• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2025. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

I have a hard time managing empathy and a lot of the personal posts here leave me emotionally distressed. I just can't turn away from other's personal tragedies and literally commiserating. It's a big part of why I work in a hospital lab and not directly with patient care. A interesting read is what USC did in LA county. They tested everyone in the county and was shocked to find that 4.1% of adults for that county had the antibodies for Wuhan Flu and didn't even know they had the virus. Meaning 28 up to 55 times higher than what has been confirmed cases, I think the number was at 8,000 confirmed cases before the study. If we take the lower end of the est 28 times 8,000 comes to 224,000 then divide the death total of 617 as of Monday then you get a death rate of .27%. I see this as a good thing, we could start opening back up with caution.

I believe this is anecdotal evidence that shows that so many of us armchair quarterbacks and even many experts are very possibly playing the game with the wrong set of rules.

But I think what pornosaur was getting at was that the vast majority of the country is at home and recieving a stimulus check, this month was the best time to sell for all platforms.

D3 on Xbox for multiple consoles works great. I'm pretty sure you must be in the same "level" but can explore any section of it and do not need to be on the same screen. Obviously, you can be on in different levels if you are not in the same game.

Sorry, but I can't compare to PC, but I assume it's similar.

Yeah- what WNYX585AM said. The console version is a ton of fun to play and I think the game does really well using a controller. Multiple consoles are ideal screewise, but playing couch co-op can be a blast as well; you just to remember you're playing together and not run off out of the screen

It's not random. The new consoles launch later this year, and Xbox has to look like they're at least trying in Japan. Each Xbox system has sold worse than the generation before it - Xbox One is advertised as a blu-ray player there. It might be a foregone conclusion for you or me that Series X won't even make a dent in that market, but they really want to court Japanese developers to release games for their platform.

Just to show you the scale of how lacking Xbox is on this front, I signed up for PlayStation Now a few days ago since it's on sale. I didn't do an official count, but this streaming service alone has more Japanese games than Xbox One does in its entirety.

I’m from Cali and never rode or drove a truck in the mud in my life but I found some satisfaction playing Mudrunner lol. I did buy it awhile back on sale, played for a bit, got stuck in completing a map, so I stopped playing and didn’t get back to it since there were other games I wanted to play too. After watching YouTube guides to get an idea which vehicles and routes to take, I gave it another shot and I finally completed that map and it gave me satisfaction. But I agree this game isn’t for everyone, I’m just glad GamePass gives people a taste of different games. There’s also a hand full of simulation games I want to try but not buy, so I’m glad they often put them on GamePass.

Yep, works with Game Pass too, we've played Borderlands this way.

Not applicable to Diablo 3, but any BC 360 games should also support LAN via System Link, assuming you have digital licenses or two disc copies. Those features are baked into the 360 software, they even have system link working with original Xbox games that are BC which is kinda cool.

There's a tutorial at least on the console versions. Well, kinda. At one point all the text turned to just straight lines and still hoped you understood it well enough to figure it out to complete the tutorial. Besides that all I remember is constantly pressing B to release the parking brake and then holding down RT allot. Nothing complex as far as I could tell and I'm glad at least some of you guys getting enjoyment out of it,

I literally never finished Skies of Arcadia because of a game breaking glitch on the Dreamcast, there is a certain town late in the game you try to load into and can get a "black screen of death" my other save was so far back, loved the game up to then. I had the Gamecube copy in my hand one time at Bestbuy and said fark this game put it down and walked away, probably bought outlaw golf or something dumber

What is your current use level at? That will really decide on what your best option is, especially if you give a shit about cable.

Personally I haven't had cable in 12-ish years, but I'm comfortable relying on streaming video or acquiring downloads of the current stuff I watch. If I didn't download I'd think I could still find most of I want by having a couple of streaming services at a time for substantially cheaper than the boost in cost that cable TV brings, and I really can't deal with TV ads anymore at this point.

I would jump at the chance to have fiber speeds so that would be a big factor for me between those three choices. If you plan on getting HBO Max already that's probably a good deal combined with the gift cards if they're for stuff you'd want. The doubled price for me would be a deal breaker though, so I'd see if you're locked into a contract at that price. No data cap would be a big plus though. I regularly hit at least 700 out of my 1024 gigs every month, and I live alone. Those are in months when I'm not actually downloading much in the way of TV shows/movies.

Spectrum is not in my area, but I've had AT&T internet in the past and was not happy with their service, though I think most of the big companies are pretty close in shittiness. Service went down somewhat frequently and my speeds tanked late at night, which sucked since I was up. This was a while ago though.

Its been happening alot and 2 factor authentication is recommend though instead of using your phone number to send you a code you need to use an authenticator app. It mentions when turning on 2 factor that if you lose access to the authenticator app or that phone you have it on you may (read will) lose access to your account.

Use the Microsoft Authenticator app, you can back up to iCloud. The Google one they recommend, if you lose your phone it's game over. A pretty ridiculous form of 2 factor, but that's Nintendo.

I have AT&T fiber and the speed I get gives me unlimited data. I have used AT&T for a long time and they have been the best service in my area. I liked their tv packages but I can’t justify paying for them like I use to. Not a fan of Spectrum because they used to be Time Warner. They had good internet service but the modems constantly die. I haven’t used their tv enough to give enough of an opinion.

While seemingly everyone else was playing Final Fantasy VI on the SNES i was a genesis kid and Phantasy Star IV was and still is one of my favorite games of all time. Been wanting a proper sequel ever since i finished IV.

Quicker, more streamlined arena vs, a revive option and lots of leveling up options for pirate legends. So it's accurate information. Scale is certainly different now, but it's true.

Said screw it, ordered satellite and fiber. Year 2 is manageable price, still $400 in Visa gift cards that will go towards buying appliances for the new house, included HBOMax with the internet, and can still watch through internet if rain interferes. Good talk everyone.
