• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
• On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold. Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2026. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

(Also think the Avowed upgrade sucks content wise vs previous upgrades for other MS games that usually include story content DLCs)

Reviews are about what I expected with the summation being: unmemorable. Apparently it's incredibly short as well if you just focus on the main quest at 20-25 hours. That's almost half what Skyrim took by comparison and works for me since I can manage that before Monster Hunter Wilds is out.

I can't shake how ESO-like it looks. And yet it's supposed to be based on POE? It really does worry me that there are NO respawns in the game so if you murder the entire game, it's completely empty. Basically means endgame is non-existent.

20 hours or so is comparable to Outer Worlds which is what the devs previously said to expect.

It's been years since I even thought to look at a gamespot review. They can sometimes be a good source for listing pre-order bonuses if it's a silly Nintendo game with something different available at every store. I don't think I've been to IGN in forever either. I watch unlocked and a few reviews on youtube, but never go to the site. I think I keep up with stuff enough through youtube, reddit, CAG, bluesky, and Trueachievements.

Not like there is much else on Xbox to play... But it only takes a short amount of time to see if I like a game or not. There will never be a day where I truest GameSpot when I can try out something that looks good myself.

I keep seeing Xbox has nothing, but Sony is fairly bare as well in the past year. They don't produce Skyrim sized games or even games with huge replay value. Saw Captain America. Pretty mid, much of the action felt bad. If anything it felt like a high budget ending to the Falcon and Winter Soldier show. Hoping Thunderbolts and Fantastic Four are much better. It would be great if they managed to right the ship before the Russo's return for Avengers.

If DC can keep their shit together with Gunn, maybe they can finally gain some ground on the MCU. Creature Commandos was great.

If Xbox truly wants everyone to play on PC and doesn't care where we play then let us play all of our console games on PC. I would sell my Series X right now and I wouldn't look back. PC is the way!

A Pc is at least 4x more expensive to jump in at base level. That's a huge no from me and probably 90% of people.

Well Dell is still stubborn as hell about price matching. Tried to get an Xbox controller today and everything sounded good in chat, but when I received the emailed quote it was for the full price. I contacted them again and plead my case. Apparently it was rejected because Dell's Manufacturer # doesn't match Target's product information. Well Target (or anyone) doesn't lists MFR numbers, only the UPC.

The 2nd agent even seemed to agree with me about Dell purposely not listing the UPC numbers, but in the end it was rejected again. He was kind enough to give $5 off the price so I took it. I'm glad it was all Dell funny money, but it just feels slimy and manipulative to say you do price matching and then reject every attempt.

just do the math with not having to pay for online and the option to not to buy games $70 a piece at launch.

a entry level pc is like $700 or not having to buy 10 games at launch. what is everyone's gaming budget each year?

I think they mostly know they kind of have us because of it being Dell money. I'm sure they look into the account and see that we have credit with them and they know they don't really need to price match because we are likely going to buy it anyway.

Saw Captain America. Pretty mid, much of the action felt bad. If anything it felt like a high budget ending to the Falcon and Winter Soldier show. Hoping Thunderbolts and Fantastic Four are much better. It would be great if they managed to right the ship before the Russo's return for Avengers.

If DC can keep their shit together with Gunn, maybe they can finally gain some ground on the MCU. Creature Commandos was great.

As a counterpoint, I enjoyed it, and my wife was awake and engaged through the whole movie, which doesn't always happen with MCU films.

It's totally very different from most of the rest of the MCU, and there are a couple questions i need resolved, but it was a decent rehabilitation of the Hulk movie into the MCU. I'd go see it again, but I wouldn't change plans to have a second viewing the way I did Infinity War and Endgame.

don't laugh, it used to be a couple hundred dollars a year during the 360/ps3 days, that's only good for like 5 games, especially if one is into annual offerings like cod and sports games.

just ask yourself how many games you have played on game pass that came out day 1 in the last 6 years. total those up and you realized you've saved enough for a high-end pc.

imagine using it to buy forza, diablo 4, starfield, cod mw3, fight simulator, hellblade 2, aoe4 + more on dell site, and you don't even have enough dell bucks.

or you just play all those games on game pass and use the $360 + however more you can earn toward a gaming pc. is it really that hard to figure it out?
