• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2025. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

Dreams really do come true, firing it up now

Here are some thoughts after messing around for an hour and a half
Still working through my first game feels incredibly familiar which is great the gameplay has always been amazing. Still dialing in my settings so it’s taking me longer to play. I haven’t played in 5 years since I got rid of my PS4 I’ve seen some animations I recognize from the past such as when you set your controller down for a few and it cuts away to the ump taking the bat from the batter and showing them how to swing it.
The graphics overlay for statistics looks nice different then I recall.
Playing on a series x load times are incredibly fast, I didn’t time it but it seemed like from the time I pressed to start the game form a closed state to actually playing an exhibition game was under a minute.
Edit: from dashboard to first pitch in an exhibition the game loaded in 1 min 7 seconds, probably would have been a few seconds faster if I were more familiar with the menus and what not
Edit: main game menu to first pitch in an exhibition took about 25 seconds which is amazing I remember loooonnng load times years ago. Also these load times were done without making any changes to the lineups just mashing A as quickly as I could to get into the game
Graphics look great on the series x too, I’ve played a lot of the show on PS3/ps4 and the graphics still look very similar to what you’re used to if you’ve played a previous entry on PS4 but have that extra 4K hdr gloss and is definitely the best looking entry in the series I’ve ever had the please of playing.
Frame rate has been great so no slowdowns or stutters and everything has been silky smooth.
It’s very strange seeing Sony entertainment come across the screen on my series x but I love it!
I haven’t found the options for better graphics vs frame rate if it’s even available in the game, but as is frame rate and graphics are both excellent.
Edit: ball physics seem better off the bat then I recall but take it with a grain of salt since I haven’t played in quite awhile.
Edit: camera transitions from a batted ball to your infield/outfield are silky smooth, players getting started moving/ jump on the ball off the bat seems a bit weightier feeling to me or it could be the individual players ratings affecting it too, could also just be me since it’s been a long time
Edit: little weird graphic oddity only noticed it in Wrigley field but when I hit a fly ball to right field the yellow line/hand rail for home runs in rf appears to shake/vibrate alittle bit, not sure if it’s screen tearing or what. Only noticed in Wrigley though. Played my first game in Cleveland and my second game in LA and didn’t see that. Playing in Houston now and not seeing this either.
Edit: last time I played years ago I remember every now and then having a laggy/stuttering pitching meter when you would try to put a little extra on a pitch that would make it alittle more difficult to hit the last line in the meter. So far I have not seen that at all, this may have been fixed in previous years as well, but glad to not be seeing that in this one.
Edit: I saw someone ask about a day one patch but can’t find it now. There was no day one patch just whatever was in the 72 gb pre load for series x. There was a roster update I believe but that was short and sweet
Edit: For achievement hunters there doesn’t appear to be the usual Sony gets a platinum trophy for obtaining all the trophies so well give Xbox a a glitched achievement for getting all the achievements, thus one less trophy/achievement compared to the PlayStation list.

Finished Deliver Us The Moon tonight and so glad I did.  By far one of the best walking simulators I've played.  I got all but 4 achievements, missed a couple collectables along the way and wasn't going to replay the game to get them.

I've got to really quit leaving these games leaving Game Pass until the last couple days.  Too much stress trying to finish the game in time.

So right when you were done with your lineups and clicked start, it took 15-20 seconds. I never timed the other stuff like you did but it sounds fast. I have played The Show pretty much every year and played a ton of The Show 20 so feel free to ask me any questions about how it changed since you last played. I will be downloading it right when it hits Game Pass so I can't comment on 21 just yet but in general, I can try to answer The Show questions from you or anyone else that is getting back into it after years off or anyone BRAND new to the game.

I am not a huge video game sports fan myself. Super Bases Loaded on SNES was the last baseball video game I remember playing. Baseball Stars on the NES is my favorite baseball video game. I had a lot of fun playing that game with my firends back in the day.

I will probably check out "The Show" as well just to see what I have missed all these years.

You’re welcome guys I ended up staying up till after 2 playing it gonna be a long day at work. Oh ok that’s good about load times I couldnt remember it’s been so long since I played the show at this point. My times are just estimates since I just used the stopwatch on my phone. Definitely excited for all the people who have missed out to get to try it.

@freezetime I’m sure these tips you already are aware of but for everyone else these are some I’ve used over the years. Enjoy though it’s fantastic on Xbox

A few tips from me and some of this may have changed coming from such an old version but set it so no matter what perspective your in throwing to home plate is A, 1st is B, 2nd is y and 3rd is x it makes a world of a difference imo.

Dynamic difficulty is also an amazing feature I wish more sports games had. I find, I think it’s all star a touch easy but the next one up just a bit too hard. With dynamic difficulty it actually tailors the game to how you play and finds a skill level to make it challenging but not unfair. It also does this for the pitching and batting so you may be really good at pitching so it sets you on the all star pitching level but your batting could use some work so it’ll set you at rookie. It also is the only way to hit a skill level between the skill levels of that makes sense. The normal game has like rookie pro all star etc etc, but using dynamic difficulty it gives you kind of half levels between say rookie and pro. As you get better at the game it will tailor its self to you.

Personal preference but for batting I prefer zone plus button for swing. Basically you have a yellow circle that’s bigger or smaller depending on the players skill and how they’re currently playing that you put over the strike zone to influence ground or fly balls depending how high or low on the strike zone you put it. Then you press A for a contact swing or x for a power swing.

The Show never disappoints me. I'm excited for all of you to be able to try it via Game Pass. But the reality is, it's a baseball game and it's not going to do much for you if you're not a big fan of the sport.

As a Diamond Dynasty player (think NBA 2K MyTeam, Madden Ultimate Team, etc), the SDS team does more with making content available without microtransactions than those other games combined. They did a stream yesterday going over all the different modes just within DD and it's flat-out phenomenal if you're even remotely into that kind of thing.

I'm not exaggerating when I say that 99% of all of my gaming will be dedicated to The Show for the foreseeable future and I'm okay with that lol.

Prices have been insane on the Vita side too. Nobody wanted it until they shut down the store. So many games that were $10 for years are suddenly over $100. Unfortunately it doesn't do me any good, since I plan on keeping my complete Vita regional sets. But if you have anything sitting around in storage, it's a good time to sell it.

I've seen some people that are just laser focused on PS3 versions, I think because that is the ecosystem they stayed in. Like even some of the YouTube "what to buy" lists are naming multiplat games that are playable on three generations is Xbox, and sometimes PC as well.

I am not panic buying but if I was I would not be doing so with multiplats unless Sony makes a statement saying the missing patches were a mistake.

To be fair I hadn't gamed on a console probably for a decade before that other then very occasionally on a friends console. I hit a bunch of home runs and was winning half way though a game. We both decided it wasn't much fun and I traded the game.

I haven't played it since. I am not even sure I will download it on my XBox One X. Would be great if my wife and I could playing it but don't think either of us would invest the time to figure it out enough to be decent at it.

Or is it accessible to newbs?

As someone who has pushed this limit multiple times for GP I can informatively say 3 am EST, midnight west coast. BUT, if you leave the game open and don't close it you can play it forever. The license is only checked when you open the program. On a Saturday once I opened a game at 2:50 am and finished it around 5 am lol.

I think it's worth downloading for sure. They've made this version very user-friendly to new players since they are expecting more first-time users than ever before. Not only do you start with picking the style from casual, simulation, or competitive, you then pick difficulty from beginner through hall of fame. So while it may require a lot of trial and error, I have to think there's a combination for everyone.

Missed this, I think there were multiple versions if the presentation or something.

There is a ray tracing mode for Series X and PS5 that locks to 45 FPS.

The normal, no ray tracing mode on Series S also locks at 45 FPS.

Anyone technically inclined on TVs able to weigh in, is 45 FPS going to cause issues? I think it should be fine if it's stable and designed for it.

Yeah there was the Sony exclusive version of the Resident Evil Showcase that you saw, which cut Xbox Series X logos and didn't show RE4 VR on Quest 2, and a multi platform version that included everything. Kind of weird that they did that. I'm hoping that the reason they didn't announce RE4 VR for PSVR is because they will be releasing it for PSVR 2 at a later date and they just aren't ready to talk about that yet.

45 FPS will be a juddery mess on most TVs. Those lucky enough to have a TV with VRR will be just fine. I expect this will get some sort of option for lower resolution or locked 30 FPS

I purchased $32 worth of games at the beginning of the sale and it took 4 or 5 days to show up on the punch card. When it finally showed up I picked up enough to finish the card and it took another 4 or 5 days for that to show up. But yeah, I did get my 5,000 points for completing it

I have loved the AC franchise since the first one came out and this is Valhalla has been the closest to disappointed since Unity. There are some good things in it but I uninstalled it as soon as I finished what achievements I had left. It’s combat system was worse than Origins and Odyssey and the story was utterly forgettable. I played both Origins and Odyssey’s DLC and kept playing them long after I finished them. I’d rather load up the other two and keep doing weekly quests and exploring and fighting in the open world than in Valhalla. I seriously would be surprised if I picked up the season pass even if it goes on sale. All of the seasonal events have been buggy so I expect the DLC to be too. I don’t regret getting it but it pales in comparison to the other two.

How long to beat
Moving Out: 5 Hours
Levelhead: 5 hours
Fractured Minds: under an hour and was my go to easy achievement game
For the king: 10+ hours.

Some pretty quick games leaving.

SOS audio/video techies out there.

I was using our community theater yesterday and the blu ray kept loosing sound for a few seconds here and there; video playback fine, just all the sound would mute for a few seconds sporadically.

Best (really only) answer I found online was a possible bad or loose hdmi (wired) connection somewhere. Kind of made sense to me because it was Chipmunks Road Chip and the audio issue seemed to be during song sequences (assuming more complex data throughput).

Not my personal setup but if someone if familiar with a simple fix I'd like to do it since we love using the theater regularly.

If I use a dvd instead of blu ray is the digital audio less demanding and therefore less likely to be impacted?

Tried playing deliver us the moon as I had it open but I got the message saying I did not own it.
New games leaving soon for gamepass:
Moving out, Levelhead, Fractured Minds and For The King.
Saw this on the app and as usual, the app does not list the date they leave. Wish the app was updated to show dates when games are leaving and dates for quests.

The spring sale punch card did not update for me either, another message to support to get the points. They need to fix this, any other rewards program I am with, gets updated either straight away or within minutes.

Crap, now I’ll have to buy Moving Out. My kid loves that. We finished it and bought the dlc which gets much too hard for her but she still wants to play it.

Doubtful on the bandwidth in this case as I don't think it's that smart. If it's just in that situation it sounds like processing issues which I get sometimes. I would do a hard reset/power cycle on the equipment involved.


My monitor is arriving Tuesday and I'm now considering moving the Series to the office to do 32" 1440p/120/mediocre sound vs 55" 4K60/Atmos. I keep going back and forth. I'll move the 1X back to the living room.

It sounds like you have either a bad cable, doubtful, or a lose connection. You need to unplug and re plug the hdmi cables. They will all get lose over time. It's just the stupid way they were engineered. Made for ease of use over practicality. Make sure there's no dust on the connection points as well. Blu-ray vs DVD vs CD wouldn't matter.

I actually want to  play XIII (despite it's reviews) as I have alot of nostalgia and sentiment attached to it despite never actually playing the game in the PS2 days.

I really hope they update MA so it shows if a movie is in 4K/DV/HDR before you select it. You have so many movies!!! I couldn't choose one in time before someone else did. Go pens!

I played through Fractured Minds but Chapter 6 achievement never popped. Played through the chapter 4 times and same result. Anyone else having this issue?

From what I’ve seen posted, MLB the Show has been ruined for RTTS players. I’m gonna hunt down a PS4 since that’s the only mode I play. What a bummer.

For the King is a really great game and currently on sale for $10. I enjoyed what I played of it so I’m going to buy that one to own. I finished the first campaign but there are a bunch more to play.

I also loved Rain on your Parade. What a fun little game.
