• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2025. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

Not a dirty little secret. People get injured doing anything wrong. I take my time and have been smart about training so built up a lot over 8 yrs of training. The people that get hurt are the newbies that let their egos push them beyond their capabilities.

iTunes never charges any more for a 4k release over HD. It seems Disney is not on board with that. Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, none are available in 4k on iTunes. It sucks but I guess that’s the trade off for getting all your HD iTunes purchases upgraded for free when they become available. Getting Harry Potter when that happened was great, and I look forward to getting LotR and Hobbit at some point too.

Won’t be 4K on iTunes because of the aforementioned dispute with Disney over pricing but it will port via MA if you buy on Vudu. In addition to Vudu, it plays 4K on Microsoft, FN, Amazon and Google as well as the MA app.

On a other note, I’m really struggling to consider I’m no longer a gamer. Too many times I turn on the Xbox and blah at my giant library only to start something up and quickly quit out. This may be the end.

I sometimes experience the same thing and over the years can usually pin it down to one of four things:

1) burnout: sometimes I'll play a game like crazy for days, or even weeks on end, but then when I put it down don't even feel like playing it, or any other game, again for a while. After some time away, I usually get the itch again.

2) avoidance: gaming can be an escape from regular life, but there are times when you know deep down that you really should be doing something more productive with your life. Whether that's studying, working, investing in relationships or whatever, sometimes your brain just won't let you be satisfied playing games.

3) achievements: when I used to chase achievements I'd often want to start a game but didn't want to put the research in to figure out the 'correct' approach first, and so some games that I wanted to play I never even started! Ridiculous in hindsight, and I'm happy that I no longer focus on gamerscore. I still follow TA, and participate in events, but only for fun, never as a chore, or 'job'

4) time investment: I put this as a separate item, since even if #1 through 3 are not the issue, I still sometimes look at the wall of games and feel daunted by the effort required to dig into them. I actually just started Plague Inc yesterday, and it turns out that each round is quick (15 min) and there is a good tutorial, two things I've learned to appreciate. Two-Point Hospital is another I've played recently that has a great tutorial and an easy learning curve. Witcher 3 on the other hand, is back on the backburner after reaching the second map, and seeing the dozens of 'points of interest' I need to investigate. It's a very good game, but requires too much time commitment for me at the moment.

I'm planning to stock up before the open beta of Phantasy Star Online 2 on the 17th, so that I can stay up and keep playing until my body finally gives out. No sleep until the level cap. I'm not sure what QT is, but my Chase debit card is a VISA, and I plan to use my Red Card at Target for an extra 5% off. Those 100 achievements are particularly stupid because they're all written and performed by the Kickstarter backers, and it's like "you paid good money to be in this game and that's the best you could come up with?". Especially the answering machine messages, half of them are so boring and generic.

Unless the game devs had severe restrictions on what you could say, but if that's the case why even pay money for that?

I never saw it on the Comcast website, but I've seen it on other tech websites and the TV news. I would say if you are concerned, don't go completely ham on downloading. I took the opportunity to download some "grey" material on my PC (it wasn't porn) and stopped when I got down to 5 gb left on my PC's hard drive. Moving that stuff to smaller flash drives until I can get an affordable external hard drive or two.

Comcast is taking steps to implement the following new policies for the next 60 days, and other important initiatives:

I don't know if they've closed the southern border yet but if anyone knows anyone that was in Mexico this weekend you might want to find out where they went before giving them a hug or anything. I don't really know why this is a bigger deal. I think some of the experts have said somethings about it, like about it being so unkown. I think a thousand Americans had died and 20 thousand Americans had the swine flu before they even started doing anything about it. They probably want to reduce the spread before it has a chance to mutate too much also. There are probably other reasons also. I don't mind restrictions and shutting down things for a little while if it slows down the spread and helps save some lives.

I kept pressing all the buttons in hopes it would cut the dialogue. It’s fortunate I missed anything worse or as bad. Nothing could entice me to play that game again. Yeah, I’m with you, I hate that game.

Lost some sleep to Ori last night. Had one crash but no other major issues. It's a very charming game.

Really though I just wish Bethesda would release Doom Eternal (or even Doom 64R) early while we're all supposed to be isolating.

That's like 5 minutes in. lol I used a guide and got all the achievements. It was bs that you had to play through it on both difficulties to get all of them. That said I liked the story, especially the ending, and I found the 4th wall breaking jokes and references to the 80s adventure games amusing.

If you have an Amex and a local QT you can do better than that. They have a spend $10 get a $5 statement credit that can be used 3 times.

Hopefully it's in effect. I trust Comcast as far as I can throw them. There are no indicators on the usage meter or even an email. For now I took a screenshot of my current usage and we'll see if it changes.

The email I got from them failed to mention lifting the data cap but after seeing the link posted here yesterday from a few days back I logged into my account and saw my cap was changed from 1024gb to 200000gb. I proceeded to update/download everything I can. Lets see if I can hit my new cap.

edit: Just checked again on a whim and it's back to 1024gb. My usage meter shows me just under it, but I know from experience how slow it is to update so I've definitely gone over. I never received the notification for going over 75% however, so that suggests it isn't in effect.

I beat Pikuniku with most of the achievements in only about five hours. All of the puzzles in the game are physics based. So, a few of them can be a little frustrating. I also experienced a game breaking glitch, where an NPC wasn't in a room that he was supposed to be in to keep the story going. It was a fun little time waster, with some goofy humor. But, I can't imagine spending the $20 that I think they want for it. Very happy that I have Game Pass Ultimate for 11 months for only $1 thanks to Bing points.

I sometimes experience the same thing and over the years can usually pin it down to one of four things:

4) time investment: ...Witcher 3 on the other hand, is back on the backburner after reaching the second map, and seeing the dozens of 'points of interest' I need to investigate. It's a very good game, but requires too much time commitment for me at the moment.

For a completionist, seeing all those things pop up on the map can be overwhelming. Keep in mind that for a lot of these open world games, a majority of the new map points are not really necessary for progression. They could be simple diversions or minor side quests. I usually just focus on the mission/quest log and ignore the map. If it's not a required quest for getting to my next quest, then I don't bother unless I feel like it.
