• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
• On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold. Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2025. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

Does no one worry about a game being too easy? I almost always play at normal first time because a game being boring is worse to me than if it's frustrating. Most games you can become better at to overcome a higher difficulty but if its too easy its just like why am I bothering with this. It's why game balance is so important to me when I rate the quality of a game. Some SP games are so imba it's like they never play tested them.

For me, it depends on type of game, why I'm playing, and/or how the game treats difficulty. Like if I'm really into the game for the visuals, characters, humor, and/or story, then I prefer to just fly through it on easy. Don't see the point of wasting an hour on a boss fight when I can do it in 10 minutes and get on with the story.

If a higher difficulty simply means I do the same thing to defeat the enemies, but it takes more time (i.e., enemies simply have more health or does more damage), then idgaf and play on easy. That's not a challenge imo. Just a waste of my time. However, if a game requires you to play more smartly, then it's worth cranking up the difficulty. Jedi Fallen Order is an example. You have to watch their attacks, anticipate, and fully use everything in your arsenal in those boss fights. It's not a matter of spamming your lightsaber.

Damn, that's crazy that people complain about games being easy. Being a story based gamer, I WANT games to be easy. If I want a hard/challenging game I play multiplayer games. I feel like story based single player games should ALWAYS be easy rather than hard.

Its why I avoid Dark Souls and turn based stuff, because they're equally frustrating and aren't fun at all. I don't get a sense of accomplishment when I beat a boss or win a turn based fight like some do, I actually hate 99% of boss fights. I personally don't believe that any single player games should be frustrating gameplay wise.

That is one of the things my wife and I do all the time. She loves watching me play games. Its like an extended movie to her and she will help me by helping me solve puzzles, she will see a "shiny" in the background and help me collect them (you know the collectables I am talking about). Hell, there are times I will miss something and she points it out. It makes the games more enjoyable sharing that time together. It has been one of our hobbies for the last 18 years.

Last night while we were playing TLOU2, she got really riled up with what happened to a certain character and yelled out, "we are going to KILL them all!" LOL I never have seen her so pissed at a group of characters before. We are enjoying the hell out of the game.

Easy games = Easy achievements. That's a big plus in my book. Though it feels weird that I've now come to the habit where I blue balls some of my achievements now only so I'll have one in the chamber ready for the daily 50 points in Rewards.

Also I don't know if I should be proud or ashamed that some people in this state take Coronavirus seriously enough that on some camping sites there are people who leave notes on cars with out of state license plates to "get the hell out" and come back later.

For some reason, I always thought up on the d-pad was all those ways to communicate with other people. I have hotkeyed my weapons and I see that you can also hotkey food and drinks too.

Down on the Dpad is the emote wheel that is a way to communicate with others, though it is missing several emotes that would be very helpful communicating with others. Also keep in mind there is a very old bug that Bethesda hasn't bothered to fix (or maybe it is one they did but a later patch regressed the bug, something that happens a lot) that causes items on your hotwheel to move or just disappear completely. Every day I have to add weapons back to at least one character's wheel.


Chems can make your hunger and water meter go down faster. Honestly I think the server plays a part in it too, the worse the server, the faster it goes down. Keep in mind different food and drink replenish the bars differently. Some a measly 6%, others could be 25%. The Good Doggy Endurance perk will make canned dog food replenish 30% of your food bar, instead of the normal 10%. The Mutation Speed Demon also causes you to eat and drink more frequently, a mutation I have on all my characters. If you suffer from Parasites or Dysentery, those will make your meters drop like a rock.


You don't need repair kits to repair weapons and armor, the basic way to repair is at their respective workbenches, it just costs junk to repair them. Press Y at a weapon or armor workbench to enter the modify menu and from there you can get to the very clunky repair option. That was the only way until Bethesda decided to add them in to make more money a year or so ago. When they added the kits they also made it more cumbersome to repair at them to get you to break down and buy the repair kits. You can get the better Improved Repair Kits by completing certain public events, though they are the hardest ones. Maybe some of the challenges in the challenge menu as well, they removed some of the Atom rewards awhile ago to give other in game items.


There are maps people have made online that will point you to just about anything you want to find, like safes and terminals and even what level they are. I've relied on them in the past when looking for specific things, particularly good locations to farm flux (you don't need to worry about flux at your level) and where resource nodes are for a good camp location.


In the past once you hit level 5 pacifist was disabled and you had to enable it again, they may have changed that though, several patches have made changes to make the game easier, because Bethesda wants casuals playing who will then want to spend money on Atoms. Fast travel is free to your owned workshops in case you didn't notice as well as Vault 76 and any public event, which are the events with the ! symbol on it.


The daily you must be referring to is the one in the Toxic Valley requiring you to kill specific creatures, sounds like it wanted you to kill a Honey Beast. It will give you circles on the map where you can supposedly kill one, but anyone can kill it before you get there, if they are even there at all. When I bothered with that quest I would just go to other locations I knew I could reliably find what it wanted me to kill. Switching servers will even change what it wants you to kill, though it may reset the progress, I don't recall. You're going to find quest markers can be less then helpful, especially if you wear power armor and don't go into settings to disable the power armor HUD. Sometimes a bug will just give you a door icon indicating you need to go inside or outside depending on your current location, when in fact you don't.


And speaking of bugs, disconnecting from the server is pretty common. Some days are worse than others, it depends on the health of the server and just what is going on at the time. You just missed a day where the entire game was offline for a solid 8 hours and IIRC Bethesda never bothered to say what happened. Scorchbeast Queen fights (I recommend you avoid those until you are higher level) have a tendency to negatively affect it. Lots of stuff going on at the same place can do it, the recent Fasnacht event was horrible. So much lag it would take several minutes for the event to update so we were all running around like idiots trying to do things that had already been done. I experience more freezes and outright crashes than I do server disconnects these days. When a server disconnects, you'll never know how much time you will lose. Never seems to be more than a few minutes at most in my experience though.


BTW, while I can understand wanting to play it solo (I do except when my GF plays with me which is rare these days) you should still consider doing public events that aren't too high level when others are doing them. You're technically on a team so you can see their location better, and if you succeed (most are really hard to fail) you'll get XP as well as bunch of random junk and aid items you will be able to use at your low level. Maybe even a rare cosmetic if you are really lucky. I'm still trying to get several that can only drop from events, and I've put nearly 3000 hours into this game. I'm also doing more public events than I used to because they drop Treasury Notes after completing the Wastelanders quest line, which is required for a lot of new plans that they added that will take forever to get every one I want on each character since none of them can be traded.

40 in two months. I tend to go with normal difficulty on games. I like a little challenge but some games just aren't fun on higher difficulties. But if you throw me an achievement for completing the game on a harder difficulty, I start punishing myself. Currently doing an Insanity run in Mass Effect 3

I Remember emptying several whole clips into a man's skull right in the beginning levels of the first Division demo. In the end I don't think I killed him so much so that I just gave him a horrible headache and he fell to the ground needing an aspirin badly. I Hope in the very least when he wakes up that I damaged him enough that he can't smell rain anymore.

I'm tempted to pick up the risk of rain bundle. They look cool and I've heard good things but I could see either coming to gamepass or possibly GwG so I don't think I'll bite at 50%.

If I really like a series or think I'll like a game I'll play on higher difficulties to maybe get all the achievements but for the most part I'll just play a game for fun and if it's not fun on the default difficulty I'll drop it down.

I finished the game yesterday, it is definitely the weakest entry in the series. I also suggest you look up the other endings once you complete the game.

I really hope for Life is Strange 3 that they go back to the main character has super powers again. Playing as Max in 1 with her power made it by far the best entry in the game. Then the prequel you play as Chloe with no power and now Sean also no power. It has made these games closer to the Telltale games than the special experience the first game was.

RoR2 is quite a fun game, but if you happen to have a switch I'd say that's the platform to get it for (if you don't want to wait for GP) since it's completely gameplay oriented and is a drop in/drop out kinda game. Not necessarily a game where you would want to sit down and actually play it on a T.V.

It's a Kemco RPG; which is a company that seems to put out new cookie-cutter RPGs almost every month on iOS, Android, and consoles. Doubt this game is anything particularly special. That said, I did enjoy one Kemco RPG at least; just finished Asdivine Hearts a few weeks ago. Certainly not a classic, but I enjoyed it and it was relatively short considering it's an RPG.

Xbox talk: my most favorite additions to GamePass have been 'The Messenger' and 'Lonely Mountains Downhill' (added a long time ago).  'The Messenger' plays like a NES Ninja Gaiden / Castlevania III fever dream and it's been a ton of fun.  'Lonely Mountains Downhill' is a blast once you get the controls down.

The messenger is great, I have it on switch and I’m terrible at it. But I love when you get revived how the little red guy roasts you for it, not to mention keeps count of your deaths.

I would also love a deep on 'Shadow of the Tomb Raider'- these recent games have been a fantastic entry point to the franchise.

It was my least favorite in the series reboot. The puzzles seemed better and more varied from what I recall(played it at launch so it’s been awhile) there was way less combat then the last ones which was a bit of a disappointment. The hub city’s were kind of just more for fetch quests and collect a thons then anything else, I don’t personally feel like they added much to the game. I don’t want to say the game was boring per se but i didn’t have nearly as much fun as with the other ones. Graphics looked fantastic on a one x and it controlled just as good as ever. Most of the dlc was good and possibly better then the main game. I still had fun with the game overall but it just didn’t enjoy it as much as the previous entries.

Edit: take this all with a grain of salt though like I said I haven’t played it since I beat it at launch so I could be misremembering a bit.

It varies... I was able to finish Brothers last month on the last day and was worried of the same thing. You roughly have 7.5 hours left of gameplay. I'm at the last chapter myself and been "blueballing" it to get the daily 50 Microsoft reward points"
