• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
• On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold. Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2025. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

Yokus island is one of my biggest gaming surprises that I've ever experienced, similar to Unravel 1. It's literally so fun to play and is such a fantastic indie game. Never thought I would ever have a thing for pinball in video games but I've loved both Yokus and Demons Tilt.

Good thing I recently bought the definitive edition of Kingdom Come on disc so that's not a big loss. I thought DMC5 was garbage.

I enjoy the game's mood it's personality and variety.

Because of the isometric view, i really didn't enjoy the camera being restricted for the platforming areas. Nothing impossible, just not enjoyable.

Fun game for sure. Trying to land on a smallish sphere in the dark with little camera control was tough. I have about 3 things to complete from my to-do list, but also recommend playing.

There's no way I am starting such a massive RPG with only a couple of weeks before it leaves. That being said, I love games that are difficult and beat you up at the start, makes the pay off at the end more worth it. Everything I've read looks like the devs put a lot of love into this game. Will keep an eye out for a sale in the future.

I just 100% completed The Touryst earlier today. The graphics are so sharp and clean. Also it's amazing the amount of love and atmosphere they were able to cram into a 231MB game. From the lighting, the rain, to the way the grass and trees sway in the wind. All things you might take for granted in a game until you realize that a half billion dollar budget game like Halo infinite couldn't even do it. All of the vegetation in Halo Infinite was completely static and lifeless.

Got my $15 Code Vein from Best Buy. Yeah, it’s another Souls type game but the AI co-op, anime style and complex combat definitely set it apart. Also kind of cool that you can basically change your class on the fly.

Wish they went back to giving us a month notice on games leaving. Kingdom Come Deliverance is in my backlog, but no way I'll be able to complete it in two weeks, I'm still grinding out the last few SCORE levels in Fallout 76. Even if I wasn't, I doubt I could do everything I wanted to in two weeks. I may try and be disappointed I don't finish it anyway.

It's hard to get upset over the new look of them when they were originally the most blatant Ninja Turtle rip offs ever. Also it looks like Battletoads by way of the last Rayman platformers so I got no complaints. Even than Game Pass and such so it's already there.

Also am I only one refraining from playing Grounded only because I want the full achievement gaining experience?

Nah, they only buy out technologies that are popular so they don't have to do R&D on their own. Until WB comes out with an image of a tunnel you can paste onto a rock face that roadrunners can travel through, Microsoft isn't interested.

I was actually surprised somewhat at the game. I'm not very big into the "Survival" genre and I think ultimately I still won't be into it with this game. It was a lot better looking that I thought it was going to be, but doesn't seem to be a ton of story to it, just wandering around so I can see this being in Game Preview for awhile.

I pre-ordered the Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning FATE Edition since it's 10% off and it should have got me the 5,000 point and the $10 gift card from the Summer Spotlight promotion.

I only got 1,979 points for spending money and that was it. I contacted Microsoft and they said I should have got the punch card points instead and they added 3,021 points to my account to round up the total to 5,000. They told me you don't get purchase points and punch card points when completing a punch card.

I'm pretty sure I won't be getting the $10 gift card

Yeah, I've noticed when they have offers like "get 5000 points for buying this", they add points to what you normally get for making a purchase to get a total of 5000 (instead of adding a flat 5000), so the offers aren't quite as good as they seem.

The version of KOA with the expansion isn’t listed in the spotlight sale which is probably why it didn’t t trigger the rewards quest.

There’s a 2000 point quest in the Xbox rewards app, needs to be done by August 15.  Nothing difficult.

Finished Carrion. The lack of a map was only a serious issue when considering back-tracking for completionist reasons, which I quickly bailed on. The ending was great, though.

This isn’t good. We don’t need another F2P micro transaction crap fest. Guess I should withhold judgment but just feels like it’s cheapening the IP.

I think it will be fine. Halo's true staying power is in MP, and it's one of the few FPS games (imho) which still retains a very unique look and feel in its movement, weapons, and design. Most other modern shooters feel like CoD or a modded CoD. Halo 5 didn't reviee great but the online has never been deserted, and it had optional microtransactions. If this were a low budget or standalone release (like those iPad games or Gears Pop) I'd be more skeptical. This also means they can release sequels, new campaign, etc without splintering the MP base the way separate retail releases usually do.

I think it only cheapens the IP if Game Pass also does, since they basically gave out tons of Game Pass subscriptions and then put all first party games on there. Fixing the Halo collection and porting it to PC has proven that people still want to play Halo, so putting it out in a way that is more level and competitive with Apex Legends, Warzone, and Fortnite makes sense.

Was able to 100% Rime last night. Wish I had started a day earlier so I didn't have to grind stuff out while worrying it would leave gamepass at any moment. I liked it, just wish you could see what collectibles you were missing in the pause menu and not just the level select screen. Forgot I still needed a collectible when I quit out so basically played one level 3 times.

contact rewards support and say the days/points you missed

tell them you know that they are aware of the problem and that it is fixed and would like the points you missed out on manually added iff possible

myself and others received missing points added manually as well as 150-200 extra points for the trouble

I believe your best bet is making them aware that you know it was a widespread issue and that others got help that way you don't get a canned response where they tell you that the points were already added when they weren't

if 300ish points is worth filling out a ticket to you give it a try

It was still broken for me late last night when I popped a couple achievements.

I decided to try Kingdom Come Deliverance, and man, it's not what I had hoped for. Controls are terrible, I feel like a puppet on strings when I move, and it takes me an ungodly amount of time to interact with some objects because I have to find the magic spot to put my cursor AWAY from the object before I can interact with it half the time. The lockpick minigame is horrible, I hear it's much easier with M+KB. I also hate the save system. I hated using consumables to save in RE2 on N64, and I still hate them today.
