• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2025. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

I was going to go for 100% but the arcade games ruined my patience. They feel easy but after losing the racing game multiple times I decided I didn't care.

There is a part you have to make a jump to cut off about 6 seconds of your time. Once you find that, I googled it, I did it the second time. Before that, I spent about 30 minutes so I feel you.

Yeah, the game is very forgiving when it comes to how you land.....as long as its the front of the board, no matter how 'flat' it counts it as a land and not a spill. So, I just got lucky when it landed on my play-through since I was horizontal instead of vertical landing.

I have 150 MBPS internet and running speed tests on everything confirms I'm in triple digits, yet when I've checked all three XB1s I'm literally getting speeds under 1 MBPS lol.

So I'm not exactly sure how I got the 540 spin but make sure you do a trick after every jump to build your speed, either the 180 degree or the simple nose dive. Other than that go all the way down before going back up. So basically you want to build up your speed and momentum kind of like a pendulum swing. Also keep spinning to the right seemed to work. Good luck!

You do realize that the PS4 destroyed the Xbox One in sales this generation and part of that reason is no variety in games, right? If you wanted to play Yakuza and Final Fantasy VII you would have bought a PS4. The people that actually buy consoles for these types of games aren't going to wait years for them to finally be ported over to Xbox. Microsoft would do better to invest money in good Japanese exclusives instead of substandard first party titles that no one wants to play. Other than Halo, Gears,a and Forza I'm willing to bet most if not all of their first party games sold below 200,000.

In an alternate timeline this would have happened if not for the great minds of Kaz Hirai, Jack Trenton and Andrew House which saw them turn around the most disastrous console launch in history and actually out sell the xbox 360 despite being the dominant console for most that generation. PS3 got swan swongs like The Last of Us which catapulted the PS4. Where is the Xbox One's swan song? 7 years later and Phil Spencer's great crowning achievement to this generation is Voodoo Vince!? We're at the advent of a new console generation and Halo has never looked or ran more like dogshit. Ryse Son of Rome from 2013 looks more like a next gen game than Halo Infinite does. What has Phil Spencer been doing for the past 7 years? This generation did not have to go down the way it did. Time to stop blaming Don Mattick and realize that his successor is nothing more than a snake oil salesman. Xbox fans deserve better!

Honestly, MS in general seems to have not really cared much about games since Kinect in 2010.

Xbox really had an image problem this gen that Microsoft didn't seem to care to address it. Every time the Xbox has no xclusives argument came up they should have been talking about the X1 exclusives and promoting stuff like D4 instead of letting it die in obscurity.

Gamers also have the memories of goldfish and I always hear about how Sony is where you always go for fighting games and xbox never catered to this. I remember back in the OG xbox days when Guilty Gear X2#Reload, SVC Chaos, KOF Neowave etc were released only on Xbox in North America because Sony USA wouldn't approve them for playstation. Not to mention all xbox ports of fighters with netplay, however primitive it was. And just last gen the xbox 360 was THE tournament standard for most fighting games with the ps3 ports being littered with shit like input lag (which is still in a thing in SFV on ps4 compared to the PC version).

Higher price difference aka $599 didn't stop the PS3 from continuing to fight throughout the entire generation to regain the consumers trust and it ended up being a pretty damn good one and it catapulted them into the stratosphere. If all it took to sink Xbox this gen was a meme of someone handing over a used game to another person then the Xbox never stood a chance. Let's call a spade, a spade. Xbox failed this generation because they gave up. Who goes around cancelling games for a console that's starving and desperate for games? That falls on Phil Spencer. Xbox One X is the greatest console ever created. It was a disservice to the fans to not have the games to go along with this monster hardware.

Remember that Xbox original plan was to allow sharing of your digital library with up to 10 friends. That is infinitely better than passing around a used disc amongst your friends before they scrapped that idea. I guess MS just suck at marketing. That was six years ago. Phil walked into a shitfest, but six years is an eternity in the tech industry, and Xbox still has nothing to show for it other than the old warhorses they always relied on. Playing through Ghost of Tsushima, I kept thinking about how far ahead the Sony IPs are. I love the Xbox ecosystem, but games I truly care about and connect with are on PlayStation. The only first party Xbox game currently out that remotely interests me is Grounded. I thought Sunset Overdrive was good and unique, but look at how that went.

I would love to give benefit of the doubt to Xbox with next-gen, but it’s tough believe that they will put out meaningful and polished games.

Microsoft and Nintendo thought they were in a no-lose situation with Wii selling 100 million in 7 years and Kinect selling 24 million in 2 years. Too many people thought the Wii U was an add-on for the Wii and most people were over Kinect in general by the time the One came out. That or they never saw that Microsoft reversed their no-used games idea.

Amalur isn't counting for some reason. I had to contact Microsoft, and they said that they would add $40 to my total, but that never happened, and it's been two days since I bought the game.

I mean I'd say quite the opposite using your exact same points. Microsoft launched xbone as a complete and utter shit show. No one is ever going to deny that. Then Phil came in. At the time the goal was salvage and save the Xbox brand and that is exactly what he has done. Has Xbone had many great exclusives this gen? Absolutely not. But they've done every single other step right. I'm not sure why their "swan song" has to be an exclusive game?

Giving me full access to my Xbox game purchased covering almost all of my digital 360 titles and a number of original Xbox titles, all enhanced, with more bc coming next gen is incredible. That's like the blessing of PC gaming. Maybe it's not interesting for most but it's incredibly often my friends and I break out old games to play together. The fact that now I can just launch them from my modern system and not have to break out my PS3, PS2 like PlayStation going with is ing incredible. The fact that I can live stream any game I own, or screw it games I don't own and play them anywhere from my phone - is ing awesome. Gamepass is unquestionably the best deal in gaming. I have already saved a boatload of money thanks to gamepass plus I've been able to try out games I'd have otherwise not ever looked at - and have since thoroughly enjoyed. It's an insane deal.

And so sure MS doesn't have many exclusives this gen that I've been interested. But so what? They've built an eco system where almost every game I'm buying is on Xbox as I know going generations forward I'll be able to play them all no problem - with the sole exception of PlayStation exclusives obviously. And during that time MS bought I mean idek what 15-20 studios. All those exclusives which will be coming next gen now that they own all of these studios I'll be able to get as exclusives. And I won't have to spend a dime on them to get them on launch day. including games from Obsidian.

Yeah no one's going to deny Xbox lacked exclusives this gen. But they came back in a way I didn't expect nor thought possible. They had so many "swan songs" it's mind boggling.

Now maybe none of that matters to you, or others here. You like your AAA exclusives and honestly that's great. I thought Ghost of Tsushima was a bit lackluster but Last Of Us 2 was amazing as were a number of other PS exclusives this gen. But I definitely like to play way beyond just those prestige and AAA titles and Xbox is a way better place for me to do that now. Which is the last thing I thought I'd be saying at the beginning of this generation

You do realize that the PS4 destroyed the Xbox One in sales this generation and part of that reason is no variety in games, right? If you wanted to play Yakuza and Final Fantasy VII you would have bought a PS4. The people that actually buy consoles for these types of games aren't going to wait years for them to finally be ported over to Xbox. Microsoft would do better to invest money in good Japanese exclusives instead of substandard first party titles that no one wants to play. Other than Halo, Gears,a and Forza I'm willing to bet most if not all of their first party games sold below 200,000.

The Xbox One was $100 more than the PS4 and weaker.

It also had the fallout of the Xbox One reveal and DRM attached to it.

I love Japanese developed games as much as anyone but for the vast majority they are not system sellers unless it's a Nintendo IP.

Other than Halo, Gears,a and Forza I'm willing to bet most if not all of their first party games sold below 200,000.

Sea of Thieves has sold over 1M copies on Steam alone.

I have no doubt both Ori titles surpassed 200K and Grounded is a huge hit already.

Ryse Son of Rome & Dead Rising 3 did as well.
