• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
• On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold. Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2025. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

I never really gave Pinball FX a chance but the Williams' tables may be what changes that.

I've bought a lot of tables for the Xbox 360 version of Pinball FX2 (all of those with achievements). Can I somehow have those imported into Pinball FX3 for the Xbox One? I remember they could be imported into the Xbox One version of Pinball FX2 but I never looked into it or even launched the game on the Xbox 360.

Yeah I think my previous tables did but that was back when FX3 launched. I could be confusing it with FX2 though since it was so long ago. I know some of the FX2 stuff doesn't have FX3 versions like say Street Fighter II

Hey guys my Series X Controller is often losing sync with my Series X and then it’s hard to pair.
Any tips other than a reboot?

Fortunately this is a known issue at MS, so we can probably expect a fix for it in the next OS update.

It's not really obvious from the name, but "Ultimate Pack" in the current sale gets you the DLC characters and skins for Injustice 2. Worth it if you like the game and don't already have them.

Anyone ever use the console streaming to game on their phone over their wifi?

I tried it out a couple days ago to play Star Wars Racer while in bed on my phone (works great, those graphics look nice on a tiny screen - I can't see those detailed HD games well on the phone screen) but the dang thing fired up my xbox, TV, and soundbar over the ARC connection when it booted on.

Anybody run into that issue and any solutions to disable it while streaming but leaving it active while gaming at the TV? I assume no, but since I don't even know what that would be called to search, figured it would be good to ask...

I've played around with it a lot at home, and have even used it traveling. I don't think it's possible without turning off all the other CEC or IR controls. I unplug the xbox from the tv when I travel. But it should be able to tell you're away from the console so not to turn on everything else. CEC is such a poor standard, it might not be able to handle, but the XBox One IR blaster can almost definitely be programmed to skip it's job.

I occasionally boot it up on my ipad to grind Injustice 2 characters while I work

It does work well.... I just turn down the volume on the TV.

I never really gave Pinball FX a chance but the Williams' tables may be what changes that.

I've bought a lot of tables for the Xbox 360 version of Pinball FX2 (all of those with achievements). Can I somehow have those imported into Pinball FX3 for the Xbox One? I remember they could be imported into the Xbox One version of Pinball FX2 but I never looked into it or even launched the game on the Xbox 360.

There was an xbox oriented podcast where one of the hosts supposedly got word from one of the developers of it coming to game pass.

But to my knowledge, no information has been shared as far as dates. Or even confirmed that it's coming to game pass.

Really? It took me maybe 4-5 hours max to 100% that game and only needed a map for the last achievement or so. You should be unlocking many achievements by now.

Yeah, something's definitely wrong with that... Perhaps you were playing during one of the periods that Live has issues with achievements unlocking. Be warned though, if you care about that sort of thing, the first achievements you'll unlock in Carrion are odd-numbered I believe (don't end in 5 or 0).

If you like Carrion, try out Sea Salt before that one leaves GamePass. It's great because you get to consume people just like in Carrion!

In the NoClip documentary on Hades, Supergiant said the main reason they changed engines for the game was so they could easily port it to additional platforms. Their previous games remained on limited platforms because they are a small team and chose not to outsource. This doesn't mean anything either way for GamePass, but Xbox and PS ports are heavily implied.

I wonder if that little pop up where you have to say "Yes" to allow Xbox Live to access your information didn't pop up when you started the game on PC. Had that happen to me on a few games where I should have been getting achievements on PC.

The price and performance seem worth the lack of disc drive and having to rotate games around from the internal SSD to an external. Plus more manageable to get that and then transition to the Series X when that gets redesigned and goes for a hundred and some cheaper.

Sounds like the Series X version of Hitman 3 runs at 4K 60 FPS. PS5 is only 1800p. Figures the one game I choose to get on PS5 is the one that has that big of a difference.

I mean 1800p is pretty good I figure, I've still mostly been playing my Series X on my 1440p monitor for the refresh rates over my 4k Samsung KS8000.... when I pick up on of these 2.1 HDMI tvs that will change.

If you get a Series S and a Seagate expansion card you're already paying more than a Series X costs.

Use a cheaper external SSD or HDD to swap games back and forth.

external will work on many things, that expansion card on "one" thing but also not a 1:1 experience

My series X must have heard you guys talking about controllers desyncing.  I had no problems with it until I saw it mentioned here, now I've had it happen 2 days in a row.  At first I thought my controller ran out of batteries because it disconnected, but looked down and the light on the controller was blinking.  Tried other controllers and none would connect.  Tried a USB C cable and it wouldn't connect.  Tried powering off and back on and it wouldn't connect.  You actually have to do a hard reset to get it to fix.  I hope Microsoft gets a fix out quick for this, if I had lost any game progress I wouldn't be happy, luckily the game I was playing saved both times before it happened.

The one I linked is $90 cheaper and will still be faster than you're probably used to. Good compromise for the next few years, and you can even repurpose it if you need to upgrade later on due to increasing storage requirements for game files.

I wish I was caught up enough to play new games as they hit gamepass. I am so permanently behind I am always struggling to squeeze even smaller games into the backlog between the time they are announced to be leaving gamepass and when they actually leave.
