• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
• On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold. Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2025. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

Thinking about it, the deal shouldn't matter for BC announcments anyways. They just seem like an obvious choice due to what's happening in general, they were already used to tease the new features, and would probably offer the easiest, widest variety of games easily that aren't previously first-party.

You have to play the Game Pass version because it's a different SKU than the GOTY version.

The Saints Row 3 remaster is honestly amazing, and doesn't feel dated the way a lot of remasters do where they look great but you can tell you're playing a 10 year old game. It always controlled well, but the remaster is just a reminder of what a great game it already was. I'm hoping we got a proper new Saints Row game in a new city.

Agreed. Part of the appeal of the Series X to me is to play the best versions of games, kind of like upgrading a PC for better performance on games you already enjoy. Games that were already enhanced for One X (RDR2, for example) often look incredible and run best on the new hardware.

4 plays so much better than 360, but it does show it's age a bit now since it's VCR xbox level tech. I'm also hoping for Gamepass.

Tempted to get Division 2 expansion now that the 60fps patch hit, $8 seems a fair value for the content. Level boost will be nice.

That's good to hear, I never did end up playing that even though I own the PC and 360 versions. Maybe I'll finally play this one, although I'm bummed about how they changed Cheapy D.

Gat Out of Hell is a really fun, concise experience. Underrated game imo.

I have a hard time understanding stuff like this unless you're talking about glitches. The way a character looks is so inconsequential to me for any game I have ever played. Of course, i'm also the guy who will spend as little time as possible using a character creator and finds cosmetic purchases to be insane. I can understand how a character looks might enhance a game, but don't understand how it detracts from a game. To each their own...

It’s one of my favorites too. If they would have just cleaned up the models, that would have been perfect but they changed most of them completely.

This is like saying I no longer want to eat at my favorite restaurant because they repainted the building. Sure, I can think the paint job looks bad, but it's still the same location, people, and food that I have always liked. I accidentally messed up my sons game. He wanted me to play for him to earn him battle pass levels. He was being matched with unskilled players so I won 3 matches in a row with over 12 kills on his profile and then it dropped me into matches with level 500’s, now we’re not sure if it will move him back to his skill level or not since he is playing again.

Those 3 matches felt like I was playing Doom on easy mode and then it went to playing Call of Duty on Veteran mode.

They definitely have a skill based match making system in place. I usually average between 0-5 kills a match on my profile, I haven’t had over 10 in a long time.

Yeah, pretty much every shooter has some sort of MMR system.  It's a reason people will make new smurf accounts so they can stomp on newbies.

Hopefully it should drop your son back to his intended level eventually.
