• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2025. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

I know I had bought a game with credit that I ended up refunding a while ago, and they were able to reinstate the credit with the unsaid bonus of it no longer having an expiration date.

If forced to burn credit, it's hard to say. Obviously look over the spring sale, there are some decent options even excluding GamePass stuff. I'd also consider games that rarely go on sale if you have any in mind. There is other hardware on the store as well, like the Elite controller.

I don't remember, I think when pre-ordering with 100% credit it does charge right away, so that might be an option. There is a decent amount of stuff listed that are somewhat safe bets, like Resident Evil or Mass Effect.

If you're looking specifically for game recommendations, it'd be helpful to mention what games or genres you typically like, the thread has pretty broad tastes. Also worth mentioning if you plan on having Game Pass long term or not.

I'm near the end of Deliver Us The Moon.  I'm not as high on it as some of the reviews I've seen.  I think I liked Tacoma more (a very similar game).  The comic book collectible achievement is bugged - you have to collect all of them without closing the game for it to count.  Apparently you can use chapter select, playing far enough to a checkpoint after each one for them to count when you exit back to the menu.  I don't think I'm going to waste my time, even though missing one achievement is going to bug me.

Since you’re looking for “stuff” to get and not just games, why not look for the expansion memory for the series X/S? Would take a chunk of credit but be a good thing to hold on to for when you do get the system in the future.

If you have a physical copy of 2, you basically have to install it and then download a key that unlocks the game in 3. For the digital editions, I would assume they also give you access to the same digital key for 3. I believe io has a website that requires an account where you register all three games online. There was an issue early on where the key for 2 wasn’t downloading correctly but I believe it’s been fixed.

As long as you own a copy of the first two games on your account, you should be able to pull the base content for the games over to 3. The gold version of the first game brings everything over to 2 and 3. 2 only transfers the base game to 3, unless you have a season pass or gold version. All Hitman 3 versions support adding 1 & 2 content, not just deluxe or gold.

Games journalism is funny to me. This article is written about another sites article and I went to that site where they are pulling the info from and I still don’t see where it says it was the MLBs decision? The Sony rep only says it was the MLBs decision to bring the game to more players, how do we know he’s talking about Gamepass? It doesn’t say what the interviewer asked him. I bought the second season/hitman 2 standard and it unlocked most of the stuff except the last two missions. So assuming I needed gold edition for the last two missions. It was $12 vs $19 (?) So I decided to save a few dollars but lost some content.

I would assume that the MLB most likely told Sony that if they did not allow The Show on other platforms then they would not re-up their publisher exclusivity deal. It does not make a lot of financial sense for the MLB to be locked into one system. It does not seem like a good idea for Madden to be the only NFL game in town, either, but at least that is multiplatform.

The game looks really nice. If it hits GamePass I will play it to see if I can get into it, but realistically, I'm not sure I will be taking the time to replay something I've already played when there are so many other games I need to get through.

I think blade is referring to some features looking more exaggerated (cheek bones, eyes) the way some drag performers do with makeup. I wouldn't go that far, but when watching the video, more than 2-3 times I thought the updated models were the old ones because they looked kind of funny. I'm hoping they look better in motion, but I'm in either way because I love ME too much not to.

I actually liked Andromeda, despite it's flaws, and I hope they add something, even a minor acknowledgement (NPC dialogue while people are waiting in line on the Citadel, or something about ark construction funding). It doesn't have to be blatant, just some easter eggs. Resident Evil has done that with updated ports as more games get added to canon and I'd like to see it.

I still doubt they'll add stuff like that, but with them changing the lobby area and supposedly boss area on Noveria, I'm not completely skeptical of something minor. But I think it could actually be something like a poster or hologram in the environment. The problem with referencing Andromeda is that it was very obviously trying to stay disconnected from the scope of the trilogy. Even the single direct connection Andromeda has to the previous games are audio logs recorded a year before ME1.

The only logical place I could see an Andromeda reference, likely something about the Arks or pathfinder program, would be some kind of terminal entry during Shadow Broker, and it really wouldn't mean anything unless the Milky Way is going to contact Andromeda in ME4 eventually.

Has small drops at 4k with dynamic resolution scaling that VRR tvs can fix. If you don't have a VRR tv then you should give it a try anyways and see how much the small drops bother you. John believes more aggressive resolution scaling can solve the small drops. He's wondering if they will do another small patch.

I saw that but I’ve been playing the ray tracing mode on Series X and it runs great so far. Looks great too. Certainly not unplayable.

I actually liked Andromeda, despite it's flaws, and I hope they add something, even a minor acknowledgement (NPC dialogue while people are waiting in line on the Citadel, or something about ark construction funding). It doesn't have to be blatant, just some easter eggs. Resident Evil has done that with updated ports as more games get added to canon and I'd like to see it.

So did I. I'm playing through Insanity now, and I'm still taking my time to replay side quests and interact with other side characters or objects, just because of all of the other detail. I also immediately thought about Resident Evil for this, with the RE2 port all the way back to the Nintendo 64, where they added that minor reference to Resident Evil 0.

I still doubt they'll add stuff like that, but with them changing the lobby area and supposedly boss area on Noveria, I'm not completely skeptical of something minor. But I think it could actually be something like a poster or hologram in the environment. The problem with referencing Andromeda is that it was very obviously trying to stay disconnected from the scope of the trilogy. Even the single direct connection Andromeda has to the previous games are audio logs recorded a year before ME1.

The only logical place I could see an Andromeda reference, likely something about the Arks or pathfinder program, would be some kind of terminal entry during Shadow Broker, and it really wouldn't mean anything unless the Milky Way is going to contact Andromeda in ME4 eventually.

I was thinking about references like that. A minor hologram or datapad that could ideally be nothing too difficult to insert into a Citadel Area. No new dialog needed. The hologram could even be an ad like, "See you at Heleus in 600 years" with a beach and sunset art. Or a "Andromeda needs the best" and Gien Garson standing proudly in the poster. Even during the Reaper attack, datapad text could say something like, "I knew I should have gone to Heleus!"

These games work so hard on their details and references that I'd hope for a slight mention of it just to keep it in story.

I really want to like ME Andromeda but I have a hard time getting passed the cringey you're so special dialogue and dumb faces.  Think I need to give it another try after I finish Control.  Maybe install some mods and play it on PC.

I currently have $125 MS credit expiring April 27th and I have 70,000 points I can put towards a gift card or something else on the site. I am looking at the page now but I don't see anyway to view EVERY item that is available on the site to buy. I just bought a USB hub off Amazon and I see they have one here I could have gotten instead so is there a way to sort it so I see everything the site has to buy? I wanted to just get a Series X and then sell it locally at cost to get cash but I don't know if I will be able to do that before my credit expires. I see the 1TB extra storage is on the site but it's freaking $219. That is such a rip off. If I redeem the 70,000 bing points for a MS gift card, that won't expire correct? Is a MS gift card the best way to maximize the bing points?
