• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2026. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

So this rumor of a platform-wide modding system is now floating around. I think people are reading it wrong though. Seeing a lot of "enabled by Bethesda's Creation Engine" which doesn't really make sense, you wouldn't use a game engine to mod other games, or even as a wrapper other than maybe a launcher/interface in the way MCC now uses UE4 for it's menus.

If these rumors hold water I would guess it's a new Xbox level delivery platform modeled off what Bethesda.net does for Fallout 4 and Skyrim. Hopefully with a better back end, closer to how Steam Workshop works.

I'd recommend skipping Mudrunner and going straight to the much improved Snowrunner.

Mudrunner feels like an alpha test for Snowrunner; not necessarily bad, but very much incomplete.

Both are tough learning curves and slow starting simulation games but damn am I addicted to some Snowrunner. It's my go to "knock out a mission or two" game when I got a bit of extra time.

That said, if Mudrunner is a must play for you, do it before Snowrunner because I don't think it would be an easy step back.

I Mean Mass Effect 1 has the Mako. You can try and pretend updates will fix those hill driving segments, but I ain't that dumb to spend time and money climbing up hills for hours again looking for resources in that fragile ass thing.

Personally I played all three with DLC and beat them, but the fact that I know I'll be getting it in the future without having to pay extra is enough for me to sit my ass down and wait. I gave them enough money.

Truth. For people who don't already own it, even playing cheap used copies, to get the full experience with DLC would still cost an extra $30-50 minimum since at best, it goes on sale for 50% off for ME2 and 3. I was always mad the "trilogy" package did not include any DLC and no complete edition existed prior. It's the cheapest and best way to play those games now.

If you already played the trilogy or own it on multiplatform before, it is really hard to justify the additional $60 purchase when there isn't really anything new added to the experience.

Pretty sure you can get this for $20-$30 sometimes later this year and there is nothing wrong with that, this is CAG. Enjoy your game purchases and hopefully you get them as cheap as possible or the amount that you are willing to pay.

For me it was supporting them for even making the Mass Effect Trilogy remaster. I've played them all but never the DLCs so glad to check them out. Just playing through ME1 made me remember what great RPGs these are. Tried playing Call of the sea, really started to get into it but I can't continue past Chapter 2. It hard crashes my one x during a cutscene. Apparently, this is a known issue and still hasn't been fixed. Ugh.

I just got to chapter 4 with no issues on One X. I heard that someone got around the crashing cutscene by playing that part on another xbox, uploading the save to the cloud then re-syncing the save with your current Xbox. Not sure if that's a possibility for you. He used a launch model Xbox One but like I said it works fine on my One X.

Really enjoying the game so far, the story is really engaging but damn those puzzles are hard as balls. Reminds me of old school Myst and Riven games.

I got Maneater from PS+ but it's for PS5 owners only. I hate how Sony is trying to strong arm folks into buying the PS5, Not like people could buy a PS5 even if they wanted to. If you play on Series X, you get the Series X version. Why is this so hard for Sony to understand? Sony! Let's go team Xbox!

Well, I'm getting my first taste of Microsoft customer "service". A purchase I made on Microsoft Store earlier today failed with a generic transaction failed message. All of my Microsoft Balance was used up and my PayPal was charged for the remaining amount but the game wasn't added to my account. Microsoft support chat says there's no transaction in my history and they didn't charge me. They can't explain where my balance disappeared to. Anybody else have this issue before?

any issue will probably take 72 hours to work itself out. Microsoft went from "can take up to 72 hours" to pretty much always taking at least 72

something like that will probably auto-fix after 72 but I dunno for sure obviously just a guess

I read the Playstation, Steam, XBOX, and Nintendo deals threads once a day and this thread is always the most active with the most new posts each day. I always thought Playstation won the most recent console war with exclusives but this board makes it seem like XBOX is still more popular at least in the CAG community. I just recently got back into the XBOX community with the Series X so most of my recent experience has been Playstation up until now. Is it just that the Microsoft rewards system is the easiest to "game" into getting good "CAG" discounts? Is it that more people prefer XBOX for multiplayer? Has GamePass been responsible for a larger uptick in popularity? I own all the consoles and like to see competition since that benefits us all as consumers so don't take anything I said personally. I am just curious.

Well, cashed in a ton of Bing points for Mass Effect and Resident Evil. Resident Evil is totally worth it, great game and graphics with raytracing are amazing. Still not sure about Mass Effect, I mean it’s a good remaster but I don’t know if it’s full price good

I had to double check if I was actually sprinting because I couldn't tell a difference haha! Make sure you crank up the camera sensitivity and turn off the head bobbing. Not sure about the camera smoothing but I turned that off too.

I just got to chapter 4 with no issues on One X. I heard that someone got around the crashing cutscene by playing that part on another xbox, uploading the save to the cloud then re-syncing the save with your current Xbox. Not sure if that's a possibility for you. He used a launch model Xbox One but like I said it works fine on my One X.

Really enjoying the game so far, the story is really engaging but damn those puzzles are hard as balls. Reminds me of old school Myst and Riven games.

I got Maneater from PS+ but it's for PS5 owners only. I hate how Sony is trying to strong arm folks into buying the PS5, Not like people could buy a PS5 even if they wanted to. While MS is being inclusive with their games. Play the games that you want on the console that you want. If you play on Xbox, you get the Xbox version. If you play on Series X, you get the Series X version. Why is this so hard for Sony to understand? Sony! Let's go team Xbox!

Glad you weren't afflicted by the glitch. I read that solution in the TA forums, but unfortunately that's not a possibility for me. I may try to redownload and see if it still does it.
