• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
• On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold. Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2025. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

I never got around to playing Darksiders III or Yooka-Layee when they were on Game Pass, so decent month for me.

Set expectations to low on Yooka-Layee then set them even lower. It feels dated like an N64 era platformer, but without the fun level design or gameplay. Also I don't know why, but every time the characters talk I wanted to hold my breath and bang my head against the wall.

Not much new info, here is my short list:

• Still looking at the possibility of FPS Boost on 360 and Xbox Original games
• Some FPS boosted games may get an option to re-enable One X enhancements (good for vrr tvs?)
• Rumors of A.I. resolution increasing tech, nothing to share yet

Details on Fatal Frame. New content is a diorama photo mode along with new costumes. Barely can see said costumes so can't really tell what they went for as far as replacing the original coomer Japan-exclusives or the Western Zelda and Samus outfits. The Japan exclusives might even be back because it says there are three swimsuits.

Preorder bonus costume is Atelier Ryza.

Deluxe edition includes costumes from previous games.

Details on Fatal Frame. New content is a diorama photo mode along with new costumes. Barely can see said costumes so can't really tell what they went for as far as replacing the original coomer Japan-exclusives or the Western Zelda and Samus outfits. The Japan exclusives might even be back because it says there are three swimsuits.
Preorder bonus costume is Atelier Ryza.
Deluxe edition includes costumes from previous games.

I'm still hoping the Fatal Frame series gets an upgrade. Two of the scariest games I've ever played. I was hoping the third would get ported to Xbox but it never did. I believe there was also one for one of the  Nintendo consoles. 

There's a new Punch Card for MS Rewards On-line for 100 pts - XBox Game Pass for PC. There are 5 things to click and you don't have to wait the usual 24 hours to complete each one from the one before it. FYI - it didn't add the 100 points to my total so you may want to wait a few days to do this.

Set expectations to low on Yooka-Layee then set them even lower. It feels dated like an N64 era platformer, but without the fun level design or gameplay. Also I don't know why, but every time the characters talk I wanted to hold my breath and bang my head against the wall.

Other than that, not a bad platformer. Was close to 1000gs before it left game pass. At least now I'll finally be able to complete it.

She is a lot more open minded than 90% of the other characters in the game. A lot of aliens are space racist in the game. Humans came out of nowhere and got to the top in 25 years. Not to mention the big war that happened when humans first went to space. At least with maleshep she changes a lot in the games. Kaiden with maleshep has like 3 things to say on the ship.

Agree to disagree, I guess. Her entire personalty rubs me the wrong way, and I don't really remember that improving much over the 3 games with my maleshep.

Yes, Halo MCC had a massive patch (something like 60gb) to upgrade it to be enhanced for series X, and I was able to launch it from the external without issue.

I was not reading the bing rewards questions like every day, now it seems I'll lose my streak because it won't check off for missing all 4. That's fun.

That flight Simulator tutorial video truly helped so thank you for whoever posted that. Was able to see Christ the Redeemer and fly my plane back to the airport and land it successfully.

I’ve downloaded all of the world packs and the premium content and I’m still seeing major highways and interstates look like dirt roads.

Either way still a breathtaking and amazing game, no regrets on this one.

The worst thing so far has been trying to figure out how to invert y axis. Got it sorted via multiple Bing searches but basically have to remap the buttons yourself (for each view) in order to do so. A simple check box would have been preferred.

That never worked for me. During it, it said I had all correct but once I got back to the dashboard it showed I got wrong answers and I missed out on the points, so I answer it correctly now.

The one negative I’d give it is that the camera movement or frame rate is not smooth, which is just enough to put a little bit of a damper on the experience. I’d say it’s still worth a look for sure though!

Setup remote play on your Xbox with the Xbox (NOT Game Pass) app. then you can boot it remotely and stream your console to your phone or tablet, allowing you to open the app. Assuming it works of course, and doesn't have issues finding your console. It couldn't find mine half the time on the same network last I tried it, though my tablet is ancient and running a custom ROM.

I was on vacation last week and had to prepare to not lose my streak on console. I set up remote play with both my series x and my son's and tested it couple times the week before leaving just using my phone's internet to make sure it would work right without being in the same network at home. I have a Razer Kishi and also took a xbox controller that I had already sync with my phone. Happy to say it worked great, I connected to my Series X every other day and checked the app without issue.
To prepare download the Xbox app (not the same as the gamepass app) and set it up from there. Make sure you have Instant On for power option. Take a controller with you cause you cannot use On screen controls with remote play. Test it before leaving several times at different locations.
