• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
• On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold. Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2025. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

From what I’ve read, I could have missed something, but the issue lays with Blizzard and not Activision. Not only is there the problems with Blizzard but they’ve also got the remaster of Diablo 2 coming out soon. If this was their decision, i don’t think it matters what game they gave out. It would still look like a total PR move regardless.

I’d agree with you if it had been listed under Free Play Days and those usually pop up on Thursday or Friday, not a Sunday. If this came out like regular Free Play Days, i can’t imagine how it wouldn’t have been noticed sooner. I’d assume you’d get to keep it as long as you have Gold.

Mine took 6 hours, but now the issue is the way they send you the code is with an account login. Not worth all this hassle in my opinion…

GameFlip all depends on the seller. Some send the codes instantly. Some send in a day. It says right in the listing itself.

Codes are always sent directly on GameFlip so you just have to log into your account. Not sure why that’s a big deal. It’s all very easy IMO. Haven’t had problems and have gotten some cheap stuff there (both US and Argentine).

I did start Darksiders Genesis and it was good. I am not sure if I speed back to it or not. Good chance it comes to Gold now that Darksiders III just did. Otherwise, I can pick it back up cheap later.

Finished Death's Door with 100%, awesome game.

Playing the Ascent right now, and I'm really liking it so far, but I understand how people can be disappointed. The graphics and atmosphere set you up for something more filled out and lived in. Once you play, those aspects can feel a bit empty. However, getting over that first impression leaves a pretty satisfying action RPG.

People hate on Andromeda, but I loved it. The combat was great and I like the character banter system used in it and Dragon Age 3.

It was noticed days ago, Wario64 tweeted it so everybody and their mother already knew about it. I'm honestly surprised it took this thread so long to notice, I know I'm not the only one who follows him, I see his tweets here often enough. Someone back then said when they deleted it, it did NOT show up in their GWG list.

I love how many of the individual stories are wrapped up (Krogans, Geth, etc) and so the ending of the story is multiple endings before the final mission / story wrap. Compared to the final mission in ME2 where it's all hands on deck, the final story missions in ME3 (no spoilers) feel lackluster in comparison. Even if they left the final plot points in tact, I wish there was more to the lead-up to it. The Citadel DLC does address some of this, yeah, but still.

Playing it in 2021, I do think the Leviathan and Citadel DLC adds a ton to the overall story and lore, and it's hard to imagine them not being included by default now. Same with From Ashes (Javik's DLC), that right there is the pinnacle of EA's greed in the 360 era.

Respectful disagree, but they're all great games. ME2 remains my favorite, the character building and sense of mystery / urgency keeps things interesting even after playing it multiple times. The most dated the games feel to me is in the animations, motion capture is so common place now that every time I watch Shepard run with her arms out like a cartoon character, it's exposing the man behind the curtain. I'm glad we have the LE though to preserve them in one package.

And I knew Andromeda would not match up to the trilogy and I was perfectly happy with what I played.

ME2 is one of the greatest games ever...except the boss was “meh.” I thought all the side quests, especially with the companions were excellent and provided character development. 1 and 3 are good but I played 2 more multiple times than the combined multiple times I played the others two. Andromeda had so much potential and it wasn’t bad but the characters were so bland. The idea of a pathfinder was brilliant but I doubt they’ll go back to that after the reception the game got.

There’s plenty of codes that are US and worldwide too that don’t need a VPN. For those it’s no different than using the trading forum here. It’s user based like eBay. Or a better analogy would be Raise. (They also sell gift cards on GameFlip)

So how rough is the Bioshock Collection on Xbone X? Is it any better on Series X?

I played the first two on the One S and had no issues, they are an excellent remaster. The One X 4k update introduced a weird stutter that could be disabled by going offline, but this thread suggests suggests that has since been fixed, and one person in there reports the Series X doesn't have the issue either.

I tend to think of this collection as the gold standard for a remaster, it preserves the original games in their gameplay (including the crappy save system) and updates the visuals without altering the original art.

But if you play with Vita Chambers enabled, you're a chump!
