• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
• On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold. Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2025. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

Curse of the Dead Gods is excellent. Hades is better overall because of the story but don’t sleep on Dead Gods. Combat is a blast in it.

It was my impulse buy price, and I want to show support for those kinds of games on Xbox, so I'm fine with it. I already own 2 copies on Switch (digital and physical) so I did it to myself. I'm going to assume the GP addition is in recognition of all the music blogs raving about Limp Bizkit's set at Lollapalooza so we can all keep rollin rollin rollin

The One X 4k update introduced a weird stutter that could be disabled by going offline, but this thread suggests suggests that has since been fixed, and one person in there reports the Series X doesn't have the issue either.

Yeah, I remember the stuttering complaints and a number of posts here about how it wasn't fixed but wasn't sure if anything changed between now and then. I have the 360 BC versions of the games (on disc) so I wasn't sure if it was worth upgrading or not given those issues.

Damn. You got some nice deals there. I probably should have gotten Death’s Door there with how dirt cheap it is.

But don’t regret preordering it. Devs deserve every cent. It’ll likely be in my Top 5 games of all time.

I recently played through the remastered games on Series X, and I didn't notice the stutter from the DF video. Don't know if it's fixed now, or I just couldn't tell.

The BC games on One X/Series X are actually not bad. They run at 60 fps if you unlock the framerate in the menus, some of the rare 360 games that had that option.

The silk look is kind of meh, but I love those rubberized grips. The Forza Xbox One controller was one of my faves because of those grips.

I bought a Death's Door code from Argentina on Gameflip, can anybody help me out in instructing me how to install and download the game on my US Xbox account?

I've read that i can use a VPN, but what VPN do you recommend? If it has a free trial even better because i wouldn't have much use for it otherwise.

Gears 5 Operation 8 released earlier with new achievements.  There was supposed to be a gap between when the download became available and when the backend servers updated.  Was going to try to start the game during that window to see if the achievement for reaching Legend 25 in an Operation would pop.  I see it's popped for others, including Antarael Dulacre, and is currently worth 51k on TA.  Forgot to try earlier (damn job), and the game currently doesn't load for me.  Just cycling on the loading screen.  I see a thread on the official forums that some accounts are getting stuck upon start up and progress is reset, though the backend servers this have the progress.  I see 4 people on TA have also already unlocked Seriously 5.0 Chapter 2, though that's supposed to require 2 maps that haven't released yet.  Hurray for testing!

The update also hasn't shown up on PC yet, at least for me.

So despite owning a bunch of paid Forza 7 DLC for a while now and being a Game Pass subscriber, I didn't get a code for Forza 7. I assume this is because it had been in my backlog until the day of the announcement or they don't count redeemed Ultimate DLC codes and freebie claims as purchases.

Well, I grabbed a Series S from Target on a whim.  It's going to be my Forza Horizon 5 box.  I'll get a Series X someday, but I don't have a 4K TV yet so no rush (my Panasonic Plasma refuses to die).  I'll still have my One X hooked up (for games that are One X enhanced but not Series enhanced, like Dragon Quest 11), so the 360 is getting bumped off the A/V tower of consoles.

There is the Forza 6 controller and the Forza 911GT leather wrapped elite controller, but maybe we are due for another.

That Sea of Thieves controller is pretty awesome though, with the glow in the dark skull.

Just from the trailers, the gameplay(except the parkour) looks similar to Far Cry. I’m not much of a zombie game fan though State of Decay and Dead Rising are fun. Anyone have any input or recommendations about it? Thanks.

Well... have you ever played the original first Dead Island and Dead Island Riptide? Which I think are great fun "B" games, even more so co-op. It's totally convoluted, but even though "supposedly" a Dead Island 2 exists somewhere, the team that made the Dead Island 1 made Dying Light. So it's kind of the "real" Dead Island 2. There is definitely a FPS open world "Far Cry" vibe to the games.

I did play some of Dead Island but not enough to say it was good or bad. From what I played It felt clunky but the game itself felt like a solid starting ground for a more polished and streamlined game. Sorta how AC 1 was for AC 2 or ME 1 for ME2.

I loved dying light and the expansion DLC. But I did play about 50% of it in co-op, which I think enhances it when dealing with the tougher zombies. But I enjoyed my solo sessions too. I wouldn’t go into it treating it like a shooter. There are guns, but they aren’t plentiful at first, and honestly the makeshift melee weapons are much more fun. The parkour takes a little getting used to, but it lets you get a tactical advantage on human enemies with guns, or let’s you get out of danger quickly. I’d say go for it, and if you don’t have anyone to co-op with I’m sure anyone on this thread including myself could join you. I need to dust off my skills to prep for dying light 2.
