General info
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
    On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold. Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

What is this?
Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :
  1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
  2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
  3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2025. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
  4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
  5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.
The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

It's more so there's nothing about Saints Row that holds ground to it being ruined by "Woke Culture" or being too offensive that they had to change it. A single episode of Family Guy is legit more offensive than all five games of Saints Row combined because the game is the most juvenile of humor. Never does it aim at a particular race or sexual orientation and mock it. Hell, by the fourth game your character is basically bisexual and has fucked everyone on the crew for an achievement.

To be fair, I also did that in GTA San Andreas. Love Saints Row though, new one looks fine to me.
 
Problem is, two of the key voice actors from SR 3 and 4 have since passed on.

I just picked up my $10 copy of Cyberpunk, I really don’t have a desire to play it yet but at $10 I thought that steel book was a good deal.

I was having issues with it working consistently, it would work some days and not others. Found out that if you use AdGuard or some other ad blocker on your phone it can cause it to randomly not register. Since finding this out, I disable the ad blocker, load the game pass app and it has worked 100% of the time since.

It is a time suck, but in a good way. Like anything, it's best played with a friend but if you're soloing it can still be really relaxing and fun to sail around from island to island. I would suggest going to the dock of any town and looking for the quest merchant that wants you to deliver animals. Those quests take you to one island to collect something and take it to another island. They're really easy so you can just zone out and enjoy a nice little sail while playing some sea shanties.

If you have a friend, challenge them to drink a bunch of grog and try to walk to the end of the bow. If they look like they might make it, shoot at their feet!


I haven't played in like a year, so stuff may have changed and there may be new stuff to do solo or it might be easier to tag along with another group for something big and exciting. I dunno, I just liked putzing around and sailing my own little boat across the ocean.

It's been awhile for me but I remember I used the Enforcer. It's bullets home in onto the enemy so you can basically keep the spider boss off screen and it will still hit him. If you have the augment that spawns a robot you can have it tank for you a bit. You can also "hack" those eggs which will keep them from hatching. But really I just used the Enforcer and I beat it first try even un-upgraded. Good luck!

Thanks for your guidance! I upgraded my E77 to a Mk 4, it took 2 tries but I was able to kill the megarcanoid boss. Got an achievement too! Many thanks.

Luckily my Best Buy had someone intelligent enough that they just put a tiny corner of the pick up sticker on the steel book and not that whole huge sticker, mine came off pretty easy.

My Best Buy had one that was hard to remove, but a little bit of Goo Gone did the trick.

 
It’s not a great game by any stretch, but I’m actually finding Aliens Fireteam Elite pretty fun. A shame matchmaking doesn’t work for shit. Not getting errors anymore but it still doesn’t find matches. Been having to play with bots. Only thing they’re good for is revives.

Not sure how it shows up on mobile, on PC it had the option to text or email the offer. Then when I clicked it from the email it said it applied successfully.

Its supposed to be for first time app users but a lot of ineligible people are saying its working for them.

 
FYI, if you need a cheevo for the 250 point Forza one, I have never played Forza 7 and one popped as soon as I launched the game in xCloud...I ended up with like 3 more just playing the 3 intro races to start the game. It was surprising playable streaming, much better than the FH4 streaming experience I had a good while back

Hit up MS support today to check in on what's going on with those Forza 7 codes. They said I was on a list of people who were going to receive codes "eventually", but the support agent went the extra mile, assigned himself the case and is going to just get the game directly redeemed on my account (which he said is a quicker process). So at the very least, there's a list of people meant to get codes (it is just apparently a very slow process to get free codes), and we'll see how quickly getting it redeemed directly will be. Worst case scenario, I'll just cough up the $10 on the last day.

These are the same two I am eyeing from this sale but I know the chances of me getting to them anytime soon is slim - do I pass and see if these prices drop more in a couple of months? What are the chances RAD hits GWG at some point, doesn't Microsoft own that one now?

 
Got in on the Amazon thing. Bought cat food yesterday and today will be the cacodemon figure.

Panzer Dragoon slightly tempting, is it that much of an improvement on the original version? I still have my Orta disc.
 
Had no issues with the first Amazon coupon but it’s been well over 24 hours (around 36) and haven’t been able to get the second one to work.
 
Started Psychonauts 2 last night, partially motivated by the Rewards card. It's really charming and feels like I'm playing a Pixar movie with a Nightmare Before Christmas art style. The story and gameplay also flows really well and it's easy to just keep playing for a few hours. I'll probably stick with it.

Also finished Boyfriend Dungeon, what a charming silly game that actually deals with some pretty heavy topics. There's one achievement which is infuriating, but I booted it up yesterday on my lunch break and managed to get it in one go. You'll know it when you see it.
