• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
• On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold. Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2025. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

Is it disc or digital? I just recently beat Far Cry 5 disc version and it installed with no problems. I did however have a problem with the disc version of Iron Man for psvr. It would not install no matter how many times I tried so I took it back and got another copy and it worked fine.

Dracula X seems like a weird choice, but thinking about it I guess it's about the only 2D game that makes sense if they arbitrarily want a fourth game. All the oldest games are in the first collection, Rondo of Blood and SotN somehow got trapped as PS4 exclusives (minus XBLA that we have), and it seems obvious now that the DS games are being held for a final(?) collection.

After DS I don't see any other collections happening. The N64 and PS2 games wouldn't sell. Maybe a remaster or the Lords of Shadow games I guess.

If Konami moves beyond the obvious games for collections (MGS, Silent Hill, Contra) I'd like to see a collection of the three N64 Bomberman games.

I'm just glad that if they are doing these collections, they are throwing in some bonus / more obscure games. I'm still disappointed that the Mega Man X Collections didn't include Command Mission since they were already emulating PS2 for the second volume.

If they did a 3D collection with some ported / up-rezzed Lords of Shadow games, maybe the PS2 and N64 games could be thrown in for shits and giggles, but I agree they wouldn't be selling points beyond the used market being taken down a notch.

In a way, that's what this is. Both consoles launched at a time when the majority of retailers were like "Nope. We're just gonna list it online and ship it to you. We can do our normal daily operations just fine but we don't need to create an event where people need to be near each other in our stores."

For a lot of people, this is their first chance to have a decent opportunity to get the console where the only other contestants are other humans instead of also fighting bots, so they're even more emotionally invested in it than they woud be on a true Day 1.

I am trying to play some far cry 5 but it doesn’t seem to want to load. I’ve been stuck on a loading screen with what looks like mannequins in sheriffs outfits for a super long time. Quit out the game and it happened again. I don’t really want to uninstall and reinstall

Looking forward to another Castlevania collection though i am disappointed that it wont include Rondo of Blood of SOTN.  Got my hopes up for a second when it said Dracula X since the Japanese versions were included in the first collection and thought maybe that was the way we would get Rondo but turns out there is a version of X that was released in Japan called double X.  So yeah still going to get it but 4 games still seems like a small collection compared to the last and definitely missing the most notable title in the series in Symphony.  I just wanted to play it on my switch or PC.

Feels like a bad idea, but I guess this is bound to happen as I don't see Christmas shopping being held back much at this point. There will be probably at least 2 or 3 more big console shipments minimum. I would say more but I assume the shortage means it's not the same as my retail days during early Switch, the Nintendo Classic consoles, and Amiibo shitshow.

Most games now are pretty much the same, but that era the Aladdin games were on were so varied with their ports and incarnations of games. The Lion King on Genesis is much better than the SNES version but I appreciate the difference in the soundtracks between the titles (the snes version's terrible controls, not so much).

I played it a little. It's as fun as I remember D2 being. I tried to start an online character, but the servers were having issues so I created an offline character. I completed the first quest and had fun. Relearning how to play since it has been a while since I played D2.

It's a no brainer purchase if you like D2 in my opinion.

I’m level 21 sorceress in act 2, just been playing mostly alone cuz matchmaking is pretty sucky but the game is fun.

I got to level 8 from 8-8:45am then servers were down for a couple hours then I got thru act 1 until 1pm when servers went down again, and now I did the first half of act 2 this afternoon, I’ll prob be on again late tonight.

Possibly but my first though was "Wow. The Initiative must be in bad shape." Tbf, the studio head was formerly the head of Crystal Dynamics, so it makes sense that's be the first place they'd reach out to.

Dev already confirmed that PS5 version is only a timed console exclusive. I have no doubt that it will be on Xbox at some point.

It's not that big a deal if we miss KotOR HD. It's basically only widescreen and an upscaled HUD that we're missing out on if it's basically the PC upgrade like the other games. Technically Xbox should be higher resolution even.

Probably was offer a lot of money since other internal studios are busy helping 343 industries or working on their own project. Does not make sense to let another external company to have a stake in your margin if everything is going smooth.

Rise of the Tomb Raider was a year exclusive because MS threw money at them.  There is a bit of a relationship there.  The tweet says the game is still in early development, so it could be anything.  Battlefield 2042 has like 5 studios working on it.  I think MS is trying to keep all their studios working on their own games and an external studio means help isn't holding back any other MS exclusives.
