• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
• On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold. Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2025. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

Xbox apps question: I use both the xbox and gamepass apps - why do we have two?

Ex. I want to install a game, I use the gamepass app for gamepass games but the xbox app if it's in my library...

I saw the FAR game is going to be on GP 3/1 in the gamepass app so I thought I should try to play the old one I picked up on sale a while back but had to do so from the xbox app....am I doing this right or have I missed something?

I've loaded into Dares solo before. Try closing the game and re-launching it. Also, you might just be the only person in your region at your Power Level trying to queue up, so that could be the issue.

Ex. I want to install a game, I use the gamepass app for gamepass games but the xbox app if it's in my library...

I saw the FAR game is going to be on GP 3/1 in the gamepass app so I thought I should try to play the old one I picked up on sale a while back but had to do so from the xbox app....am I doing this right or have I missed something?

You're doing it as right much as you can. I suspect eventually they'll merge the two apps, but until then, it's stupid. Don't forget there is also Beta apps for both too. I should uninstall those, I never use them now.

That's exactly how it's supposed to work. The two apps serve different functions.

The Game Pass app is for all things Game Pass related + cloud gaming.

If you want to see everything that is not related to Game Pass, then that would be in the Xbox app.

I think eventually they could merge the apps but it could be messy. I suppose that might change when they can let you cloud stream games that you own but are not on Game Pass.

Yikes. IDK about diehard car fans but this seems like an incredible miss to me. Absolutely nothing begging me to come back and play. I did hear this week's challenges were particularly bad; something about forced PvP and needing to win. They love ing over people trying for the monthly achievement huh?

The biggest FU is this stupid daily challenge. Last one I need for an achievement. 4 weeks of not missing a daily, weekly or monthly challenge. Its Chaos Forza event. So either random or once an hour or some nonsense. They could have activated this days ago give people a chance for it to come up. Spent 45 mins before dinner and another 15 so far waiting for this stupid event.

I will probably cut back for a bit on FH5. Until the next DLC at least. Want to play something else and honestly grinding out 100 points for a car I likely will never use. We will see I guess.

Eneloop I've had for ten years now and still going strong, the IKEA brand are also the same batteries as Eneloop just different brand, but don't order online from IKEA. Although not exactly episodic it is telling that the first Dark Pictures Anthology game came and went from GP with no hint of the second or third games coming. I guess it didn't get much engagement.

I thought the second episode would be on Game Pass by now. It's supposed to be weak, but the third is supposedly their best stuff since Until Dawn. They also just trademarked the titles for 6 more episodes beyond the upcoming The Devil in Me.

I tried last week because I love horror games, but stopped halfway through because of the plot.

if you like diablo it more the same not in a bad way, i only played base game own that on PC it well done, quest where ok, i got lost mid way in base game around canyon area when exploring since when you do a quest the ! markers disappear so i was doing lot wandering got bored, the second dlc crucible was to address people want a easy way to level classes or just kill, like D3 rifts. not sure details as i never bought it, the other expacs may improve the game even more but again i stop with base game.

anyone who played or owns it say good things, i was just want for a cheap sell $15 price or gampass before i bought the definitive edition on xbox

So I have done 6 straight weeks of 100% completion.   At least it unlocked last night.

I noticed on true achievements two interesting things with regards to the Min, Meet Max achievement that maybe will help those still working on it. 

Seems yesterday series 3 challenge (Forza Event Chaos completion) is good for a week?   I assumed when a new series (4) started the previous (3) ended?    

Also seems for Series 1 and 2 PG is looking to unlock this achievement retroactively if someone missed a bugged challenge but completed the rest in Series 1 or 2.

Stranger's Wrath HD is finally coming to Xbone on Feb 11th. I imagine Munch HD is coming within the year as well given both hit Switch in 2020, but that would make the addition of the original Munch to Xbox BC odd. It does look like the original was co-published by Xbox and Infogrames (Atari) whereas the original Stranger's Wrath (which is not BC) was published by EA, so maybe it was just easy enough to get the rights sorted out for Munch for it to be worth it.

I found my 57th area last night driving around killing time until the next Forza event. I guess I am still missing one (you have 58).

I was doing a bunch of Arcade events last night waiting for a Chaos one to appear. I think I got an extra count on the Mexico festival and something near the pyramid drag strip. I think they registered during the events, so that may be related. Since Chaos didn't show up until the 4th or 5th, I figured I'd try to go for the 10 in 5 hours, but the chain was somehow broken after the 6th one.

Do the seasonal championships in the order Road, Dirt, Cross Country. You'll also clear the weekly challenge without needing to do any extra races.

Road - No problems with the 1961 Jaguar E-Type.

Dirt / Cross Country - Used the 1986 Lamborghini LM 002 for both. Might not have been the best choice. Deserto Trail wasn't a problem, but had to restart the other trail race a few times to get a win. The Scramble wasn't a problem. Airfield Cross Country Circuit wasn't a problem, but needed a number of tries on the Tropico route. Had to do Las Ranas twice because the first time I was overtaken right at the end (didn't get onto the macadam road after the final jump quickly enough). I've kind of gotten the impression that if you don't win a race and choose to restart it, the drivatars take it a little easier on you the next time around (or the 3rd or 4th). After I cleared the road races and the first dirt one, the game offered to bump the difficulty from Expert to Pro, but I passed. Some of the races in that Lambo might've been even worse. Or I could've switched to another car.

Trial - Street Scene in the rain can be a bit problematic. First time I tried the 1991 BMW M3. Went wide on some turns, missed a checkpoint, was way behind in the first race and quit out to give the team a better chance. Second attempt I used the 2013 Renault Clio, which went better. Team won the first 2 races and I finished 4th both times behind 2 people and 1 drivatar. Gave it another try with the Clio. Came in second in the first race behind a drivatar, won the second race. Team won the event in 2 races.

Photo - I fast traveled to the dirt road just to the right of the Tierra Prospera name on the map and it worked.

Event Lab - Used the 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR. I didn't have a problem. Because of the vertical set up, you may get pop ups to rewind or turn around. Just keep moving ahead following the arrows.

Showcase Remix - I nipped the monster trucks right at the end in what may be a scripted event.

No PR stunts, Arcade, Eliminator or Tour challenges. Have everything for the week completed except the games and the upcoming dailies.

I thought Mortal Shell Enhanced Edition came with the Virtuous Cycle DLC and only just realized it didn't. But somehow when I open the DLC page on the xbox store it says I own it even though I don't see it in my purchase history and have no memory of ever buying it. Weird!

If you want to continue accessing your content on your console #2 the same way as your console #1, all you have to do is add your account to that console and start downloading your games. You don't have to do anything special. You just won't be able to play games on both of your consoles with your account at the same time.

As long as you're only signed in on only one Xbox at a time, it still works. I don't believe there's actually any limit to how many places you're logged into at the same time, as long as only one console has a game open.
