• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2025. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

The main reason to get Bungie would be to have them get Halo back on track. That ship has obviously sailed.

I wouldn't be surprised if they still want Sega but are waiting for the Blizzard deal to close. They need a Japanese company if they ever want to get their foot in the door in Japan. Persona, Yakuza and Sonic would achieve that.

I Honestly like SEGA where they are now. Like these days it feels like the worst they can do is release a bad Sonic game or bad Sonic port (we're not going to go into the weird Chinese mobile games), but besides that with RGG studios, Atlus and them licensing out their properties to random studios I almost think if Microsoft were to acquire them it would hinder the process in someway. That and they're already a mainstay of Game Pass.

I totally didn't mean to have people dump on Nier with what I posted. I just was mentioning my short time with it so far not clicking with me. I don't think it's the weird Japanesiness of it (I've been a Metal Gear fan since the NES days), it just hasn't clicked for me yet. Sometimes it takes a while for me - I'll play it in chunks and maybe it'll hook me, maybe it won't.

Speaking of Metal Gear, I finally installed Peacewalker off the disc set I have and started creeping my way through it. It took a while to get back into the groove but I do like the small mission setup. It's perfect for an adult gamer with infrequent gaming times.

I also started Souldiers. Fantastic metroidvania even if the map sizes are just... daunting. It definitely scratches that itch. Well worth a few dollars if you go to Argentina.

In regards to the back and forth with the exclusivity ABK FTC stuff, XBox gamers get ragged on for complaining about Sony exclusives but I think that's a superficial take. If there weren't exclusives then there wouldn't be a need for different consoles to exist. It would just be a spec pissing contest and we know that. Our problem is when a major series that has been cross platform (or could very easily made to be cross platform) is made a permanent exclusive on the PS, and any other system besides Xbox, for no obvious reason other than money changing hands. Who knows though? Maybe a few years down the road a FF7R or FF16 Definitive Edition maybe end up on a MS system like we're hopefully going to see with MGS4.

Just a couple more days until AEW Fight Forever hits! I'm so jazzed. I took a break from wrestling games after 2k19 and I am thoroughly ready to relive my teenage years of fantasy GM mode kept in a notebook!

I own a disc copy on PS4 that I bought at GameStop way back when. I have tried playing it many times, but the "loop" nature of the game got frustrating very quickly. For that reason, I still haven't finished the game.

You need to download them and play them to the very, very end. Then delete them, redownload and play them again. Repeat six times and then we’ll know it works.

I've been playing through the Halo MCC on Series X and noticed Halo 2 Anniversary has some frame drops in the campaign. I've played it on PC and Xbox One and it never had those drops. Must be an optimization issue.

I'm going to slow down a bit now because I've been doing side stuff to level up for the main story. Back when I first got the game in Feb 2022, I thought everything was quite overwhelming and I just didn't want to play it. Lots of analysis paralysis with the perks/attributes stuff and learning the systems but I'm glad I was able to get past that. Incredible game so far. Looking forward to playing to the end so I can finally watch Edgerunners (I cancelled my Netflix sub back in October 2022 shortly after the price hike so I'd have to resub for a month to check it out)

The gameplay revamp (including for the base game) is exactly why I'm trying to play through the game before it drops, so I can experience experience the classic gameplay in case it goes away. Actually, I don't think the new gameplay changes are going to be a toggle though or at least I haven't read/watched anything like that so I highly doubt it's going to stick around. It would be REALLY strange if they kept two different systems in between the base game and DLC.

You stopped at a really good point (also where I stopped in December 2022) because that's basically when the game opens up a lot more and also where you need to be if you wanted to jump into Phantom Liberty with little downtime. I haven't "really" played Witcher 3 yet so I was quite unprepared for how open this game was going to be (played 1 and 2 and the early part of 3 just to test drive my rig). For now I think it's all about trying to balance drip feeding the game so I don't burn out but also try to finish it before the DLC comes out in 3 months...because I got other Game Pass games I gotta FOMO before they leave the service!

I think they've fixed it, or at least part of the problem. I was having the problem with "Deals with Gold" asking me to buy Xbox Live Gold, have GPU already. I checked on the console and the website, and it's showing the sale price correctly now.

I can say with 100% certainty, that they have NOT fixed it. I still have not been able to claim Adios or The Vale and I missed out on Hoa from the previous month because mine has been broken for over a month now. I have talked to 6 different worthless (obviously outsourced to India) Xbox tech support people, and none have been able to help me. Supposedly they even escalated my case to the top tier of tech support and then a week went by and they sent me an email saying my case was closed and yet, its still broken, so the latest thing I did was send them a video of the issue and I am waiting for another response.

Yeah, just reading summaries of it they didn’t mention the MS lawyer. But just read one person’s tweeting of every single thing from the trial and saw that. I guess the trial only showed some of the Ryan video and not all of it. But from what they did show, it didn’t seem like MS went particularly hard on him. Hardly anything on their exclusivity contracts (unless that part is sealed).

Kind of disappointing. I wanted some dirt on Sony aired. I speak as someone who is playing FF 16 atm lol, but I still think they are doing more to hurt competitiveness that should be relevant to the deal. Draw some Sony blood!

You put it better than I did. There’s too many options on how to build your character with no clear idea of how that will work out. I looked at builds and guides online and it’s still overwhelming with that as a resource. They do a decent job of explaining the game mechanics at first then just drop you into the deep end. Witcher 3 is probably just as open but differently. The build and gear customization is much easier to understand. Cyberpunk’s skill tress are massive, complex and intimidating. So much so that it pushes me away from wanting to play. I hadn’t met Panam. Last thing I was doing was investing a club after the stuff with Johnny being in your head started. I liked it at first but when I got to where I left it, it was more exhausting than enjoyable.

Cyberpunk has skill trees? Jk, but seriously I didn't put much thought into them when I did my playthrough. I didn't even use stealth after awhile because there's no point. Just run and gunned my way through the story.
