• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
• On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold. Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2025. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

If you go into the menu screen. Click on your mission tab which is the bottom screen. Open what quest you want and select it m. Make sure it has a blue mark next to it. Go back to normal mode and use your lb button to open your scanner there will be arrows that walk you right to the item or person on your quest

You may have just saved my interest in this game. Gonna have to try that. I spent two hours in futility on the quest in question, able to see my target but unable to figure out how to reach it. Thank you!

Having not started the outpost things I can't directly empathize with the NG+ issue. I don't think I'll have a problem, if it's that good the first time I think I'll be able to at least do it as good considering they thought about it in the design process.

Played about 2 hours of Starfield, mainly on my 5800X/3060 Ti.

I barely got to New Atlantis and stopped short of meeting with Constellation. I like what I've played so far even though I haven't been introduced to all the systems. Lockpicking is NOT bad and quite fun actually.

My time with the game was mostly to test drive my rig while playing at 1440p Medium presets. I also checked out the DLSS mod and it's amazing how much better the image quality is compared to FSR2. Also played a little on Series S and it actually plays quite well to my surprise!

For now, I'm going to put it away and revisit it at least two years out.

How is your frame rate? I've got a similar set up, 5800x/3070, wondering what to expect.

The 1000 thing was what confused me. Thought you were referring to a different game. I played it today and got 500 like I always have. I Didn't realize it was random. I don't have the app. Maybe I should download it.

Interiors are a smooth 60FPS. However, New Atlantis dips down to about 50 or so FPS. I wasn't really paying attention to the framerate on the first planet you go to before New Atlantis. Also because I'm using the DLSS mod set the 75% resolution scaling, I'm not sure there is actually any dynamic resolution scaling but rather just a way to configure the DLSS setting (since I'm not getting 60FPS all the time).

I'm waiting for Digital Foundry's PC analysis (and optimized settings) before I go back for another performance test run and dropping the game after.

Keep in mind this is Bethesda and despite the claims it's the least buggy launch of a modern Bethesda title, it's still full of bugs. 20% of the time the line just doesn't show up for me, and yesterday more than once it took me to a railing it wanted me to climb over instead of following the corridor. I couldn't climb over the railing because the ceiling was too low, so I spend another 8 minutes running around the maze of a ship I was on until I found the correct damn path, only to have the problem happen again the next damn visit. Also you're assuming the marker is actually taking you to the right location, I've had almost half a dozen now try to take me to a completely different system than where my mission actually was.

I was kinda hoping that I could link my various digital libraries (Xbox, PS, GOG, Steam, whatnot) to auto-populate the collections but I don't think it can do that. Still, a neat concept!

My scanner shows my path to go in one direction for a while, then it stops when I get to some random location in a hall, if I scan again, it takes me back 180 degrees the way I came, then stops at some random point again. It took way less than 12 hours to enjoy Starfield.  Simple seeming side quests end up being bigger deals than the main quests I've played so far.

I got the Game Pass 3-month from Best Buy that had the Starfield "gift".  It's in a little box a little smaller than a game case/steelbook and has 3 stickers in it.  Not a huge bargain at $38.24, but it's cheaper than retail and had a nice little extra for a one time purchase.

Still can't believe Microsoft dedicated so much Series X hardware to cloud when people were starved for new consoles at the beginning of a new console generation during the pandemic, and I'm stuck in a 30 minute queue.  Then that beta feature that's included with game pass subs gets used against them in an attempt to dismantle their Activision acquisition.

Working my way through Danganronpa V3.  The jokes are hitting more often for me compared to the first two (there's a gigantic OG Xbox in the game).  The music carries the game hard again.  The game feels 50% too long (like the first two).

I'm barely on the second chapter but I'm not feeling the motivation to finish it, especially after hearing Fuga 2 is basically the same game; I might just watch a playthrough to get the gist of the story and character relationships before I jump into 2 in the future (if I even do that).

In the meantime, I like where Beacon Pines is going and I want to finish that before I put it off and forget the story. After that I'm going to pick up Plague Tale Requiem again with a little Hitman on the side before their potential departures mid-October.

I'm doing my new game+ run of Fuga and I understand where you're coming from. Like the gameplay doesn't change up at all and it's kinda overwhelming trying to balance how to do your first play through (focus on upgrading, dungeon crawling, more bonds, etc.). With that said, New Game + and steamrolling over everybody is pretty damn satisfying.

You need to understand Xbox's strategy. How many more consoles would they have sold if they had the supply available? 10 million more? Instead of going for a few more million console sales, they are going after the billions of mobile, tablet, PC and TV streaming users.

They did admit in court that they are losing money with xCloud. Sony is finding out the hard way just how expensive it is to operate a game streaming service which is probably the reason why they just increased prices of their monthly subscription by 40% !!

I bought a code for Fuga from Gameflip. I want to 100% it but I'm busy finishing other GP games and Deathloop on PS+ before it leaves. Sounds like Fuga sold pretty poorly (the price doesn't help) and I want to throw a few bucks at a Japanese dev for bringing a smaller game to Xbox.

Hasn't crashed on me. The achievements are glitchy and if they don't pop when they should they recommend deleting all save files and starting over. I'm on my third restart. Luckily, the levels aren't long.

Interesting idea for managing a backlog of games. Seems a bit like work though. When I saw Kanban as a board type I was like I get where this is going. Create a prioritized backlog of 10 games or so and then move them in progress until they get completed. Never have more than 3 or so in progress until you complete one. Going down this route you might as well start using a ticketing system like Jira though if you really want to manage your game backlog properly :shock:

Triggerheart Exelica is coming to Switch (in Japan at least) this December, probably under a different publisher.  That is probably why it was delisted.  I don't know if it is going to other platforms or getting a western release.
