They shouldn't check to see if you own it, thats ing lame.
If you don't want the game you should be able to get another or it's not compensation.
So in other words, Microsoft owes you whatever you choose at equal or lesser value as Undertow for a problem you very likely didn't personally experience?
Same crap they pulled with the free Carcassone giveaway.
It never even occured to me to contact them to get another game or refund when that happened. I guess I'm glad they didn't compensate people who already had it because I would have missed out on it at this point. That would have pissed me off way more than them giving away a game I already had .
As for Undertow, YAY, *finally* they give away something I hadn't already paid for. It's about ing time. So I'm happy, anyway. I had considered buying this back when I got all those points from CC and was combing through the upcoming XBLA titles. But when it actually came out I was in the mode of not buying anything because they just gave away Carcassone for free. I guess that strategy (of not buying anything any more) paid off - way to go Microsoft! I will continue to not buy stuff for the forseeable future! (I did make an exception for Puzzle Quest and that was well worth it though - that game just keeps going and going, in a good way!)
Why not just give us some MS points.
This is about the fifth time I've answered this dumbass, ignorant question. If you can't figure out why Microsoft can't just "give everyone some MS points", it's not worth explaining it to your dumb racist ass.

Why not just give us some MS points. M$ is made up of nothing but cheap ass bastards. I am going to start refering to them as the, "CABs".
Didn't personally experience? Live was down for many days, are you kidding?
Not to mention I had just had to pay my $50 to renew mere days before it happened so it was even worse.
AND it was vacation time, which was prime time for gaming so it was even more valuable than just any random time, to me.
it gets a big meh from me. Good that they're giving away a free game, but this game isn't really even my cup of tea. Now I wonder if you buy it and then call support before they start the offer, would they give you the points back?
I also hope this doesn't become the game of the week in place of a new release I would buy
Hell free is free but I think they should do more. I would have been happy if they just extended everyones gold membership for the time frame. Every day it was down just add back to everyones account. Thats what I think should have been done and to me that is more then just a game. Even if all it was is a day that it was down. However a game is nice but they should extend memberships for the days it was down. I'm not saying I wont download the game hell it is free and for the past few months all I do is use my 360 as a dvd player anyway. I just think and will always thing they should give back the days that is was down.
Yeah I agree with those that say you may not think this game is your cup of tea, but to say it's a crappy game makes you look like an idiot.
I can appreciate a well made game even if it's not appealing to me. One example I can think of is Skate. I would never play it, but I think it's a great game.
Undertow is a very well made game for it's genre and size restriction.
It's also very odd that Gamespot never reviewed t.
I'm praying that their servers die trying to get Undertow out to everyone and people aren't able to download it during the window. Oh, what fun that would be.

Yeah, I played the demo. I don't get it. It seems...okay, but not $10. If it was $5, I probably would've gotten it. The XBLA stuff is getting too pricey and the quality isn't there. If they wanted to give us a $10 game, it shouldn't have been this because it's not worth $10.
Also, only being available for a week...that's a little stiff.

That's why you download the demo version of it now, and the full game when it is free (since it simply unlocks the demo, whcih takes a second instead of downloading it)
The most common quote on CAG related to all xbox live arcade games:

What, pray tell, is worth $10 then? What are you expecting? Retail like games? Gears of War?
XBLA games cost about the same as a movie ticket. And even the bad ones usually supply more entertainment than most movies these days.
Puzzle Quest is well worth the "$15". And I put the $15 in quotes because who pays actual money for XBL points? I mean besides people like Wombat . Of course it only cost me $7.50 with the CC points deal - definitely worth it for that price. Same goes for most of the $10 games I have bought (costing me $5 or so in real money). The exception being Carcassone since they gave it away for free shortly after I bought it .
Besides Carcassone, my biggest regret is purchasing Hexic 2 - though I'm definitely relieved that wasn't the giveaway game as I was completely expecting it to be. I also haven't put that much time into Pac-Man CE, either, though it is certainly a good game. My other "$10" purchases were Worms and Bomberman and I've definitely gotten at least $10 worth of play from those.
funny thing is.. i've had more fun with the 5 dollar XBL games then I had with some of the retail games..
IMO gripshift is one of the best games on the system I also really liked the TMNT arcade.. I have yet to pick up bomberman but it'll probably be my next purchase.. hey a free game is a free game.. Catan is great.. especially if you like the board game (which I do) but anyways.. free is free..

The money signs are there in place of the word, hmm how to put this, means gay but rhymes with maggot.

Good idea! Went ahead and downloaded the trial version.
When you've downloaded it does it count as if you've bought it?
The reason that I'm asking is that one of my friend's 360 had been stolen and he can't download the game now. If I download it for him will he be able to get it when he has a new 360?

youd have to recover his account to your 360 and download it on each account
Don't like it, I played the demo when it first came out. Held my intrest for three minutes at the most. I'll download it just because it's free, maybe try it another day. Though like any other free crap, just delete it when I need more space on my drive. Not complaining, just saying.
