Relax Silver, posting in the correct section will keep this place less messy. Why do you think we have a Contest & Free Stuff Section?

Thanks for the heads up OP. I literally just checked my email and breezed right past that one. Good thing this was here to show me what I skipped!

I too was having problems like everyone else when trying to redeem the code through the link provided in the email, but when I just went to redeem code myself through the website, it worked fine.
If you're getting an error, don't copy/paste the code. Worked for me.
This.

Tried to copy and paste and got the "please enter a valid code" error. I manually typed in the code and was able to redeem the points. Thanks for the tip.

Received two of these emails, the first was at 10pm last night and the second was at 2am this morning. Unfortunately they both contained the same 100msp code.

I'm wondering if this VIP is a continuation of the previous emails that contained the Adidas avatar codes, which I also received. That would be pretty cool to know that you're considered a VIP and will receive one of these emails with free codes whenever they decide to send new ones out.

They're random. All Xbox promos are. Basically, if you're opted in you might receive free points from time to time. I've experimented with opting out and back in a few times, and a friend of mine has a family account. One of the four profiles he has got the points, and it's a month old profile.

@XboxSupport sayn Not all users are eligible for all offers ^JG You may still receive the email, but offers vary from user to user ^JG It is not random, but not everybody is eligible ^JG /// i got Adidas avatar but no points and in still lost

Same with me. 2 emails, but the same code.

On the bright side, the code finally worked for me. On the negative side, it didn't actually give me 100MSP. At least not yet anyway.

Same for me. First email's link was broken, but I copy pasted the code to the regular 'redeem code' option and it worked. Try that if you haven't.

I used it in the VIP section. It said I was entered and that 100MSP were mine. No points have been added to my account.

I then used the code at the Redeem Code section on Xbox.com and it says it isn't a valid code.

Copying and pasting the code seems to add a space to the end of it which makes redeeming it not work. I'd suggest like mentioned to just type it out if removing that space doesn't work.

I have two Live Rewards accounts, and neither one of them lets me access this "red carpet" page. I've never gotten a promotion from XBL on either account. :( Jerks.

You know what, last night I tried copy and pasting on my laptop, and got those errors. Then I tried typing it in on the page thru my phone, and that worked. Guess it really is a copy and paste issue. I added a note to the OP for people to try that. Good eye, whoever realized that.

Mine worked. It is free stuff but a slight pain. You have to copy the code, follow the link, enter the code, then go to another page and re-enter the code. The points were added right away to my account.

I like how I've been an xbox live member for about 6 years now and I still haven't received any of this stuff. Way to be nice to your loyal members Microsoft.

Actually I had removed the space at the end and it still said it wasn't valid. On the bright side, the points finally popped up in my account. Took almost a full day to add them.

Never got anything from the rewards program until now. 2 emails, one of them working. It was the same code and it worked fine.
I never got the email.

The URL doesn't work. It just redirects me to the Xbox Live MyRewards homepage.
In the official rules, it says the contest is only open to people who got the email. Lame!
Whoa just randomly won 100 ms points. Didn't realize it til today, but the weird thing is it shows up in my rewards and my total.

Here a pic showing that I won bonus points.

Same here. Very cool.

Side note for the base Rewards program: There's a new March survey up now.. and there's also a 5% Points Back event for March as long as you're gold.

I got this email finally, found it in my junk folder of all places...

~~~
Sorry for the spam but I was wondering how long it takes for them to deposit the points into accounts? I have been sitting over 400 point for 3 months and will now have another 120 points added to my rewards as of today but have yet to be able to spend any of it.
An Enrollee needs 100 or more "pending" Microsoft Points before the Microsoft Points will be converted to "awarded". Once an Enrollee has 100 or more "pending" Microsoft Points, it will take up to 45 days for such Microsoft Points to appear in the Enrollee's Account as "awarded".
Did you check your Live email address or the one in Contact Preferences?
Are your Live email address and the one in Contact Preferences the same?
Man I was in the beta for the reward program and they awarded point when the month end. Now they won't do it for 45 days? that's lame. Oh well free point is free point. Can't complaint. Better than renew live and get nothing
Dude you are the man, I think you solved my problem.
I will check this out.
You didn't answer my questions. I am interested in your response because, well, I am in a similar situation as you. I was awarded an avatar t-shirt, but I didn't receive the email.
Oh haha sorry. I had a different email for my contact preferences. Unfortunately it was an email I hadnt used in a long time so it was offline. So I wasnt able to confirm if I ever received the email or not. Still I contacted the rewards program and they are looking into sending me a new code.
We will see how it goes ^^
I just received my email this morning about the copy of Kinect Sports I won way back. The email just had me update my shipping address for shipping. Check your emails if you won a copy also. Email was sent from ePrize Fulfillment Services, and the email subject was Xbox LIVE Rewards VIP Exclusives- ACTION REQUIRED
