So what do you guys think of it? I love it. Since I moved, it allows me to play with my friends still. It also adds another level of competition. I think its great.
 
I really love it. Sadly, it's becoming one of the few truly enjoyable gaming experiences for me anymore. I find myself becoming tired of most single player games, since they seem to me to be "same thing, better graphics" year to year (hoping fable breaks me out of my funk). But, online, with a couple of friends I can play Rainbow Six or the two Ghost Recons over and over in cooperative mode. Or a round of Top Spin. Can't say much about the other modes or games since I'm really not interested in "everybody kill everybody" games whether it's with guns or mechs or planes and I have no real skill at racing games...I'd just be the embarrasing guy banging into every turn in PGR2.

Though, I have been having a lot of fun with Pandora Tomorrow, guess it's that coop slant to it. Wish it had missions for multiplayer though...couple of spies working together....mabye the next one.
 
Im that guy on PGR2 I still have fun with it though. The only thing I hate is the annoying little kids, but I play mostly after 11pm so it is the older stoned crowd. We get along just fine!

I as well become easily BORED with single-player games. I get satisfaction in beating people online . Its hard to find a friend with the skills to be a worthy opponent.

I get annoyed with the younger crowd as well on PGR2, and I also am on mostly after 11pm (est). Mind if I ask what your gamertag is bigNick? Mine is Mrmagoo1974.
 
I haven't played on live for a while. My Xbox is there collecting dust. Off course so is everything else with the addition of a child. I wonder if my scores on PGR2 still hold to this date.
 
I'm thoroughly enjoying my XBOX Live. Coming from the PS2 camp, I was addicted to Madden 2004, but I've had some fun with the Ghost Recons and Crimson Skies. My only gripe: There are many, many jerks on there. I'm a relative newbie to most of my Live games, and people are impatient when I'm just trying to figure out what the heck is going on half the time. I know there are more players like me out there.
 
Hey if you guys suck at PGR2 look me up. We can have a wall slamming fest sometime. :D

I know what you guys are saying about the dumb kids, though that's some of the best parts about Xbox Live. We had a game going and some kid got ticked and started blaring music into his mic. I've heard quite a few people get riled up on there, it's funny.

My gamertage is Ultimate Matt X and I have PGR2, Pandora Tomorrow, Links 2004, MechAssault, and Wolfenstein if anyone wants to play.

ha said it best. i think its amazing, from the moment i got it i ejoyed it too much. id be with honies and all i could think about was when i would go home light a dutch and play some hockey. my only beef is that the kids over run it during the day. i constantly am defeated by divers and cheap goals. im starting to get into rainbow six, just bought top spin for 59 cents after trading in some horrid dvds and phantasy star it up when time permits. my gamer tag is nickzero. if you have espn hockey and dont spend half of your life diving in the nuetral zone... GET AT ME YA'll
 
xbox live problems: little kids, unnecessary rampant racism, servers, quickmatch, headset bugs/glitches, running into people that only play dumb a$$ clan matches....

xbox live good qualities: option to set always online or not, optimatch, show yourself offline, mute other annoying people, Making and deleting entries in friends list, .....
 
I have only played Capcom vs. SNK 2 online so far. I like it, but the Xbox D-Pad absolutely sucks for that game. So I got a PS2 to Xbox converter and all is cool. I still hate the fact you can't disable the analog sticks though because sometimes your character will keep jumping up and down. Because of that, I use an old-school PS1 pad with no analog.

I have Outlaw Volleyball but haven't managed to start a game with anyone yet. Those are the only competitive Live games I have.

I'm with ya on the little kids (nothing more aggravating than getting smoked in PGR2 by someone who's not old enough to drive) but racism? There's a lot of name calling, but unless someone's gamertag spells out their race (like BlakNProwd411), how can you tell?

Speaking of sucking at PGR2, State Farm would have dropped me years ago if I drove like that in real life. My gamertag is eshbums if anyone wants to race someone they have a pretty good chance of beating!
 
I saw someone mention the racism on Xbox Live. I haven't encountered that much, but the homophobia runs wild on Xbox Live. One time I joined in a MechAssault game and accidently shot someone or didn't do something quick and I got a reply like this, "F*$% you you f%^$ing f@#, f^$$%^ motherf%^$%$. I don't think I've been called so many names so quick. :D I've had similar experiences in other games.
