I am nervous with the Quality that Ms puts out with there first run Xbox systems. The 360 was rrod, The Xbox one early editions have optical drive issues. You put a disc in it may decide not to recognize the disc. That happened on my day one and elite versions.

 
Told myself I wouldn't preorder . . . 

Preordered at Amazon and Best Buy to be safe.  Also on the list at a couple of local gamestops.  Hopefully one will come through.

Why doesn't the Microsoft store have the Xbox One X up? Everywhere else does...I have all my credit there ready to preorder and I'm in the minority that actually wants the Peoject Scorpio edition lol

I found that absolutely mind boggling. Your own show / announcement yet everyone else is live before you.

Also Best buy only had a shipping option. No store pickup.

 
I also think Microsoft is doing a big Wii U with the name.  I wish they would have named it "Super Xbox One".  I think that would have made more sense.

 
Sorry for the confusion but I just looked at GameStop's page and it says "preorder now before it's gone forever". Is this Xbox One X just a limited console that won't be made for a long time?

Only the "Project Scorpio" edition is limited. The regular version of the One X will be for sale along with the One S when these run out.

damn gamestop getting smarter. Only allow you to trade in xbox one s for 200 after launch. There goes hopes and dreams and trading in now and canceling later date to get the trade bump

Thanks for the info. Want to preorder from Target to get my 10% employee discount but don't want a $550 authorization charge on my card for 3-5 days. Was able to preorder from Amazon though.

I have a feeling the $200 will be a PS4 Pro trade in, Xbox One S will probably be $150.

 
Hmm. Ordered 3 Scorpios from Best Buy. Think they will cancel the 2 extras? I'm not ashamed to admit that I intend to scalp extras to try to recoup the cost of having one for myself. I got a free Switch when it launched so I see no reason the limited Scorpios can't do the same.

Any word what regular phat 500gb XB1's might get as far as trading them in towards a XBX? Sorry if this a dumb question had no interest in a X till today. I actually have two phats and a S model I could trade towards this.

Put in preorder at amazon but I'm wondering if gamestop is the better place to preorder because of a trade-in promotion. Not sure how much the day one original xbox one will get.

 
I'm not liking the "Project Scorpio" wording on the console and controller.   Did a pre-order anyways, but will cancel once the regular edition becomes available.

I'm not even sure why I preordered. I still have the Xbox One Halo Masterchief collection bundle still sealed. I bought it like 2 years ago but yet to open it. I basically preordered a Blu Ray player that plays video games but yet, has none.
 
Flyer on the door at the local GameStop had the breakdown for the trade in promo. $200 for switch/PS4 pro, $150 for PS4/Xbox one S, $100 for the VCR Xbone. Was told a coupon for the promo would be sent to my PUR account.

Headed to the store after I got the reminder call, they had already done 13 or 14 preorders and after me only had 3 left.

Not even interested. My XB1 collects dust right now and any new game I'll just play on that. I do have a 4K TV w/ HDR but have no interest in playing Gears and the like in 4K.

Damn, these are disappointing values. I have a preorder in but I don't think I'll keep it for that price.
 
Got a call from my GameStop, allotted 13 units and had 3 left. Unfortunately they closed 13 minutes after the call, and I couldn't have made it in time. Now to decide if I want to go in there at opening and try to get one, or secure one online now. I'd rather not tie up the $500 trade credit all at once though. I assume when preordering online with trade credit the full amount would be taken out right away?
 
Tempted to pre order solely for the fact that it's limited edition... But I have absolutely no need or time for this
