[CUSTOMSPOILER="General Info"]
Q. What is MyPunchcard?
A. MyPunchcard is a part of the Xbox LIVE Rewards program open to all members. Through MyPunchcard, Xbox LIVE Rewards members can get rewarded for performing a specific set of actions outlined in the Punchcard for each offer. Once all punches are earned on a specific Punchcard, get rewarded!

Q. Who is eligible for MyPunchcard?
A. All Xbox LIVE Rewards members are eligible to participate in MyPunchcard. To start earning punches for completing specific actions, join Xbox LIVE Rewards now for free if you haven’t already: http://rewards.xbox.com.

Q. How does MyPunchcard work?
A. Each Punchcard has a set amount of punches required in order to complete it. Once a specific action is completed and a punch is earned, it can take up to 96 hours for it to appear on the MyPunchcard page. Xbox LIVE Rewards members are only eligible to receive a Reward once all punches have been earned and the entire Punchcard is complete. There is a limit of one Reward per one completed Punchcard, unless otherwise noted.

Q. Where can I find the available Punchcards?
A. To check out the available Punchcards, log into the Xbox LIVE Rewards site and visit the MyPunchcard page. The amount of available Punchcards each month will vary.

Q. Do Punchcards expire?
A. Yes. Once a Punchcard expires, no further punches will be provided for actions completed after that date. Expiration dates for each Punchcard vary and are listed on the MyPunchcard page found here.

Q. I completed a Punchcard! How do I claim my Reward?
A. If the Reward is Microsoft Points, they will appear under Pending on your MyRewards page by the 15th of the following month. If the Reward is anything other than Microsoft Points, an email will be sent to your contact email listed here with instructions to redeem your Reward. The Rewards for completion of a Punchcard will vary with each Punchcard offer. Rewards will not be provided during the Punchcard offer period.

April's PlaytoEarn Punchcard
Check your status - May take 3-5 days to update
XBLA DLC purchases do not count toward the April Punchcard - source

Cornelius's list of sources for last-minute XBLA purchase ideas:
  • The Wikipedia page for XBLA releases, sorted by MSP.
  • Xbox.com's sorted list of best-selling XBLA titles.
  • Major Nelson's most-recent list of top 20 XBLA games purchased.
  • The Twisted Pixel bundle ... seriously, it's 3600 MSP worth of games for 800 MSP!
  • The DOTW for April 30th, listed on our OP, as well as Major Nelson's blog, which will go live around 4/30 @ 2am PDT, and be valid for 14-15 hours up through the promo's deadline between 4pm-5pm'ish PDT (depending how they've configured the reporting servers to account for GMT).
Note I was going to also suggest the "Angry Birds Trilogy" sale starting 4/30, but since it's a GoD title, it doesn't count.
  • Games your friends have picked up. Use the "Compare Games" feature on their profile, which will list their games in order of most-recently played by default.
  • Atari-published games, which you should assume will get de-published as soon as its game licenses/IP are sold off in bankruptcy court.
  • Games NOT found on compilation discs, because you can often find them "cheap" on eBay or used-game retailers. See this XBLA thread post (under "XBLA Discs") for more info & lists.
  • And finally, TylerH1701's list of XBLA games yet to go on sale
Hope this helps anyone's last-minute purchase dilemma. ;)

FAQ:
_________________________________________________

Q: So what is this and how much does it cost?
A: Xbox Rewards is a free loyalty program run by ePrize for the Microsoft Corporation. They offer free and Gold Xbox Live members "rewards" for completing survey, making qualified purchases, or other actions during a specified period.

Q: Where do I start?
A: You should start by reviewing the official FAQ. Once you are done there, and you have decided to join, you are ready to start earning rewards.

Q: I never got my reward for my first purchase after joining the rewards program?
A: According to the official FAQ. You will only earn that reward for your first purchase from the marketplace ever. If you made a purchase before joining the program, you are out of luck.

Q: I never got my reward for activating Netflix after joining the rewards program?
A: According to the official FAQ and some discussion with @XboxSupport You will only earn that reward for the first time you ever activate Netflix on your specific gamertag. If you did that before joining the program, you are out of luck. If you are still good, you have to have had Netflix activated for 1 month and have watched 2+ hours of streaming content during that time period.

Q: When will this end?
A: According to the official T&C, the program is scheduled to end at 3:59 p.m. GMT on June 30, 2012. It is possible that the program will be renewed or go after that, but there hasn't been more info on that yet.

Q: Will my Xbox LIVE Rewards Points expire?
A: Rewards Points do expire, so be sure to use them by June 30, 2012.

Q: How do I use my expiring Microsoft Points first?
A: Promotional points with expiration dates are automatically redeemed first before purchased points. [source]
Man, I'm tempted by Dust and Mark of the Ninja. But I have such a high physical backlog already....
you and me both (see sig), but both those are great titles (from what I've played). They are what I got, as well as castle crashers. No idea when I'll have time, but at least I have motivation now with the play 20 hours punchcard;)

Yeah, now I'm really confused. My punchcard updated and now it has 4 punches for the Live reward and 2 for the 800 points reward. I only bought Exit 2 & Omega 5 this month. Prior to that I redeemed a code for the MAW and bought Darkstalkers whenever it was first released. Oh well, I'm buying Double Dragon II in a few hours and I can easily find something else. Now I just have to spend 5 hours on 4 different arcade titles.

on the xbox dash there is a rewards event registration. It says xbox live rewards registration + Arcade.
Is this needed for anything if we are already rewards members.
They already said no.

http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_forums/xbox_rewards_support/f/29/t/524156.aspx

Would be interesting if they say something otherwise on Twitter. Going to purchase the Plants vs. Zombies Pinball FX2 table this week from the Microsoft Studios sale and just wait to see if it shows up toward the 3,200. Though, since Pinball FX2 is a bit different from other XBLA stuff, being a free hub with purchasable tables, it may count differently than other DLC toward the punchcard. Also curious to see how things work out for anyone that bought the Walking Dead on 4/1 from the Spring Sale, since episodes 2-5 count as DLC to episode 1's "game".
Definitely interested to see if that works out for you with pinball, I want to pick up the Star Wars tables but am debating between using the points I have on that or just an arcade for now so it counts towards some free points back, and using those for the tables.

Most likely the same answer since they are listed in add-ons but I too wondered about possible exceptions for "DLC games" from free hubs, like Star Wars Pinball on FX2 or Scrabble on HFGN. That linked forum post just inquired Trials which is straight up DLC and Happy Wars which has no DLC AFAIK. Poor examples, IMO.

This also threw me off. I didn't download whatever that was until after I already put in about 15 hours of playtime and bought 3 games. I sure hope that isn't needed for any of that to count. There is no mention of needing to download anything on the rewards site.

My punchcards finally updated last night. Oddly enough, I received punches for 4 games when I've only purchased 3 so far. On the other hand, I've played over 15 hours of arcade games but have only received 2 punches for that. Anyone else's punches a bit off?

I also have 4 instead of the 3 I should have, but haven't gotten any of the 5 hour punchs when I feel certain I should have one. I'm not really worried about it though, and the extra punch is sweet. Still need to spend another 1600 to get the 800 back

Haha. That's how I am. I still need to spend another 800 to fill out that punch card and plan on getting Poker Night 2 when it drops later this month so the extra game purchase punch doesn't really mean anything to me since I'll just be buying another game anyway.

My punches updated this morning. I also got four punches in the Xbox Live Gold punchcard after buying only three games. The games added up to 1600 MSP, so maybe the punchcard is actually looking for sets of 400 MSP spent on XBLA. Similar to how the 800 MSP punchcard is looking for sets of 800 MSP to fill in a punch.

But I'm not going to trust any bonus punches will hold up as accurate. Not that it matters. I need to spend another 1600 MSP for the third punchcard, so naturally I'm going to buy more XBLA games. I'm hoping tomorrow Marvel vs Capcom: Origins is announced as a DotW. If I'm really lucky Garou, Battle Coliseum, and Samurai Shodown II will finally go on sale.

My wishlist (I'm sure you all care:roll:) for DotWs:

Fez
RB: Blitz
Minecraft:hot::hot::hot:
Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet
Shadow Complex
Pac Man: CEDX
Braid
Super Meat Boy

If any of those are 50% off, I'll be good to go (well, might need 2-3, but it would certainly help). Curious what others are hoping to pick up, as I expect most have the mainstays. I only just got a 360 in october though, so I've got tons of catching up to do:bouncy:
Second code for tomb raider scavenger hunt is "artifact"
Thanks, added it to the OP. Where did you find it? I still see "explore" in the image on the main Rewards page and it still just mentions the first code.

The MyAchievements rebate for March has shown up in my pending points list.
i entered artifact and got a "You've missed your chance to enter that code. Keep looking!" message
Same here. Got the same message around 8am this morning. Really disappointing that they are releasing 1 code per week, but apparently only giving us a couple days to enter it.

There should be a new code released this week. Hopefully they're release it before Friday this time.

My punches have finally updated.
Have all 4 punches for the free month and 800 points....
Now just need to get 15 more hours played on arcade games....

Some have said that for the 800 points your purchases have to be 800 points each, they do not...
I only purchased 1 game that was 800 points, everything else was lower on sale.
But I did spend 3200 points...

"Played" is a relative term here ... you only need to be logged into Xbox Live with an arcade game running ... hitting "pause" & then heading to work did the trick for me. :D

Balls.

All this talk about punchcards finally updating had me curious, so I popped over to see my own only to find that none do the ten+ hours I played in the past two days had shown.

Well, my dumbass forgot how slow XBR servers were to update account info and I decided to stop putting off changing my GT like I have wanted to do for months now. Their forum support claims it can take from 2-5 days for them to update, which in turn means that no activity is going to count until they change it. FML :wall:

Awesome. Marvel vs Capcom: Origins did go on sale today. In the past week someone in either this thread or the XBL Deals thread said he saw Wolverine where the Pool Nation tile should be, so it seemed like a good chance this game would go on sale.

A slight bummer is Bionic Commando Rearmed will be going on sale for 80 MSP less than what I paid for it through the sales and specials app a week ago. It's just one dollar, but that's a legacy Rock Band song. On the bright side, I held off from buying part 2, so I'll save an extra 120 MSP on it next week. Now I'll be at:

600 - Retro City Rampage
600 - Mark of the Ninja
600 - Marvel vs Capcom Origins
480 - Bionic Commando Rearmed 2
400 - Bionic Commando Rearmed

2680 spent, 520 to go.

It's great how all these deals are stacking this month. DotWs and publisher sales, 1 month of Xbox Live Gold, 800 MSP rebate, MyAchievements.

damn I bought all the good games I wanted during December sales. I don't recall the "bonus" spending reward but I'm sure this April punchcard thing (coupled with the good weekly sales) is much better, perhaps the best I've seen

also I checked my rewards and I've never received the 100 msp for my "first marketplace purchase ever".

http://rewards.xbox.com/terms-and-conditions/
Make Your 1st Purchase on Xbox LIVE Marketplace: Available only to participants making their first Xbox LIVE Marketplace purchase since joining Xbox LIVE (it is still considered a "first time purchase" if the participant has not made a Marketplace purchase since 12/31/07). This is defined as the purchase of an Xbox LIVE Marketplace item using Microsoft Points or a dollar denominated credit card transaction. Your first purchase must be made on or after the confirmation of your enrollment into the Program. The purchase of Microsoft Points only will not count towards receiving these Microsoft Points. If you have already made an Xbox LIVE Marketplace purchase prior to the start of the Program, you are not eligible for this award. Only participants who make their first purchase on the Marketplace will earn one hundred (100) Microsoft Points. Participants can only earn these Microsoft Points one time during the Program.

The terms are confusing. If I understand the part I bolded, people that made a purchase before joining Rewards (but after Dec 31 2007) and then join Rewards are ineligible for the 100 msp?

If so the Rewards program is even more of a joke. That would mean the vast majority of people in Rewards didn't qualify for this.
i entered artifact and got a "You've missed your chance to enter that code. Keep looking!" message

Same here. Got the same message around 8am this morning. Really disappointing that they are releasing 1 code per week, but apparently only giving us a couple days to enter it.

There should be a new code released this week. Hopefully they're release it before Friday this time.
I hadn't checked the official rules page, thought all relevant, non-legalese info would be in the Rewards FAQ, but apparently not. I thought it was odd that the Rewards FAQ said 1 secret code would be released per week, while the contest wouldn't last 4 full weeks. The official rules page lists a schedule for the codes :

  1. 3/28/13 - 4/20/13
  2. 4/1/13 - 4/7/13
  3. 4/8/13 - 4/14/13
  4. 4/15/13 - 4/20/13
So "explore" is good for the entire promotion, while "artifact" expired on Sunday. I had redeemed it on Sunday, but didn't update the OP or mention it until yesterday, not knowing how they were doing things. Doing some Googling, it looks like they didn't announce the 2nd code's availability until Friday, as nCogNeato mentioned, but kept the original end date.

Thought it was odd that trying to enter the explore code again got a "you already redeemed this message" while entering artifact again got the expired message.

Will clear things up in the OP later.
My Punchcard page is blank. Literally doesn't have the punchcard itself. I've already spent 2200 points 2/4 games.
probably a problem with your browser. Try using chrome or firefox or opera, whichever isn't your default, and see if it shows up. Could try IE on 360, if you really want to torture yourself:drool:

If they were actually following that schedule (which it already seems like they're not) that would mean the third code would be floating around somewhere. Has anyone found it? Also, where did "artifact" show up?

When did you make the purchases? It took a good 4-5 days for my punches to show up.

It was in a picture posted on the Xbox Facebook page.

In the Twitter conversation I linked above, someone said they should extend the deadline because they posted the code 4 days late and the XBLRewards person didn't understand what he meant by that. :wall:
You'd think people would know the rules to their own promotion.
One would also think that an intensive program like XBR would also be run my MS themselves, but they only sponsor it. I wouldn't be surprised if XBR is also pawning off the Tomb Raider contest via a separate company as well, lol.

And besides, customer reps aren't really given the info or means to be more than personable versions of policies and suggestion forms or troubleshooting FAQs anyway. (My gf is one, in a looser sense of the field.)
The Rewards Twitter said today was point deposit day. Mine showed up.

Didn't see anything about the next Tomb Raider code.
The code is "NAVIGATE"

For those wondering, the Navigate code was found on the email newsletter this week from Xbox Live Rewards. It is inside the graphic for Tomb Raider.

Anyone having issues with punches showing up on the cards? I finally caved and bought Minecraft for 1600MSP on Saturday specifically because of this offer, and a couple of days later my account updated with a single punch: the one for playing 5 hours. Nothing for the purchase has shown up yet, and it's past the stated 96 hours now.

It can take 3 – 5 days for a Punchcard activity to show as complete.

I've been trying to access xbox rewards today, and I keep getting an internal server 500 error when I try to join. I have a friend referring me, and I would like him to be able to reap the benefits, and me also redeem them for starting a subscription and netflix, etc.
If anyone else is experiencing this, what the heck is going on?

I remember having to deal with the company in control of the "How Do You Xbox Live" (or whatever) promotion. I made a really killer video and put a lot of time and effort into it and then a few days after submitting it, it was taken down. I contacted the company and they responded saying they don't know why it was taken down and that they'd look into it. I never heard back from them even though I email them 2 more times for an update. Not to be cocky, but my video was better than the ones that won.

Needless to say, I'm not happy with the company that handles the Rewards promotions. They don't seem to care much about them.

Just got my March statement with the image 20 minutes ago. Wonder why they don't all get sent out at once.

Updated the OP, shifting the secret codes to above the contest info and included info of where they were found.

Has anyone gotten any progress toward the 3,200 punchcard offer with some Arcade DLC purchases? I know they said it needed to be games, but given how they've been wrong about some other things, they might be wrong on that as well. I bought Retro City Rampage and the Plants vs. Zombies pinball table from last week's sales Tuesday morning and purchased the Doritos Crash Course DLC last night, so I've spent 880 on Arcade stuff so far this month. Not planning to buy any of the current DOTW, so I can wait and see if that 880 results in a punch before getting anything from the next DOTW.

I doubt they're going to miss this ... within the Xbox billing system, it knows full game from DLC, and they already explicitly clarified this in the Rewards forum.

I'd have a better confirmation from my own purchases, but right now I have 3 punches from 2400 MSP in full games, and 320 MSP in DLC. If I had any less in full XBLA games, then I'd have confirmation one way or the other, but I'm 90% sure they know what they're doing in this particular promo (as opposed to Shocktober).

Is anyone getting the 5 hour punches to update yet? My other two cards seem to be working fine, but I should have some results on my 5 hour one by now, and nothing.

I'm sitting out the whole punchcard deal. I've bought 130 arcade games over the life of my console, and they just now decide to make a reward for it? Besides, I'm saving my cash for my vacation in June.

I've gotten a punch on my time card.

I wish I would have kept track from the beginning. All I know is that I'm somewhere between 5-10 hours. I guess it's not too much of a hassle given I am playing backlogged games.
