Yet More Craigslist Stupidity!

There's even a NEStard near me that wants stadium events -.-

Hey, I want to buy Nintendo Stadium Events for the Nintendo Game system. Someone probably has one in a old box that they are not using. I will but it today if available. If you have the box it came in then that would be great too. I want this one pretty bad... pretty cool exercise game :) and it is worth "A LOT of money" to collectors on the internet. Since this is also a collectable item, I will pay a little more for it!!

Omigosh, pretty cool exercise game -- FORGET WII SPORTS!

Best part is that the person says it's worth "A LOT of money" -- why would someone go to some random idiot on craigslist after finding out that what they have is worth "A LOT"?

Then there's a "Play Two"...

http://winstonsalem.craigslist.org/vgm/1600232551.html

Oh well. These are the idiots that actually pay full price for anything, anyway.

wasnt sure if this would go here since everyones talking about it or the Finds thread but apparently some guy drove from Indiana to MO to pick up a real copy of Stadium Events someone posted.

No, I was referencing the post above your post and Craigslist said it had been flagged for removal. Why are you freaking out over a Craigslist ad?

I can understand not knowing what something is worth, but the least these morons could do is go on Amazon or something and see what a new one sells for. $200+ PS2's (with or without crappy sports games) are insanely common on my local CL.

I honestly can't wait for the Stadium Events crap to blow over. CL is now flooded with morons either asking specifically for that game, or offering to buy large "collections" thinking it'll make them rich.

I have a rare 80 GB PS3 that is B.C. No controller no games no cables no hard drive no cd drive, only the box it came in. I never play it. I don't know why I bought it. It's not new, but it looks new. Asking $5,000 for it. Works perfect. Adult owned somke free home.

What the heck is wrong with my city? I swear people post the stupidest things and it's getting worse...

What the hell? I only buy video games from homes WITH somke!!!

So how much do you think it would cost to recreate the Stadium Events cartridge sticker and then we can put them over all the Super Mario/Duck Hunt cartridges and sell them on Craigslist? :)
All of these are from the same person and while they aren't the worst deals I've seen due to how much they are asking for and how much you can get the games for basically anywhere else, I still found it pretty funny, especially since they write great price or great deal in all of them.

250gb backwards compatible ps3 (rare 80gb model) Rare extras! - $650 (Warwick)

Date: 2010-02-19, 2:06AM EST
Reply to: [email protected] [Errors when replying to ads?]

Extremly rare to find harware backwards compatible multicard reader 4 USB port chrome trimmed mint with original box, maneuls and spiderman3 blueray disk, 2 dual shock3 remotes, rare akuma sf4 fight pad and a rare sf4 tournament edition fightstick in box. You also get Street Fighter 4 ps3 game and madden 2010. All with an awsome 250gb hardrive and HDMI gold tipped cable!!!! ( no smocker, no dust, adult owned, rarley played) No scammers ( be warned), nothing sold septately bundled deal, no checks, local only, cash only no trades, need cash plz...

If you need money, this is NOT the one way to get it. Anybody interested in an 80GB model for its backwards compatibility, knows it's the least effective one in that regard so charging a ridiculous price in hopes you have gold is ridiculous.

Also, you can't put your smocking preferences out there like that. People have very strong feelings on the issue and maybe a smock enthusiast who would have bought it, won't now.

What's worse than people scamming and looking for "Stadium Events"?
A lowball price war...

Hate to tell this guy that his "perfect shape" NES is probably worth more like $30...
i couldnt help myself, i just had to mess with this guy:

me:uh you DO know that these are only worth like $20 right?

his response: Uh you do know that one sold on ebay with these gmes for 13,000 right? 3 weeks ago

my repsonse: Oh, so does your nintendo also come with a complete boxed copy of the game "Stadium Events" - since that was the ONLY reason that auction went for $13,000?

his repsonse: No.thats why I dropped it $11, 000 off that price... I have had 3 offers over $1000....Mike Tyson Punch out, Tecmo, Super Tecmo..those are HARD games to find....I dont have to sell it..but for 2000 I will...

my (probably final) repsonse:

http://www.videogamepricecharts.com/game/nes/mike-tyson%27s-punch-out
Mike tysons punch out average price $11.25

http://www.videogamepricecharts.com/game/nes/tecmo-bowl

yeah thats where I found the link....I was just looking thru some old pages and saw that one, I couldn't resist messing with the guy. I mean NES's for like $100 is one thing....but $3000??!

I always imagine all these Stadium Events creeps on craigslist are typical flea market sellers; 350 lbs, about 80 years old, wearing overalls that they haven't washed in 25 years, sitting there saying to themselves "These nintender tapes are worth millions! were gonna be rich hurr durr!"

Well, if it means anything, he dropped his price by a whole $1000 since then. ;)

Actually, checking again it's now down to $1000!!! What a bargain!

That must be the same guy from california. Send $400 to his email address and he'll "send" the game. Yeah I'm gonna wire you $400 and hope you don't ignore me forever after that.

Some of the Stadium Events where they lie about having a broken copy, someone should e-mailing them offering them an exchange if they give up the broken copy.

lol, that guy is so full of crap. XD If he's had 3 offers over $1,000, then why has he edited his listing to say he's now selling it for just $1,000 flat? How funny that he was trying to lowball you, haha...

This HAS to be a joke or a typo.

"Nintendo 64 - $5000

Very good condtion. Nothing wrong with it. Comes with all cords necessary for use. Also comes with 8 games, 3 controllers, and a memory card. Im not sure whats on the memory, i just kinda had it. The 8 games are- Diddy Kong Racing, Mario Kart, Mario Golf, Rampage, Donkey Kong, Rugrats, NHL 99, and Nascar. There pretty fun games and your guarenteed to have a killer time playing them. Get it before its gone."

oh its no joke! just do the math:

regular nintendo on ebay: 13,000
- 11,000 (price of stadium events) = 2,000

now think, the N64 is 2 generations newer than the NES (SNES=3,000, N64=4,000). Then add in all those rare and hard to find games for another 1,000 and you got yourself a completely honest and fair deal for a measly $5,000.

Tell me about it, I live in MD and look at craigslist maybe once a week it is that useless.
I found one cool looking CL ad
http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/vgm/1607304748.html
so I email the guy saying I live an hour away but have been looking for an SNES and would travel for a decent price and ask him how much the best offer he has so far.
His response...
$175 WTF!>?:hot:
There must be some idiots or hardcore collectors to pay that much.. but more then likely this guy is just like every other person on the maryland CL and just trying to scam you.
