Yet More Craigslist Stupidity!

Who the hell buys that much Wii crap and still has it practically new?! With the money blown on that a DSLR or Macbook wouldn't have been impossible to just buy
When you buy something and take it home, it already loses half its value.....same thing with cars
Seriously, I loved this part:
Prices that were paid in STORE are in BOLD numbers
Append to that: And you'll be getting RIPPED OFF. It always amazes me that people think their stuff is worth what they paid originally for it. I consider any media (game/movie/etc) to be basically worthless (at least for reselling) once I buy it. Either I want it for keeps or don't want it at all. Makes it much easier to stomach that I about 500 DVD's, most great movies, and some collectibles, but probably not worth even $500 as a lot. I love the movies and they have value to me, but once they are 'off the lot' they lose a lot of the cash value they had.
Title says it all...while it's an awesome bundle..."worth $2,500"??? LOL...don't matter what you paid for it all, buddy. It's what you can get for it...

That stuff looks brand new... so either, there is a video game store that is "missing" about $2500 worth of stuff... or "Bubba" will also be at the meeting place to "exchange" the Wii and Computer.

I collect DVD's too and I usually don't pay much for them. I only buy movies I like. I spend no more then $2-$5 for them. There is one thrift store I go to she has 3 shelves full all for 2 each. I collect mostly horror movies.

I pay no more than $5 for DVD's, but since I have players for HD-DVD/Blu-Ray I've only been buying those, but at $10 or less. I don't have much money anymore so I hardly ever buy movies. I guess I could try to get what I paid for a movie since I do technically pay only $5, but most people buy crappy movies for $20 or more, and then expect that in return.

yeah and I'm the same way, if it's not a movie I like, i don't buy it. It might be worth something to someone else but not me. If it's one of my favorites, I'll grab it because it holds a special place in my heart. Same thing with music CD's or cassettes. (yes, I still have a case full!).

My local SA has cassettes/dvd/vhs really cheap, only like 10 cents to a buck. Mostly crappy movies though although I DID find a MINT complete copy of Nightmare on elm street part 4 for a dollar. Sometimes they'll let you fill a bag of media for like $3 on one of the sale days. Mostly all of the media at my SA like the movies, records, casettes, video games (WHEN they have them), are all boxed and complete so thats good.

-----------------------------

Oh and about buying Wii's or anything brand new off craigslist, I wouldn't really go for it unless it's either LESS then it costs in stores or there's a bunch of extra goodies included. You have no idea if the person stole it from the store or if it's broken or something. Would you buy a Wii off a stranger (with no return policy or recourse), or buy one for the same price brand new at wal-mart with a return policy and/or warranty? It all boils down.

So this shows up in my reader and I'm on it like a wolf, probably before it even appeared on the site:

Nintendo 64 w/a lot of games - $25

nintendo 64 with near 20 games such as perfect dark, rainbow six, body harvest, and tons of other great games to go along with it. includes two controllers and chords.

This is about a 40 minute drive for me, but 20 games, I think - even if they're shit sport games, it's STILL worth the trip! A lot that size, for that price - is worth the risk (historically, on dice rolls like this, I usually win b/c there's one or two gems!)

After e-mailing back and forth (the listing was POSTED just over an hour ago, so we're borderline chatting by e-mail.....in the THIRD e-mail he sends me, he says:

thursday would be best.
whatever time is good for you.
i just recently moved and i lost some of the games.
i only have eight now.

DID YOU NOT fuckING LOOK IN THE BOX BEFORE POSTING!!!!!????

I've now just wasted an hour and been trying to figure out how I was going to make a drive to his location fit into my schedule!

FINAL FANTASY 7 FOR PS1 PERFECT COND.... - $300

FINAL FANTASY 7 FOR PS1 WITH THE MEMORY CARD CALL NOW WONT LAST LONG (phone# removed)

panamared, you from Bmore? Good to see another Baltimoron on the site. :D

Ever since I joined this site I kinda like to browse other areas of craigslist. It seems as though I find a lot of dumb posts on the east coast :)

Actually, I genuinely believe this person is a collector, just hoping to find someone w/something laying around rather than having to pay eBay.

About 1/3-1/2 this list REALLY isn't anything special - shit, if you werre buying from me locally I'd give you some of them for $2.00. And if he was trying to rip people off on expensive games, you'd think he'd have mentioned the DKC's or Mario All Stars...

That or he threw in the cheap ones so people like us DON'T think he's a dealer - but I think it's more likely he's trying to collect the lot.

Someone (I'm too lazy) should put together a list of the games that are worth $7-10 or less and e-mail him asking what he'll pay for them see if he even bother's responding.

I like how he'll buy "ALL" the F-Zero's...Does he mean every copy of it made, b/c I don't remember there being more than one for SNES :p

http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/ele/1058731324.html

This Super Nintendo Entertainment System ( SNES ) console plays as though you're still in the 90s!
I'm selling it with all the cords, controller and it's READY TO PLAY.
I'll throw in a game as well. (Ken Griffey Jr's Major League Baseball)

Extremely rare games I'm selling seperately:
Super Metroid - $30 (excellent condition, plays like new)
Mario Kart - $30 (excellent condition, plays like new)

Rare games:
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters - $20
Clue - $15
Super Black Bass - $15

If you're interested, feel free to e-mail me at [email protected],
or call my cell at (xxx) xxx - 6410

Will someone email this fuckstick and tell him it isn't the 90's anymore so his Super Nintendo system and Ken Griffey, Jr. Baseball isn't worth $100?

And seriously, $30 for what I'm guessing are cart only copies of Super Metroid & Mario Kart? And fuckin' $15 for Clue or Super Black Bass? Aaaarrrrgggghhhh! :hot::hot::hot::hot:

then to just walk to the trash

Here's a winner I just found. I assume this doodoo-head is asking $12 PER GAME, although it never says that in the ad. I wouldn't even pay $12 for that whole lot though...I love how the son has practically every single sports game put out on the PS2...no doubt daddy or mummy bought them at full price, too! Spoiled much?

I bet daddy or mummy also took junior to trade in these stinkers when he got his new PS3 at Gamestop, and didn't like the $.10 values he was quoted per game.

Original Xbox System with Some Games - $200 (Courthouse)

1 original Xbox system for sale and in great condition. I'd keep it, but I just bought an Xbox 360.

Comes with all needed cords, 2 wired controllers, and 3 games, including NFL 2K5, NHL 2K6, and Halo 2.

$200 OBO. Available for immediate pickup.
$200 for an oXbox, two old sports games, and Halo 2? IN FOR 10!

Also the same dude posted earlier, for $250:

So I am selling a mini SNES on CL for $40. A guy emails me "I will pick it up right now for $30." Now, if it was a regular SNES I sure would have sold it for $30, but this is a mini, so I said no. He emails me back "It is for my 8 year old son he really wants a SNES and all we have is $30." Now obviously I am not going to email him "if all you have is $30, you probably should not be spending that on a SNES and should buy dinner tonight" but I was thinking that. I simply replied no. He emails me again "I will have to tell him that you just ruined his day then." I wrote back "While you are at it, tell him Santa doesn't exist."

Now it would be great if I got an email back "hey asshole I saw your thread on CAG..."

Three Playstation 2 games are Need For Speed Underground 2, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004, and Hitman Contracts. Get all 3 for $50 Email with questions, local serious buyers please

So I emailed this person (who know who it could be, most likely some soccer mom). Here is what I wrote:

I'm not sure if you are aware, but those games are only worth about $5 total. Please check out this website: http://www.videogamepricecharts.com/console/playstation-2 Click on the games you are selling and it'll show current pricing. You may not be aware the value of those games, so I'm just giving you a little guidance so we can prevent this from turning into you ripping someone off.

**I'll update if they write back!**

*** Yep, it was some chick. I'm guessing the mother of some kid in his early teens. She was real nice about changing her price so I won't scold her too much :)
