You realize that a lot of people will post those prices expecting you to bargain with them? This is craigslist after all.. if you want to complain about ridiculous prices... some of these are better than the prices wal-mart uses.
 
What's ridiculous are the prices people actually offer when you list something for sale. I don't even bother responding most of the time.
 
I'm still waiting for that guy who was supposed to sell me a super nintendo with Metroid, mario world, drakkhen, un-squadron and some more games for $30 to get back to me. I was emailing with the guy for a few days. First he says he has to go get it at his "brothers house", then the next day he was busy, then the next day he says his car "runs bad in the rain, the system and the games is in my truck", then he says to email him sunday. I email him asking if we can finally get this deal over with and I don't hear back. 9PM rolls around and and email pops up. He says "I can meet you on tomorrow (monday). So I wait by my email for a half a day eating some easter dinner and no emails, no calls, nothing. Talk about a time-waster. I bet he didn't even have any of the stuff he was telling me about. Maybe in a week he'll start emailing me again, when he does I might just tell him to go take a hike. That's what happens when you are to patient I guess. Maybe the system got wet in the rain and broke.

Never give craigslist sellers/buyers slack on the rope. If you do, shit like this will happen. :roll:

I realize that it says OBO, but:
1. The ridiculously high price is going to turn the majority of people off
2. Like Noobhammer stated even $100 is too much. IMO it's worth $70 at most
3. probably only get $50 at Gamestop for this

A. You could buy a used PS2 for $50 and get a mod chip and somebody to install it for $60+$110

I figured...but i didn't want to underestimate, since I don't really trade games at GS. My best guess is for three of those games GS would give you around $8 and $2.00 each for the rest
 
I read an ad yesterday that was for a 360 elite, hd-dvd player, and like 10 games. The stupid part was that the guy says "please no low-ball offers. I paid SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS for this."

Nah, I doubt that, because 60 gigs are long gone from stores. Remember, those are the most wanted ones because they are just about fully backwards compatible and have the most robust features, many of which are long gone.

Hey may have stolen one or found one or whatever, but he definitely wants to maximize his return via the 60 gig box. But I'm still thinking he'd probably put a stripped down 40 gig (taking out the hard drive) with no cables or controller into the box and try to resell it as a 60 gig to some unsuspecting shmuck, or worse - put a brick or two in the box and try to seal it and sell it as brand new.
 
I have alot of things up on craigslist right now (not junk either), everything priced under the 50 dollar mark and I've gotten NO responses at all. Seeing lots of people trying to sell things for crazy prices/insane markdowns. It's like there's only sellers and no buyers.

Maybe everybody's broke, or it could be because of all the lowballers, the economy, etc. After wading through all the crap, I'll tell you it's a buyers market out there right now.

Funny thing is if I posted any of this shit in the free section, I'd get hundreds of emails about it.
 
One of the ways I support my video game buying habit is by selling stuff I have lying around that I don't need/want/sick of looking at.

This is actually the going price for a heavy sixer. It's one of the early releases of the 2600 that was made in California and came with RF shielding. $150 is kind of on the high side but not totally ridiculous. I sold a MIB one years ago for $700.

Heh, I just had a craiglist post of mine flagged for no good reason. I picked up an extra DSi on release day in case my wife wanted it. We didn't even open it. I bought it with Best Buy gift cards that I buy at a 20% discount, so I decided to try listing it on CL for a week before returning it. I actually had it listed at below the retail cost. There was nothing wrong with my post. I guess some dickhead who was jealous of my price decided to flag me off. I would have never thought anyone would be such an asshole until I read about some of you guys doing this exact thing.

As proof that the DSi is in such low demand, I only got two nibbles on my post during the week it was up and both asshats lowballed me despite my price being below retail for a new in sealed box system. I ended up just returning it to the store.
