I know this is a games only type deal but I saw some nice craigs drama I wanted to share. This was the last post of an internet war between people arguing through craigslist postings about a laptop's cost.

Here's a little tip for you, and all the other people who think they can sell their 5 year old 2003 celeron (SLOW AS SHIT) laptop with a regular cd-drive and a crappy 20 gig hard drive (less after the OS is installed, LMAO!) for the same price as a 2009 Core 2 Duo machine:

IMO this is the problem with Craigslist. It would be great if people only posted reasonable deals, you could simply spend a little time each day checking the site and snapping up deals when you saw them.

But the damn site is bloated with scammers and idiots thinking they can sell their electronics for 10 times what they're worth. The scammers are bad enough but the neanderthals who don't understand depreciation are the worst.
 
^ The absurd prices don't bother me since I just ignore them. I suppose once in a while someone will hit the jackpot and sell their listing, but I'm guessing most of the time they'll just keep on relisting at the same price for months on end before finally either lowering the price or just giving up. If the buyer is stupid enough not to shop around, than he or she gets what's coming to them. But that idiot selling the 360 HD-DVD addon a few pages back just has to take the cake with his line of (non) thinking.

If you think you can actually get more for your item than it's worth, then you should go for it. See if anyone else is selling what you have, and if so, just price below their overpriced listing.

Just for kicks, I looked up PS3 Endwar Bluetooth bundle, and sure enough, there are not one but two people who live in the neighborhood of that Target selling it for $50 new and $60 new, respectively. A third person is apparently keeping the game and just trying to sell the Blutooth. Then again, it's like $80 something at Best Buy.
 
Haha...I love the commentary from the browsers. I know there's a limit to what your pride would allow you to do but sometimes you have to bite the bullet and get what you can for your really old stuff. I don't know what's worse, computers/parts or cars. Nothing like a car that's in great condition(their wording), and only needs a water pump, brakes, tires, rotors, etc etc. I actually browse the cars for pure comedic value.

You know, for some of these overpriced items, there's no harm in trying to see who bites (not counting HD-DVD add-on psycho). It is free afterall. I got way more for my Gamecube and game collection, and Rock Band 1, than I thought I would. Granted, that was a couple years ago.

Despite people actually having the internet in order to buy stuff from Craigslist, a lot of them don't make the effort to actually use the internet to price shop.

If nothing else, it doesn't hurt to see who else is selling what you have in your area, and even if it's overpriced, offer a cheaper deal. Just seeing the lowest price on Craiglist -- even if it's still a ripoff -- might be enough for someone to bite on it.
 
a PS1 for sale with tons of games - $150



I got a PS1 that was only use for my 8 yr old son. It has everything it need to hook up to a TV and comes with 2 paddles and these games Harry potter (chamber of secrets) , Legacy of Kain Soul Reauer, Team Rocket Rescue(Rocket Power), Bratz( My daughters game) , Spyro, Austin Powers Pinball, and SpongeBob Squarepants.

Sure is a lot of games.

He does deserve to get something back for them. Though it's a rip off charging more for a hacked Wii. Though I'm not familiar with how to do it, unless he spent money to do it, he shouldn't be charging $400 for it. His prices for games aren't that bad. $47 for Chrono Trigger and $35 for Secret of Mana? I'd take that.

Generally, Virtual Console games don't make a Wii worth more.

So? He gets a gold star and a Wii that's not worth more than market value. i'm not paying more because someone downloaded a bunch of games I may or may not want, and I'm sure I'm not alone in this.

but if it's "hacked", couldn't he have dumped those on there for free? (sorry, not really sure what you can do with a modded Wii).
