Okay, so a while back in the craigslist finds thread, I posted about a MONSTER score I missed out on, some guy selling apparently complete SNES games including Earthbound and Chrono Trigger and all sorts of other rares, complete, for $50 for the lot. Also a PS1 with lots of high value games, also $50 for the lot.
Well, the dude emailed me back and says he sold the two bundles for $75 the day he listed it, and that he has a Nintendo NES and games that he can't find, but if he does do i want it for $50? Sure, depends on the games. Well he sent me the list and needless to say, my eyes nearly popped out of my head when I saw some of the rarities. And apparently they were all complete. So I say I'll pick it up for his asking price any time, and then he gives me the run around and says "his friend told him lots of the games are rare so he's not going to sell them."
Okay, fair enough, but since he's been dicking me around, I decide to let him in on the secret of how badly he got butt

ed on the SNES and PS1, if indeed that even happened.
Here is the original ad...check out that list of games

Hi, if you still have them, I will take both the Playstation and Super Nintendo bundles. Please let me know at your convenience. I can pick it up tomorrow any time you'd like; I've got the cash and won't flake. Thanks in advance.

His response:
Hi,
I'm sorry but everything was sold for $75 late last night. If I do find the Nintendo would you be interested? I know there are a bunch of mega man games, super mario games, zelda games, ninja games, volleyball, golf, mike tyson, baseball games, california raisin, ghostbusters, adventure island games, etcc...there are probably about 30 in all. I'll let that bundle go for $50 also, or make an offer.
------------------
Me:
Sure, I'd be interested in the Nintendo NES. I love the old games. Thanks!

Him:

. I'll be in the Hollywood area tonight, so let me know... Thanks!

Him:
I just got a tip from one of my friends that a few of these games are collectible. I think I'm gonna keep this stuff now, sorry.
--------------------
I'm obviously not happy at this point, and decide to give this clown "Uncle Bugs" ("Uncle Bugs" [email protected]) a bit of information about his alleged transaction:
That's cool man, thanks anyway.
Too bad your friend didn't tip you off about the Super Nintendo and Playstation bundle you gave away for $75. Assuming that deal actually went down, the Earthbound cart alone was worth what you were paid total. If that game was complete with the original big box and user guide, it's worth around $200 all by itself.
Most of the Super Nintendo games you gave away were worth an easy $20 each alone (many were worth much more than that), even if they were cartridge only. And Ogre Battle and Final Fantasy 7 for the Playstation 1 were each worth well over the $50 you were asking for that bundle, among many other gems.
------------------
So now, his final response...the epitome of craigslist stupidity. Good luck getting the guy to give them back to you (if that transaction ever even took place...it's just too good to be true in my book). Just as they say, caveat emptor - "let the buyer beware", we must also say, "the sale is done". Let the seller get a clue:
Ah man are you serious? Yeah, all the games had their packaging and were in great shape. I'm gonna contact the guy who bought it all and demand my games back. My favorite games were the mega mans, and now i see I could have gotten like a grand for all that stuff.
