on the raleigh one we have the asshats who spread lies about getting your in warranty consoles repaired. saying it takes 2-3 months to get your 360 repaired and cost 300 and how usually they dont work when they come back, how nintendo doesnt do repairs, how its 400 for a yellow light of death ps3 to be repaired. but they will do it for the ultra low price of 50-150 and only if they can flash your console (not all but most) and then they sell burnt games for anywhere from 3-30. usually theres one guy with games that arent out for a couple of weeks listed. oh and stay away from [email protected] will charge 50 to "repair" your system and then never let you pick it up

..."or simply give me your credit card details." wtf? You can also pay this guy for his Halo Recon armor via paypal...though, tbh, I don't know anyone that has $173,000 in the paypal account. People that I know that are well off don't use craigslist either to shop for deals.

words fail me.

if you're gonna make a fake ad, use a more credible picture and better grammer.

Man... you guys thought I was gone.... BTW ... I have been here a year and can't do a custom title... help me...

But as far as craigslist stupidity....

http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/ele/1378093057.html

GAMECUBE - $220

Black system
barely used
has no controls but they still sell them in stores
its a good investment to buy a game cube:)
its missing the 3 color wires that hook up to tv but
if you have a ps2 or anything like it those wires will work
its a good gift to give to anyone hours of fun is a promise
memory card sold seperately

No controls... no wires.... I wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't one of us seeing how long it would take to get posted in the thread. If not... fuck

Don't you question the posts with people who put stuff up for like $2 like a video game for $4. Yeah, I'm gonna waste gas driving miles for a $5 video game. You're right diosoth, it's absolutely pointless to sell stuff for so cheap like that. Unless the persons house is walking or biking distance.

yea...wwe day of reckoning for gamecube is over $70+tax and shipping.

Depends, really. Most buyers won't reimburse gas costs. I live just far enough away from Cincinnati that it costs me $8 in gas to get there and back. It used to cost half that, but it seems the quality of gasoline sold by the stations has gone down a LOT.

If it's a $40 sale I don't mind so much but spending that gas to sell a $10 item means I wasted a couple hours and some of our planet's limited fuel supply to make pretty much nothing.

Though I don't think it's unfair to ask they come to me. Their travel expense should be the same as paying online shipping costs. I know I'll kill potential sales this way, but hey, it's my decision.

It can be a hindrance to selling a game console, though, as I only meet in public. But I'm not allowing a stranger into my home.

I have had people ask me to make a deal by mail even for local sales. $2 first class shipping would be cheaper... but I'll stick to in-person deals. I'd rather the person see the goods in person then pay cash. Much less hassle overall.

If you are getting that much worse milage than before, you need to get a tuneup/oil change at the very least.

fuck that......I guess if your desperate for money why not? I couldn't do it (anymore). Re-posting a $10 item every few days and taking endless emails.

Wahhhhh wahhhhh the people who are selling this stuff cheap should hand deliver it to us too, so we don't lose out on any EGay profits by having to drive to their houses.

You guys are fuckin' ridiculous(you n Diosoth)in that you expect the sellers to bend over backwards for you by absorbing the gas costs. You expect them to make NOTHING on their stuff and then you can sell them on Ebay for full profit.

I've told more than a few people to get bent when they wanted me to deliver shit to bum fuck egypt before for below my asking price, which had me losing money.

I completely agree. fuck delivering a $5 item.

I've delivered a $5 item a few times. The buyer is slightly handicapped, older, and just a bit off my usual drive. And very nice too. Not everything is about money.

But when it is.... they can come here for it!
http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/vgm/1408051207.html

lol ... what an incredible value ...
Good luck to that guy. I couldn't move a PS1 with controller, mem card, and Final Fantasy Tactics for $10 on CL in SF. I was moving and trying to get rid of it. I ended up leaving the system on the curb and taking just the game since it was really the only valuable part of the bundle and takes up no space.

I've never driven more than 5 miles for a sale on Craigslist. Someone asks to meet halfway somewhere and I bump the price up by at least $5. I'm not desperate enough to sell something to have to go deliver 20+ miles away. The only time I've driven anywhere was when this dude was giving away a free computer desk from IKEA. Saved about $30 not buying the same one. :D

Yeah I tend to stay in my area and not go too far. There were two exceptions, for each I drove about 30-45 minutes each way:

CIB Steel Battalion for $25.
N64 and 15 games including a mint Ogre Battle 64 with mint manual for $50.

There is a mad dash here in Vegas of people trying to sell Wii's for $200-300... including the FIVE games... :) I actually emailed one that told me the old dried up... "Well, I paid $300 for mine, and that's what I am selling it for..."fuck

watch out for this guy, he's from out of state, and doesnt even pay massachusetts taxes on the stuff he sells at the RAYNHAM flea. all the stuff he sells, he buys for penny's, and resells them for 10 times what he pays.he tells people there stuff isnt worth anything, and resells it for HUGE profits. someone should probably call the I.R.S. on this guy. ROW H RAYNHAM FLEA-MARKET
