Wow, this is find of the year for me -

Just got back from Gamestop, Yggdra Union for Gameboy Advance is only $19.99 BRAND NEW. Amazing deal... Botticus sent me this link that you can use to check your store availability since this game has disappeared off EB / GS's website -

http://www.gamestop.com/productavai...forms=GBA&sbox=160726a.jpg&status=BO&bn=False

You change the zip= to whatever your zip code is. This method worked perfectly for me, got the last copy at an EB thanks to this link.

$20 new is awesome, these things are at least $40 new on Ebay last I checked.

I know it's the same price as the used one but the girl scanned the new sticker on the box, tagged at $29.99 rang up at $19.99.

www .gamestop. com/productavail.asp?miles=10&sku=160726&zip=XXXXX&product_name=Yggdra+Union+%2D+Used&platforms=GBA&sbox=160726a%2Ejpg&status=BO&bn=False

There you go. Just take out the spaces in www.gamestop.com (and the few others it added in there for some reason - "pro duct_name" and "sbox ="), and put your zip in place of the XXXXX.

Yes, it will still say "Used," but you can make it say whatever you want by changing the product_name param. The SKU is all that matters. Save the link for future reference, perfect way of checking any product availability when it vanishes from the site.

Yea, I'm talking about brand new, *not* used. Unfortunately, the CAG affiliate part of this deal is killing the link that Botticus got for me, which is the only way I know of to check stock since this game has vanished off the website.

Listen to Botticus, he's exactly right, and it's how I found my copy.

Good find. And good game to boot. Picked it up during the Google Checkout days. Ah, there were wonderful, refusing to pay MSRP for any game-- with perfectly good reason too.

That gives me the same results as the used link another user psoted a few posts up. So are these used or new?

Using the link Botticus provides, it says used, but it is for new copies - he's using the right SKU, because I compared it to the one on my receipt, they are identical, and the used and new links provided different results for me.

The EB I found mine at had no clue they even still stocked the game, but it was there, she said it must have been there for at least a year and I was the first person to call about it

Alright, gotcha. It actually gives me different results stick in 20 miles, just the 10 mile radius (only 3 stores) were the same.

Looks like the closest store to me has 1-3 new ones in stock. :whistle2:k

I think people will be surprised at just how many EB's actually still have this game - I sure as hell was.

awesome thanks for the tip, my local store has a few, i'll pop by tomorrow and check. this heatwave sucks..

Ha, you people and your 10 mile radius . I only get 1 store in that range. Expanding it to 25 gives me a bunch more though. It looks like the store I was going to try the trade 2 Wii games deal at tonight has 1-3 in stock. Cool, I like having multiple reasons to drive 16 miles (each way) ;). Plus there's a Gamecrazy over there somewhere.

Great game you will spend probally around 30 hours playing it then comes the

AWFUL ending.

dont ask me why they ended this great game like this, the ending was just plan awful

how do you post spoliers again

Ha, I only needed 10 miles, because there are 9 stores in that 10 miles ;)
besides what is this game about?

edit: to make a spoiler its
thanks forgot how to do the tags.

If anyone wonders why i think the ending is lame click below

its a great game BUT its just a lame ending

the ending is very lame. you just keep throwing people at the final boss until the boss has 1 hp left then you play i think the cruader card and boom game is over...

you will never win one fight against the boss and the only way to beat the boss is to keep tossing people at it till the boss has 1 hp ... you will lose every single fight. What i did was i just left the room and came back every few mins to throw another person at it .

I might get it, but I'm not sure if I'll ever play it (I've somewhat phased out the GBA). This price is very tempting though.

Still need to pick up Super Robot Taisen 2 at EB though.

Just picked up Yggdra Union, but no dice on Riviera. I think I remember some stores that still have it new, should check those before they disappear.

For GBA games I don't really care about open/sealed, as long as it comes complete. I plan on converting all my GBA games to DS cases anyway. They look better.

So I'm assuming you also got it for $19.99, then? Since so far I'm the only one who's nailed it for $20, would be good to have extra confirmation ;)

Riviera actually dropped to $10 new a long time ago. I got mine over a year and a half ago.

And it is a card game, but the cards are for movement (its an SRPG), not for battle - though the card you use can potentially be used in battle. But its very hard to lose by running out of cards, which was my worst fear. Finally broke it open after buying it at release, stuck at around battle 16 out of 48, 10 hours in.

I just got it for $19.99 as well, at the Roosevelt location. Thanks again, botticus and Roufuss! :D

Awesome, glad to see they had a copy and I was able to help you and some others out ;)

It's funny, I was waiting for this to drop to $20 for a long time, I figured it never would, so I go out to pay $30 and wouldn't you know, it's $20 ;)

It's so weird that the used and new are the same exact price though.

I saw it for $20 at one GS last week. But, they only had two copies left and they were open. I didn't really care as I've had the game since release. I made a note of it in the "price drop" sticky...that and along with two other Atlus titles.

About the Riviera pricedrop...I bought the last copy at a GS near me and I was still charged $30 for it. I didn't really mind since it was the last copy and the game is rare and a little expensive to get complete. The only sucky thing was that the sticker was the old EBGames sticker...so when I peeled it off it a took a little of the box with it.

Even if the price sticker says one thing, but the game has a price drop, does it depend where the salesguy scans the price? Either the price sticker or the SKU on the back?

Roo, thanks for the info, and botticus, for that great link.
Ha, you people and your 10 mile radius . I only get 1 store in that range. Expanding it to 25 gives me a bunch more though.
Lightweight. I do a 100 radius for a good enough game.

Well,, I went to the GS 16 miles away and did the 2 Wii games trade-in deal AND got a sealed Yggdra Union.
Hey, what's the SKU for Riviera New? I wanna make sure I remembered correctly before I go a-hunting.
The sticker on my aforementioned (still-sealed ) Riviera says 2561504 on the UPC, I believe (if that's correct, my memory is awesome). But if that's accurate (seems one digit too long), EB.com doesn't have it in its memory banks anymore, from when I checked last night.

Ok, so is there a site that you can find the sku's for games? For example I'd like to know the sku for Super Robot Taisen, maybe it's long gone, but it would be cool to be able to find the sku so I can use that link? Also what differentiates that link from being for a new game vs a used game. It definately gives me different results but I see the "+used" in the address. But lets say I can't find any new games using the link, what if I wanted to search for used?

But lets say I can't find any new games using the link, what if I wanted to search for used?
1) The "+Used" is there because I created that link from the still-available used Yggdra Union link on the site. You can make that "Yggdra+Union+Uber+Deluxe+CE" if you want, and it'll still show you the same results. ;)

So for the used Yggdra, it's on the site. Otherwise, the only way to find SKUs is to have someone at the store look it up for you, or do a Google search of gamestop.com, find an old search page that has the game listed, looked at the cached results, and pull the SKU off the page.

2) I can't find SRT anywhere, so let's use SRT2 as an example:

Here's the used page (copy and paste for best results): http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=915036

Doing a Google Search for SRT2: http://www.google.com/search?q=%22super+robot+taisen%22+site:ebgames.com&hl=en&start=10&sa=N

Third result, "Cached" link: http://216.239.51.104/search?q=cache:rMH7cLwfHgYJ:www.ebgames.com/search.asp%3Fcookie_test%3D1%26N%3D41%2B106%26Ns%3DTitle%257C1+%22super+robot+taisen%22+site:ebgames.com&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=13&gl=us

SKU for SRT2 new on that page shows 160744. Plug that in as the SKU in the product availability link and you're set.

Sweet. I'll have to do that in the future. I book marked the link. I went to a Gamestop earlier that had Yggdra Union and Etrian Oddysey in stock and I picked those up, but to my surpise, they had SRT as well for 19.99. They had SRT2 as well, but I already had that. They also had the two Summon Nights and Riviera, but I already had those as well. As far as Riviera goes, it was marked 24.99 which I thought was strange, since I think I got that quite a while ago for 19.99.

Thanks again for the info though, I will be sure to use that link trick in the future if the game has dissapeared from the site.

Dammit... how'd I miss this? I traded a mint/complete Einhander for this just a few weeks ago.

Oh well, I'm pretty sure my GS/EB were sold out of it new anyway.

Meh, checked out one of the stores that supposedly had it in stock with no good results... Will check other stores today (hopefully...).
