Jimmy Electric

CAG Veteran
I was at the Boardman, OH Wal Mart today and they had a bin full of 19.82 games, found one copy of enternal sonata for 19.82 good lcuk to everyone looking for this game at there local wal marts
ok then....
Here's more CAG lingo: What's up with YMMV, B&M, and all this other crazy lingo? We are not just cheap, but lazy too! We use the following acronyms here: AC = After coupon AR = After rebate BB = Best Buy B&M = Brick and mortar (ie the actual store, not online) CAG = Cheap Ass Gamer (the site or a user) CC = Circuit City CML = Check My List CSR = Customer Service Representitive DOA = Dead on arrival (deal never was attainable) DEAD = Deal has ended FAR = Free after rebate FS/FT = For Sale / For Trade GGC = Gamer Gift Card (at Best Buy) GH = Greatest Hits (PS2 budget game line) MIR = Mail in rebate OOS = Out of stock OP = Original poster PC = Player's Choice (GC budget game line) PH = Platinum Hits (XBox budget game line) PM = Private Message (sometimes Price Match, check context) PO = Pre-owned TRU = Toys R Us YMMV = Your mileage may vary (deals may not be good at all locations

YES! I printed out the reciept and took it to nearby Walmarts... the first one didn't accept the price match, but the second one in Bloomingdale, IL had a cool employee who accepted the pricematch! 20$ for Eternal Sonata is one helluva deal.

could you print your reciept?
I call Shenanigans
How can this POSSIBLY be shenanigans? Everyone knows Walmart is YMMV, so it isn't the OPs fault. And he even posted his receipt to prove/help everyone.

I agree that there are specks of shenanigans on this one. BUT, the reciept is there. I'm gonna try this one out this week at a couple of WM's. I just hate WM though.
I call Shenanigans
I swear to God, I'll pistol whip the next guy who says "Shenanigans."

....ahem. Yeah, I still need to check it out and see if Eternal Sonata is at Wal-Mart.
could you print your reciept?
I too would appreciate this.

Alright some of you have been here for over a year and should know how Walmart deal works. Walmart markdown like this are usually up to the individual store. And if something this new getting significant price drop, 99% of the time it is not universal.

Holy poop, I'm right in that area. Any more of those left? Knowing Wal-mart I could walk in and get rejected by 4 other people there.
Op, Pulease combine these numerous Wally YMMV threads into to one thread....it's really getting old
I'd vote against that, it's kind of important to see each "deals" individual successes, and having multiple YMMV deals in the same thread (unless it's an ad), is somewhat confusing when CAGs reply.
What I want to know is what was the $10 360 game that is also on the receipt?
I'm guessing Mass Effect...

Once again, all of CAG goes running around trying to get an obviously YMMV Walmart deal.

Congrats to the OP getting it, though the only way anyone could get this deal for themselves without question would be going back to that same WM in question.

I also Live in Boardman, Ohio. If its in the bin maybe i'll pick one up for a buddy, since I already have it.
I also Live in Boardman, Ohio. If its in the bin maybe i'll pick one up for a buddy, since I already have it.
Hey buddy...how've you been? How's the family? Long time no see...;)

Went after work yesterday but the CS line was SOOOOOOOOO long to try the price match would have been an hour. Price was the usual, still in the glass display cases.

I have a patient who I saw works at Walmart (found this out as I was walking out) so I may ask her to see about it this week...

So I was just at a Walmart and they don't have a 'bargain bin' at the one I was at. They have a shelf with $19 games on it. Basically a bunch of PS2, PSP, and a few 360 games. I didn't see a spot for Eternal Sonata in their glass cases so its possible they might've just discounted the last few they had to get rid of them.

I realize I'm a bit late on this but I wish OP had said that there were more at the Walmart he went to. I'd drive to Boardman for $20 Eternal Sonata.
Holy poop, I'm right in that area. Any more of those left? Knowing Wal-mart I could walk in and get rejected by 4 other people there.
I think they had a couple left... there wasn't a tag on it that said 19.92 though, you have to ask for a PM.

As for the receipt, I'll try to see if I can use my friend's scanner.

Ha Ha Super Troopers

Love it! :applause:

I was at WM in Westbury, NY. It took 40 minutes to get help. Whoever took the key for their stupid cases, vanished. Finally got some one to pricescan through the glass. No go. Regular price.

Well Christ, I live 10 minutes from Boardman, OH and saw that bin probably 2 days before OP posted this and walked right by it without looking at it.

Guess my lesson is to always check that bin when I'm there from now on :p

And for the people who called the store from the number on the receipt, everyone that works in Electronics at that location are assholes. I went there to get Rock Band at midnight on it's release, they made us wait til 12:30 before telling us they "lost" their xbox 360 bundles, and only had PS3 ones. Their staff is even worse than a typical Wal Mart..

These walmart deals are never at more than one store, or a few local stores. People should know that by now.

My Walmart had no copies of Eternal Sonata. I wanted to get it for my wife. She really liked the demo. She doesn't like anything but Arcade games, ES & Bioshock. Weird!
She doesn't like anything but Arcade games, ES & Bioshock. Weird!
What the hell is wrong with her!?

Yeah, I've been hoping it pops up cheap too because I'd like to play it. Seeing as how a lot of people here seem to like it or its highly sought after (on the cheap of course!)

As an update to my earlier posts, I returned to the NN, VA WM, spoke to the manager who'd promised a price match, and was denied by him and the store manager. That's how it goes.

Cheers,

I finally made my way to the Boardman, Walmart after work. They didnt have Eternal sonata in the bin($19), but they had Rogue Galaxy, Tales of Legendia, Valkryie Profile 2, Armored Core 4 and Disgea 2.

VP2 rung up as 29.99, but if you bitch they should give it to you for $19. I was gonna buy all 4-5 copies of VP2 and resell on ebay in 6 months, but I didnt feel like being a dick at 9am.

so uhh the person who "supposedly" called walmart and said the price would be universal was lying?

I CALL A LYNCHING RIGHT NOW! lol

I second that notion.
Thank you;)

I called back again at my local walmart. If there will be a price drop, it will happen after 7:00A.M. when the day shift settles in. Let's cross our fingers!
THIS MAN MUST BE LYNCHED AND BURNED
THIS MAN MUST BE LYNCHED AND BURNED
Umm.. He said IF there will be a universal price drop, it would happen at the specified time (probably the same time things get updated each week)
Umm.. He said IF there will be a universal price drop, it would happen at the specified time (probably the same time things get updated each week)
actually he did confirm it, please read ahead

I still think he should be getting some sort of punishment leading us toward to our walmart with this but whatever what's done is done, close thread please MOD

I don't think i've ever seen a thread be more dead and still have it's corpse dragged on and on and on. It's kinda sad. This thread is dead DED dead.

Well, I don't wanna read the rest.
But I can confirm.
Found one copy, but it was opened. (Stolen)
Jerks didn't wanna do a stock check or tell me if any other Wal-Mart had any.

This was at the Mtv. Wal-Mart.

Went Yesterday.
Bought some Christmas stuff, was 75%

Also,
Grimmore was in the bin.
So was Rogue Galaxy.

Most of the rest was sports games.
Bin is in the back, by the HDTV's, if your walking to the TV'S, on the left side of the DVD isle.

I'm not exactly meaning to bump this, but I can confirm my local Wal-Mart does NOT have it... but I did see the 360 Popcap Arcade Collection for $19.82 there, on a shelf(but not behind glass). It beats Target's price of $29.99 atleast.
