Your most annoying Halo 2 experience....

I disagree with some of the stuff you say. I mean a 12 year old kid can be a leader of a team too. SO what hes only 12, if he knows how to play halo good then he can be a leader of any party. And if you dont believe me try playing Murc hes only 14 and he's a pretty good leader.
I'm not saying they CAN'T be leaders, my point is that whenever people hear that little squeaky pre-pubescent voice they usually laugh instead of paying attention to what he's saying. If you haven't hit puberty yet you're better off turning on voice masking.
Voice masking is much more annoying lol Ok that will be mine when a person talks shit like "man you just got your ass beat and you suck" Or when people use voice masks.

The only thing that annoys me are people getting annoyed by the game. ;)

Seriously, though most of the idiots don't bother me. I get pissed by cheaters, but honestly that doesnt' happen to me much or at least they're terrible at it and we still win. Or maybe I'm terrible and don't even notice, who knows.

I do think people need to lighten up. I've played with some people on here that are pretty tense. I generally like the mouthy opponents cause I like to get them stirred up.

Its probably the people that are way too into it that bother me more than anything. The ones that beat your ass and seem way too proud of it, not like talk smack proud, but like they won a gold medal or something.

The primate behavior kinda sucks, but you get that everywhere so I like irritating them back as much as I can. Lack of communication is the only thing that bothers me a bit with my buddies.

Playing with Nick Zero is the most disgusting thing about the whole experience though. :)

Actually, when I think about it there is one thing that does really irritate me to the point I don't even wanna play. It is when people accuse you of cheating just cause you're winning. Every since the cheats became wide spread. I'd say at least one in three games we win results in the other team ranting about reporting us for cheating. I usually report them for harassment.
I hate the Plasma Pistol/Battle Rifle Combo. And by "Plasma Pistol" I'm referring to the green Covenant weapon you charge up. The combo sucks. The thing I've always loved about Halo is how much balance their is in everything. It's like rock-paper-sissors, only on a bigger level. Everything has it's weakness. Plasma Pistol/Battle Rifle seems way overpowered, and it just pisses me off.
LOL, I just started playing this again a few days ago. I hadn't played since January and I noticed a lot of people using that combo.

Does the cheating occur more in the Team game? I play single player for the most part and haven't noticed any cheating.

I hate that Bungie calls their Mathcmaking game mode Optimatch. It's not. Every Xbox game that I've played on Live, if it includes Optimatch, works generally the same way. You specify what type of game you want to play, either generally or specifically. Maybe you want to play CTF. Maybe you want to play a game only on specific boards. Maybe you want to play a Team Slayer game with no more than 10 people in it. In every other XboxLive game that I've played, you choose your game parameters, XboxLive shows you what games are currently forming which match your criteria, and you choose the one which best mattches your preferences. Good luck trying to get into a CTF game on Headlong with Halo2. The first night that the game came out, my friend and I went out to get the game, excited, and were like, OK, let's do some CTF. We coudln't get into one, except maybe every 6th or 7th games. Personally, I'm not interested in being on people's friends list in order to plan time together to find games. I'm not interested in playing 5 game modes that I don't enjoy to get to the one that I do. I'm not interested in playing 3 games that I don't enjoy, building up a party, and then forming a custom game. There are ALREADY custom games out there that people are playing right now, which I'd be interested in jumping in on, but I can't see them, merely because I'm not on the friends list of someone in the game. Why they decided to do Matchmaking instead of Optimatch, I'll never know. It should have been in addition to it. That they still call it optimatch is the worst part.

Little kids who use voice masks. They don't sound older, they just sound annoying.

People on your own team who want a particular weapon, and communicate their desire to you by shooting you as you get close to it, trying to distract you for long enough to grab it themself. As far as I'm concerned, if I jump into a game where one of my teammates starts shooting me, he's trying to interest me in a new game of "shoot your teammates", and I happily oblige him. I'll waste half of that game following him around, and trying to shoot him enough to bring him down to zero health/shields, but not quite enough to kill him.

Team Slayer. I hate it. When I jump into Big Team Battle, it's because I'm looking for CTF games, but don't have that as a menu option. If I wanted to play Team Slayer, I'd choose that option for Team Slayer. I quit out, every time. EVERY time.

Cheaters. I had one game that I played, CTF in Zanzibar, where the other team used a warthog dummying glitch to score a point. It was the only point they got, and we beat them by scoring twice, legitimately, then rubbed it in their faces during the aftergame. Reported the cheaters, then jumped into a new game, and WTF?? The two guys who were warthog glitching were suddenly on my team. They were talking about doing it again, so I grabbed the ghost and just shot the hell out of our own Warthog, blowing it up. And again. And a third time. Eventually, by the 4th time it respawned and they were trying to dummyglitch again, I must have killed them too many times, because I got booted from the game for betraying them. Oh, yea, I also hate that if your teammates are cheating, and you're an honest player, your choices are either to try and tell the other team ("Hey, red team don't shoot, I'm trying to let you know that my t-" BLAM! BLAMBLAMBLAMBLAM! -You were killed by XXXXXXXX-) or to betray them until you get ejected from the match.

I've seen teammates guard a flag capture all the way back to base, then betray their teammate so that they can take the flag and score. That's low.

Me. I'm annoying. If I kill you in game, I'll try to say something appropriately annoying, like "Buh-buyyyyy" or "Eradicator!". If I grab your vehicle off you, I'll scream out "MINE!" like a spoiled kid fighting with their sibling. :)

 1. Cheaters. Not only cheaters, but people who don't know the difference between skill/knowing the map/game and exploiting glitches. Throwing the flag through the gate in Zanzibar is okay with me because the flag should physically fit between the bars in the gate. Pulling a flag through a wall or dummy glitching a flag back to their base is not cool.
 2. Quitters. I almost hate it worse than cheating. If you quit a team game, it hurts your rating worse than staying in the whole game. It's worst in Team Skirmish, but it happens in Team Slayer and Big Team Battle, especially when your team is down. If you can't stand to take a loss, don't play the game.
 3. Players in team games who play for themselves. Like the sniper who will do anything to get his rifle and then proceed to go collect medals instead of defending the base or covering his teammates. If someone "steals" my kill, I'm okay with that since they're covering me, which is good teamwork in my book. Standing by and watching me die, or betraying me to get my weapon, or calling me or a moron or screaming at me for not being perfect or following some asshat's barked orders is not cool.
 4. Bungie's Matchmaking. Quickmatch is a joke since it just uses the last matchmaking list you played. Optimatch is a misnomer and works nothing like any other XBL game. It's great that it allows jerks and cheaters to find a game so easily. I hate that it doesn't allow you to pick the game you want to play (e.g. Classic CTF on Headlong). It would be great if you could start a custom game and have it published in a public list of games open for players, like every other game's Optimatch. Having a clan or friends to play with is the only saving grace of the system.
 5. The Feedback System. It doesn't allow any options to report people who quit games or are team killers or racists or who are generally being jerks. The fact that Microsoft doesn't explain how it works makes it even more frustrating. I need some kind of immediate gratification and some feeling of justification that no one will have to experience the grief I just went through.
:argue: :boxing: :twoguns: :fridge: :bomb: :headache: :dunce: :whistle2:#

my most annoying experience was when i was playing team slayer with 3 friends (we were all around level 14 at the time) and it sets us up with like.. a couple of 11's or 12's and a 3. I look at the players list and overall they're all around lvl 40. So basically one guy on their team gets the sword and if me or any of my friends even saw an opponent, it would go to the blue screen and we'd all be dead when we came back.

Not only were they cheating, afterwards they were talking shit and talkin about how they didnt care if we reported them because nothing was gonna happen.

Maybe I'm just too thin-skinned, but pretty much everything mentioned here pisses me off to no end.

Talking shit - If you feel the need to say "bitch" whenever you get a kill, you deserve to be ostracized from humanity.

Cheating, then talking shit - Please. You pressed a fucking button on your router. You are not leet. Cheating without talking is annoying enough too, but I find solace with the hope that they will eventually be raped out of their Live subscription by Microsoft.

That one awesome guy on your team that tells you how much you and the rest of the team sucks - Wait a minute, he's not awesome at all. I tell these people to put up or shut up. If we're doing something wrong, spell out a plan. If he's so awesome, he should run the bomb in and arm it by himself. Not one of these fuckers has "put up" yet.

Matchmaking - I mostly play Big Team Battle. I hate Land Grab. I'm screwed. And for that matter, doesn't everybody hate Land Grab? Why is that shit mode in Matchmaking at all?

Game Balance - 2 weapons is greater than 1. If you spawn near somebody, chances are you're screwed, because you're nearly useless until you find something other than a single SMG.

Coagulation - File this under Matchmaking and Game Balance. This map is crap. It's so wonderful to spawn in the middle of nowhere and hobble around like a cripple until you find a...

Battle Rifle - I hate this gun. Yes, if you have a Plasma Pistol it works. If you're trying to kill someone with just this thing, it take what - 12 head shots? The solution is simple enough - I don't use the damned thing. The problem is I really hate getting killed by it. Enter Coagulation again. It sucks to spawn, start getting pelted by this thing, then about an hour later when you're almost to safety, finally get enough lead in your face to die. Then you spawn in same place.

Unless I'm playing with friends, I won't even log on. I had one night in early December where every team I played on had at least 1 or 2 team-killing cocksuckers that made it their personal mission to to fuck up the game for everyone. They would take the bomb and sit on it, run off a cliff with it, anything they could do so that their own team couldn't score. After about 2 hours of this moronic shit I was done and refused to play it with the general public ever again. Microsoft needs to make a way for players to filter a game by age. If I only want to play with people in their 30's who just want to play for fun and don't have time for all of the childish team-killing bullshit I should be able to...lord knows that they have the technology.

Being a girl who plays, i hate the people who assume all girls who play Xbox Live are
A. fat
B. ugly
C. noobs with no skill whatsoever

I understand that most guys are shocked when girls play games like Halo 2, but give us a break. I'm in an all-girl clan (approx. 50 members) and we get so many insults that it just gets old really fast.

I think we have the makings of a charity clan vs clan match.

damn fifty girls playing halo 2? there a chance that one isnt fat (i kid, i kid)

i think its annoying when kids are like you suck i had 20 kills and i tell them that i can get a bj later, so it doesnt really matter.

i also hate when people call me a bitch because i shot their homeboy up, have a blinking health meter and he cleans up with sloppy seconds.

i also hate when people complain about the weapons. rocket this or sword that.

im sick of people asking about dl content and im certainly sick of people who claim cheating when they have never even seen what it looks like.

i havent played this game in weeks and am glad i havent. i enjoy playing hockey and smoking cigarettes instead

by far my funniest Halo2 experience was when this kid was swearing like crazy, couldnt have been any older than 12 and i told him to put his mom on the headset and he actually did. i told her what a mouth her kid had and she apologized to me and it blue screened. guessing she either knows the standby gltich or she made him shut his box off.

most annoying experience, playing with matt x. or when kids say you better be good since my rank doesnt show up since im not in a clan. i tell them im a samurai for hire.

When SC:CT comes out im gonna replace it with sam fisher...

EDIT:

I just play with my friends.... but if I do play on XBL alone I hate people who quit in ranked games therefor screwing us.

There have been some times where total bullshit occurs. Like person A takes a shotgun in the head and still kills person B. Yet, by far, the most annoying experience in Halo 2 is what just happened to me. I played 5 games of Head to Head, after just getting back into the gametype. The first one, the guy was not nearly as good as me. Yay, easy win, right? That was until he started standbying. Then the next person, yay, he didn't standby and I wooped his ass. The next, he sucked and even told me he was gonna standby before he did so and won. Then the 4th opponet, yay, didn't standby so I won. And the 5th opponet. Man, this guy plain sucked all around. He sucked at standbying, and I still managed to catch up and keep a tie with him by hiding and sneaking up on him. Yet he beat me by one is the last 30 secons. Wow, what a piece of shit Halo 2 has become. Now I don't have to become guilt when I don't play this game for weeks on end like I've been doing.
