Watchmen(easily my most anticipated movie ever since I read the graphic novel)
Inglorious Bastards(I love just about anything Tarantino does plus it has a strong cast)
Wolverine(my favorite X-man gets his own movie and its about his origin as Weapon X)
Monsters VS Aliens(Dreamworks animation with Seth Rogan, Stephen Colbert and Paul Rudd)
Terminator Salvation(I'm a huge Bale fan and can't wait to see him step into the shoes of John Connor)
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen(hey I liked the first one)
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince(I've liked all the films can't wait for this one)
Shutter Island(Scorsee and Leo D)
Where the wild things are(hopefully this excellent kids book is not tarnished with a sub par movie).
Sherlock Holmes(Downey Jr as the worlds most famous detective)
Avatar(James Cameron nuff said)
Star Trek(not a huge trekkie always been more of a Star Wars fan but I loved most of the movies).

Watchmen (By far the most anticipated movie in 09 for me)
Star Trek
Gran Torino
Inglorious Basterds
Defiance
Taken
Wolverine
The International

Year One - maybe the funniest movie coming out this summer
Watchmen (assuming its released on time)
Terminator & Public Enemies - So I can get my annual fix of Christian Bale beating up bad guys

So far, just Watchmen.

Although, I'd be willing to wait a little longer for it if it means Zack Snyder winning his battle to make the movie 3+ hours long.

Just see it in theaters and then you'll get your director's cut on DVD.

Inglorious Bastards for me for sure.
I can't wait to see Gran Torino.
That comedy with Sandler, Rogan and Apatow.

Wolverine should be bad ass.
Saw VI? I thought that series had finished (still haven't seen V, though).
The sixth film is "suppose" to be the last one.
Also, The Three Stooges? Who's in that one?
Cast is unknown, but it's directed by The Farrelly Brothers...

I recommend Taken and Gran Torino. Both are good films, though Taken's ending is a bit ... irksome. I was once a film fanatic, and have watched most critically-acclaimed past movies, but grew busier over the years, and now, honestly, I have no idea what's coming out this year. Well, outside of Watchmen (if it does release), Wolverine: Origins, and Inglourious Basterds. I'll probably use this thread as a reference in the future.

Up
Wolverine
I Love You Man
Friday the 13th
(should have more)

oh dude Gran Torino was AWESOME and it's not a 2009 movie it's actually a 2008 it just released wide this past friday for wide so it's not 2009.

Can't believe I forgot about Crank 2 and Up!

Tobin Bell has signed on for seven.

No one has brought up The Expandables yet?!

Directed and starring Stallone along with Jet Li, Jason Stedham, Dolph Lungdren and Mickey Rourke as a group of mercenaries sent into a foreign country to do the jobs no one will? That's easily up there and basically takes over the spot Inglorious Basterds would have..

Other then that, majority of what everyone else has listed...
The Rum Diaries
The Road
Killing Pablo
Ooh... I forgot about The Rum Diaries and The Road.

Put those on my list.
I think you just listed every movie coming out this year.
Nah, I didn't list crap like Harry Potter and the Whatever, Wolverine, Star Trek, or Transformers 2. Nearly all, though. Nearly.
The thing about Nigerian movies is the story. The most common flaws in Nigerian movies are their poor endings. In the outgoing year, one thing that refused to change about Nigerian movies is its character.
Nigerian movies are very popular abroad especially in Western Europe. Nigerian movies are popular in the US and are appreciated in places like Cuba, the Caribbean -Jamaica to Trinidad/Tobago, Brazil, and Afro-Latin America. Nigerian movies are making headlines all over Africa and beyond.
Nigerian movies are sold the entire world today. You can buy the best quality of Nigerian movies at African movies direct. Nigerian movies are suddenly earning international attention . Whoever said this movie was terrible must stop watching Nigerian movies cos if this movie is terrible then the other Nigerian movies are beyond terrible. But there are claims that Nigerian movies are selling like 'hot cakes' in the United States.
It is at these daytime shows that Nigerian movies are most popular as they are preferred by women. A majority of Nigerian movies are comedic. Despite repetitive themes and low production values, Nigerian movies are extremely popular. Nigerian movies are making headlines all over Africa and beyond. Nigerian movies are really gaining grounds in most African countries, with Togo, Continuo and Ghana inclusive. At Lagos' only movie theater, Nigerian movies are being screened along side newly released Hollywood blockbusters. Nigerian movies are THE BOMB. Nigerian movies are a household name all over the country. Currently, 10-15 new movies appear on the market every fortnight. Nigerian movies are extremely popular, not only in Nigeria itself; currently, 10-15 new movies. Nigerian movies are popular viewing in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Botswana and Algeria, to name a few countries. Nigerian movies are so popular, some people become addicted to them. Nigerian movies are essentially for home consumption. African movies direct is the number one Entertainer for Nigerian movies on line.
