You're in the Movies (360) $10 at Best Buy B&M after $10 off RZ coupon (until 5/17)

splintercell

CAGiversary!
Best Buy's free Gamers Club has an in-store coupon for $10 off a bunch of PC games as well as You're in the Movies for the Xbox 360. Since the game + Live Vision camera bundle retails for $20, this should take it down to $10.

Update 5/5: As several helpful folks have pointed out, the item seems to be currently on sale at BB for $9.99 even without the coupon, so if the coupon is also accepted it may end up being free, but YMMV on that.

Update 5/11: It looks like the temporary sale is now over, so it once again rings up at the full $19.99, and with the RZ coupon it comes down to $9.99. The free ride looks to be over.

This looks to be the link to check stock availability in stores (which seems pretty limited already, but the stock levels don't seem completely accurate): http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...product&skuId=9112514&productId=1218024597755

The coupon is currently the fourth item in the Special Offers list under the Gamers Club section of the RZ site.

Direct link to coupon (probably have to signed into your RZ account): https://myrewardzone.bestbuy.com/viewDetails.jspx?tc=CPN_10

Coupon valid from 5/4 through 5/17.

Well, I'm going to try a few stores tonight though the web site showed them all out of stock days ago. I'm just hoping it is wrong (or there's at least 1 copy somewhere). I can't believe everyone else would be able to find multiples and say there's 7 or 10 more on the shelf when not a single store (about 6 of them) supposedly had it around here even 3 days ago.

Congratulations.

Got the last one at my store. The sticker said $9.99 on sale, so I was a bit worried they would contest the coupon, but girl didn't even flinch. Free for the camera is a great deal :D Thanks OP!

This was a great find. Picked up 2 today with the QOS I bought. Total came to be 10.69 after tax for everything. Its gonna be a good gift for a friend. Thanks so much CAG :)
I'm going to take that to mean that Strell has multiple weiners! I'm absolutely sure that's what he meant.
I agree thats undeniably what he meant .

Heads up Socal cags . Enci is sold out .

For the record, even a pinky finger can look like Godzilla when its an inch from the camera lens. Trick photography 101 :p

Nay...panoramic view. Multiple cameras needed to fit the entire length.

Just a guess, mind you. >_>

Nobleman, you spoiled the joke. :p

Picked up one in Lake Jackson, TX today and will go back for more tomorrow. :D Thanks OP!

I found one but was denied the $10 off as she said it was on sale and the coupon doesn't work with sale items.

Will try a different one tomorrow.

I like to think I just worked from yours and made it my own :p

Live in Virginia and can't find one?

The ass below got 90 (ninety) of them. He split them up, 90 copies of the game for sale and 79 Live Vision cameras for sale. He must have driven up and down the state. (Not sour grapes, I was lucky and actually was able to get one but this is too much).

www.amazon.com/shops/n4soccer

Even this must be too much for Best Buy. They have a record of every free one he's taken. I hope they do something about it.

Indeed. Now "that" is hoarding. Should be a limit of how many someone can get. Thats just overkill.

Is anyone getting the site to show the game for them still?
Half the posts on this site are about flipping for profit. Just check the Blockbuster/Gamerush thread. People talk about flipping stuff and getting other things in return all the time. Why don't you go hassle some of them. It's not like I'm selling them on ebay.
How is selling on EBay worse than selling them to Gamestop of FYE? Really, I'm curious.

well as a whole it could be the same. But who says what someone can do once they acquire said items. I'd say ebaying is worse because the person more than likely has mass quantities of the said item and is selling them for what "he" wants. While flipping to Gamestop/Blockbuster/Gamecrazy/etc. you have limited options. You take more risk. Most places won't accept more than one copy of a game at a time, so it becomes a real hassle driving everywhere. Flipping mass quantities of a game would be a pain in the ass while ebaying mass quantities is a breeze and there is less to worry about.

But yah, looking at it head on.its still trying to make a profit.which the majority of users here do. There were others talking about flipping/trading their copies in as well.

I'd be willing to bet that (for the consumer) it's actually better for the hoarder to sell on EBay than trade it in to GS. First of all, EBay will likely be flooded so you will probably be able to get a sealed one for under $20 shipped. Gamestop on the other hand, will sell you used copies of the game and camera separately, which I'm guessing will be around $30 combined for both the game and the camera (though not sure of the exact prices, I was guessing $17.99 and $12.99).

I went to BB earlier today and got the last 3 they still had. I gave 1 to a friend which is where I usually end up playing party games anyways, 1 is for a gift this June. The third one I'm keeping just for the camera. Awesome deal. Thanks to the OP.

true......Gamestop does try to screw people over that way. But thats just a consumer being a consumer. Why not sell them seperately if people will buy them that way? And yah.....you could get more on ebay, but I only find that to be a good way if you have say.......10+ of an item. I dunno..I'm not a big online buyer/seller. But from my experiences thats where the "huge" hoarders go. But people will flip to gamestop when they have just small amounts all the time. Just an easier way to get cash. And with the economy the way it is right now.I don't blame them.

I have a friend that has bought and traded in a DS like 5 times and a 360 3 times. He always gets money shortage problems.....mainly due to his gambling and smoking habits.

Like previously stated.....if you want in on these deals...........you better be prepared for stuff like this to happen. The earlier you get in on the deal the better. I was surprised to find some today since this has been going on since Sunday.

Well, I managed to track one down but it took some effort and luck.

My closest Best Buy (by close I mean 10 miles away) had the peg for them but none in stock. Fortunately someone there checked the real store stock for me at nearby stores (as online it said they were all sold out 3 days ago but I knew they could have 1 or 2). The next closest stores were sold out, but two stores another 20 miles onward (in different directions) supposedly had ONE each.

Unfortunately the Best Buy with the music store was one of the ones sold out as I took my son with me and all he wanted to do was go there and play drums and guitar. So we scurried to the further one before doubling back to the one with the music store.

I get there and can't find it or even a peg for it like at the first store. So I'm thinking fuck, I just wasted a 20 mile round trip out of my way for nothing. Finally I ask someone and he says he was told they were sold out but would check. He then looks around on the shelves (why do they do this when I just told them it wasn't there?). Anyway, then he decided to check in back and lo and behold, he finds it! So, I ended up with that and a pack of gum for $1.09. I had to throw in the overpriced gum just because at that point I didn't want to ruin it by raising the red flag of a free item to the cashier and having it nullified. Though, actually, the way she acted she seemed to think I was using a Reward Zone certificate so I don't even think she realized I got the game for free.

Anyway, going back to that stock locator. My entire metro area had 2 of them. Meanwhile, a few other "nearby" locations popped up. One of those was the store in Anchorage, Alaska. Guess how many they have?
FIFTY! Damn lucky Alaskans and their abundance of riches! First free oil money for doing nothing but living there and now this

I found 3 in CT store and went to buy them with the coupon but the system only deducted $10 (or rather $9.99) for the total purchase of 3. I was going to get one for my sister and one for my brother and one for myself. In the end I bought just 2, paid $10.59 and will split the difference with my sister so it works out to a $5+ camera and game for each.

Checked back inventory system today and that store shows none in stock now so that's it for me.

I guess I should have broken it down into 3 separate purchases, but I only had one print of the coupon and the clerk said that they had to all be on the same purchase for me to use the coupon. Oh well, thanks OP for the heads up on this deal!

The coupon has to be scanned for each item you purchased. If they scaned the coupon a second time, it would have taken another $9.99 off.

I've been so damn busy with work and travel for work that I've missed out on the clearance, this, and the 007 Deal, not to mention any Target clearance. fuck ME! All I want is the cam...

Heads up for the SW Houston CAGers. The Sharpstown BB had 3 copies left. I was able to walk in and get it with no issue. The girl that rang me up was really suprised too.

All I ask is don't be a dick and buy all three to flip. Share the love.

Bought 2 at my local store (the last two). The clerk wouldn't scan the coupon 2x, so I spent 10.98 or so total for both. I was going to try to force the issue, but decided against, as I didn't want to appear on the manager's radar.

Thanks OP!

South chicago area said every store has them, but when I went they told me the exact opposite. "I looked it up and none of our locations have them". You just have to get lucky finding one yourself I guess.

Call the Best Buy Customer service line with your receipt number and such, and explain to them what went on, and they should send you a gift card for $10.
How accurate is the store locator? Mine have been OOS since the beginning of the sale
From my experience, pretty accurate when it comes to this game.

Not very at all. My local bestbuy showed as OOS on Tuesday. I went in after work anyway to be sure, and sure enough there was on right there on the hanger.

Took it up to the front and out the door for $0.00.

This is why I love CAG.

It's probably rare to find them at a store that says they are out of them. I used the locator 2 days ago and only 1 of like 5 stores said they had any in. I went there yesterday and bought the last 3 they had. Now when using the locator......all stores near me have 0.

I was able to get one today for free, I didn't actually think I could walk out of there without paying for anything. If anyone in the Raleigh, NC area looking for a copy the Best Buy in Knightdale has about 20.

About an hour ago, I went to one BB, they were OOS. Went to another BB (only about 10 minutes away), they had 2! Grabbed them, the cashier scanned one of them & then scanned the coupon to see if it would actually go through & it did! :D Then she called over the manager. The cashier explained the situation & then rang up the other one. The manager basically just shrugged her shoulders. :D I even put back the bottle of Coke I was gonna buy (just in case ;)).

Then I went to GS & traded in one of the cameras for $7.25.

So, I got one for me & one early B-Day/X-Mas Present for my friend!\\:D/

Thanks OP!

I went out at lunch today and was able to get one at the Sterling (Dulles), VA store. The game rang up at $9.99. I almost thought the coupon wasn't going to work -- the cashier scanned it and it showed up on her display as having a value of $0.00, and the total didn't go down. Then she hit the button to complete the sale, and the total dropped by $10. If she noticed that it made the game free, she didn't say anything (I was buying a CD too, so the total didn't go down to $0).

For anyone in this area, they still had two left on the shelf when I was there.

I just came back from Best Buy and only have one copy of You're in the Movies left and it was on sale for $9.99. So, I was skeptical about the coupon working since it specifically said no sale items. I tried it it anyway, once she pulled up my rewards zone account I gave her the coupon and she said "Oh, it's free!"

So I got a free vision cam and a game I'll probably play once, more interested in the camera. Thanks OP.
Have my cam hooked up to my pc. Are there any programs which I could test it out on?
Skype and MSN Messanger to name two.

In my experience, not accurate at all. The store locator/stock availability search on the website said none of the BBs in my area had Quantum of Solace (360) and that only two had You're in the Movies. First, I called the two BBs that had YitM in stock, hoping they could find QoS so I could get both at one store. No luck. Then I called the BB closest to me and the manager had someone go in the back and he found both games and held them at Customer Service for me. Both coupons worked and the total was $10.49. Great deal.

I'm pretty sure the locator shows if there are more than 2 copies in the store. If there are 2 or less, then it shows OOS. My store had one, and it showed OOS.
