Zelda DS Lite Bundle $149.99

Amazon.com has great return policys, such as no hassle refund, they even pay for the shipping label, and easy to print out, affix to box and return. However it seems like banpeikun's right, you can e-bay or sell it here to someone for more than retail. Or try holding out a year and see what you can get. Look at those Zelda GBA SP.

Can anyone tell me if the Zelda game has "not for resale" anywhere on it? Question is because I just bought the game a week ago, I could probably return it granted it's identical to the retail copy. I just don't want to crack open the box yet!

I picked up my preordered bundle from GameCrazy today at 2:15pm and they still had at least four bundles of both Zelda and Nintendogs.

Went at 9 this morning. At the Target I went to there was about 5 of the Zelda left and it was kept behind the register along with some other items. Strange enough I only saw one Nintendog..and it was behind the glass display o_o

Anywho, Im giddy too :* Now to take the game and some other DS games I havent touch in awhile to gamestop if they still have that trade in promotion...

Picked one up a long with the Nintendogs bundle for my sis. Traded both our Phat DS's at GS and got both bundles for $200 after 7.75% tax...not bad.
does anyone have any idea on how to open the box?
If both sides are glued shut like the Brain Age 2 bundle, sadly the only way to open it is by destroying it.

Ha, I haven't tried it yet - going to check Micro Center tomorrow to get in on their deal, otherwise I'll keep this one.

From what IGN was saying, as with the Brain Age 2 box, you just kinda open the panels, and the box pretty much disintegrates.

Yes, its got a NOT FOR RESALE label...but it still has a barcode, if you plan to return it at the store you bought your single copy you might be able to if an employee doesn't notice it.

I don't even know what I would say when they point out the fact that I was returning a "not for resale" copy of the game!

TY very much for that info though! I think I should just return the bundle in that case lol; I really don't feel like cracking open the box to have to sell my current white system and sealed PH game :( I got the white from k-mart w/ coupon ($113) and PH from TRU w/ coupon ($31), the bundle cost me $163ish so it just doesn't make much economical sense seeing as how I'd likely lose money.

On the other hand there is eBay but it seems flooded.

Another question: is the gold shiny like regular DS or is it matte like the old SP's?

for those having trouble opening the box, here is how i opened the brain age 2 bundle with minimal damage

First of all make sure the BACK of the box is facing you, if you look from the top it should say nintendo ds lite, the wording should be reversed from the way you would normally read it

now, grab an exacto knife or something sharp, strell's wang perhaps, and start from the TOP left or TOP right side of the box (these corners should be where black meets red, a MINISCULE GAP should be visible) and take the knife/wang from one corner and cut it horizontally to the other corner, you can use a ruler to keep it straight if you'd like

keep in mind these are instructions for the brain age 2 bundle, i haven't yet received my zelda bundle, however it should be about the same

For what it's worth, guys at Micro Center thought this bundle was a Best Buy exclusive, so I'm guessing they won't be getting it in by 12/2 if at all, so time to open my CC purchase. First DS Lite, very exciting!

Got it all set up with my old Wi-Fi stuff, no dead pixels, no yellow screen. All in all, very happy. Just having my wife grab some Hori screen protectors from EB if they have some on her way home, then I'll be ready to go.

I opened mine today the game comes in a regular case but it does say not for resale on back.
is anyone else going to get a case for the gold DS? If so, which one?
For now I'm using the FFIII sleeve that came free with the game at TRU a year back. Probably going to put something more substantial on my Christmas list, though.

MrSneis, its shiny

I'll be using my armorlite case:

Thx again Linkin; man now I want to keep the gold one and give the game to my brother.

The best case IMO:

Hori Compact Pouch - It kinda sucks that these are not truly available locally

The inside is very soft material and can actually hold a few games. My old one stodd up well inside my backpack; I actually have a pink one on the way right now along with an r4.

I ordered the bundle online. Been waiting for one like this, but now that I look at the DS there aren't to many more games I want other then Zelda.

i really want this but i already have the white one and the black DS lites. I also have the game. maybe i should just sell my black ds since its looks new and pick up this bundle.

I ordered mine from Amazon on Friday also, but it's not here yet, and the tracker is bloody useless. All it says is that it's in the US. -_-* But I've never had a problem with Amazon's free shipping, so I trust it will be here soon. I've ordered a printer from them a few years ago and thought it would take two weeks like the tracker expected, but I got free two day shipping. :D

As for a case, I'm probably going to get the armorlite, or the clear one I saw at Gamestop where you can insert cutouts into the sleeves to skin them.
Does this have the "original" DS Lite screens, or the newer "yellow" DS Lite screens (like the Brain Age 2 Black/Red one)?
Original, or closer to the original than the yellow ones, at least.
Original, or closer to the original than the yellow ones, at least.
Interesting. Now I'm thinking again about possibly sending in my crimson/black DS for a "repair". But I'd read that people were getting replacements that were the same. Honestly, though, the yellow-ishness isn't so bothersome to me now, and if the screen is more durable it would be worth it. I'm going to find out if this is symptomatic of the crimson/black DS's only soon enough, though, as I picked up a couple more new DS's for my kids for Christmas. One all-black, one crimson-black. It will be interesting to see how their touchscreens compare to mine.

Back in September, water got into my black DS lite (I simply got rained on), and I sent for replacement since I didn't want to be without for the 3 weeks they said it would take. The replacement they sent me was that horrendous yellow, I always notice it because of the way I hold my DS, lighter colors are affected by it, and I still bloody hate it, hence my buying the gold one.

Just ordered a black Multi Pouch DS Lite from Play-Asia, and from what I hear it seems to be promising -- bulky and secure.
