Zelda: Four Sword Adventures (GC) $14.99 NEW at ebgames.com

I did a quick search, but didn't see this listed. EBGAMES.com has Legend Of Zelda: Four Swords Adventure for the Gamecube for $14.99. I picked it up with Metroid Prime 2.

Your search didn't pick it up cause it looks like the other poster put it up 3 minutes before you did... probably in the process of typing as you searched. We like EB price drops though, so post away.

Edit: I would get it, but I don't have a GBA at the moment, so if I do in theory at some point (since my friend introduced me to the joy of drunken PacMan vs.) I'll get it then.

wow... I keep missing out on these kickass deals because I already own the games in question! Maybe if I'm lucky they'll drop something else, like... oh I dunno, Mario Tennis or something. Oh well at least I got good deals on these games back when I got them (rainchecked Zelda for $27 about a year ago... minus an upcoming Pricegrabber $5 rebate, yay! And MP2 was a Christmas gift).

Damn doesn't a GBA/GC link cable cost about $15 on its own? This deal is crazy!

Already got this, but it's definitely a good deal. Looks like it's the thick box version as well, which comes with the free cable.

I got this last year for $20 and have barely touched it. But it's a good price and and you're like me and need to have every Zelda title, go for it.

that would be the only reason why i would buy it. but i think i'm going to pass.
how can u tell it's the "big box" version?
I'm assuming it's the big box version because it comes with a cable. They could ship the cable separately, I guess, but I'm still leaning toward the former possibility.
Do you need a gba to play this game? Also is this at that price at the B&M store?
If memory serves, you don't need a GBA to play single player, but you will need GBA's for multiplayer.

I've always wanted to play this but my friends probably wouldn't have the patience for it... and, I'd need to find two GBAs in addition to the two I already have. What a pain.

shoot! i was gonna hop on this... i guess i gotta wait for it to come back... hopefully

btw if i am playing this soley for single player is it still worth it?

i dont have enough friends with gbs to make that work

Single player isn't bad. But, with friends... it's a riot! Picking up the other Links and throwing them over the edge is a blast. The game is a good cooperative game that has a lot of competition in it.

Does anybody have a printed screen shot they can post of the game in stock at 14.99? I would like to pricematch this like I did at Circuit City with Metroid Prime 2. Any help would be appreciated!

Don't worry - EGgames will likely have this on sale again tomorrow or Thursday. Look at Metroid Prime 2. Or paper Mario. Or Wario World. Etc., etc.

I think it's a marketing technique to draw people to their website.

You also get a sense that they clear out what is on hand and then the next day more are unpacked or "discovered" and they put out some more . . . this continues until the game is truly OOS.

Deal not good instore at the location I checked.

Just in front of me, this guy (about 20 years) traded in 4 games all Xbox (Guy Game, Sonic Collection, last year's Madden, and LOTR 3rd Age) for $16 in cash . . . I almost vomitted in seeing such sacrilege.

Zelda has already shipped... the PO game I tacked on is still in process (wish I could can it but my conscience won't let me ^__^).

I'm sure it'll be back.

MGS3 is now 14.99$ as well... EB must be dumping these out for the new X360 inventory coming up.

I kinda figured it had something to do with a limit on how many the computer will recognize that they have in stock - and each morning they have to "update" with a current number or the max number (Let's say, 255)...

What a coincidence -- 255 is also the max # of rupees you can get in the original LOZ. :)

Not really that much of a coincidence. That's the maximum number you can store in a byte of memory. Since computers run on binary, and 2^8 = 256. The most number of games you can have in your cart is 255 (for the numbers 0-255). And that's the end of my computer lesson.

Yeah, I already knew that since I'm an electrical engineer. ;)

Sweet, I'm a computer scientist.

Ok, you have to be careful not to abuse this.

I called customer support and asked them the nature of their shifting price drops, and the guy said they get a limited quantity and were told to get them out at a certain price, and when the limited qty. is gone, the sale is gone, unless they get more.

He said he could sell it to me for 14.99, but only over the phone, and I wouldn't be able to track it online through ebgames.com, only by calling, but he gave me an order number and stuff. Also, he said that it was either with a free cable in-box (i.e. bigbox version) or no free cable was included, because only one skew # was attached to all the other orders he was watching.

Anyways, the guy was REALLY nice, and PLEASE dont ALL call and ask for 14.99, because it will ruin this for the future, but there you have it. I hope its with the free cable...otherwise I'll eat the 1.99 shipping and just return the game...its only worth it to me with the cable because I have sooooo many other games that benefit from the gba cable.
