Edit: Oh sad day that they now are back to 19.99!

I put in this thread, but people (Edit: Indeed, Sir Roufuss) are saying it deserves its own thread.

The LE Zelda Guide with the gold trim and cloth map is $17.99 at Best Buy in store. In-store link:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8174487&st=zelda&type=product&id=1162594204759

I didn't know this. I saw it at 19.99, decided using a GGC on it was good enough for me, so I checked out. I noticed the clerk was taking a little longer than I thought he would. Turns out it rang up 17.99, but he overrode the coupon's 19.99 limitation anyway, giving it to me for 12.99.

At the worst you can get it for 17.99, aye?

Edit: Wanted to add this - oddly, the LE guide was next to the other Prima guides (both the Wii and GC versions), and they were marked 19.99 as well. So go figure on that.

Edit 2: The bullet list on the back states "written specifically for the Wii version." Sorry Roufuss. :(

Edit 3: Holy shit. Appears to be 9.99 now. ....I OVERPAID THREE DOLLARS!!!
Went to three BB's, and picked up a guide per store. One was for another CAG who asked about it last night, and two others are up for dibs. $16 shipped insured media mail w/DC, or $22 shipped insured priority mail w/DC, if you're interested.
If this is indeed for the TP LE guide id LOVE to take one off your hands.

No luck at my store. Sucks too, because I was able to grab one of the clearanced tip books that has the $5 off coupon in it. Any chance of these being restocked before the end of the week (when the coupon expires)?

Saw this and rushed out early this morning. Second BestBuy I went to had 1 left. Thank you OP. Things like this really need there own thread. I wouldn't have gotten it otherwise.

Also got Shadow Hearts From the New World for $15 with Gamer Gift Card.

The Map is HUGE and great. Fantastic buy.

I think they wanted to get rid of the guides as quickly as possible since it was taking up a lot of space and to make way for other Zelda guides. They pretty much accomplished that since I can't find them anymore. I'm guessing they're not going to have more in stock - otherwise, why would they want to get rid of them so quickly?
I scored one at the BB in Downtown San Fran just now. They had 3 more after I bought mine.

Also, FYI: this BB also had about 30-40 of the somewhat elusive Pink DS Lite in stock.

EDIT: I would also like to thank CAG GundNataku for hoarding and Ebaying these guides. You're awesome.

I'm glad that he just wasted his money, seeing as how no one is buying them. They're still relatively easy to find at the normal price.

People say that and then they become rare. I know that this was a must buy for me. I would have eventually gotten it when I have more extra cash for wharever price.

This is one of the few guides that is so high quality. In fact I cant think of one thats higher. This guide is a must buy.

I don't get why he has a $60 BIN when you can buy them for $20 shipped at Amazon and Overstock, and they are selling for $30 at GS and EB.

Mine had plenty. About 5, they were listed for $19.99, but rang up as $9.99. Thnx for the info OP, great deal.

My BB also had a bunch of nunchuck which is awesome. Picked one of those up too.
I don't get why he has a $60 BIN when you can buy them for $20 shipped at Amazon and Overstock, and they are selling for $30 at GS and EB.
Preying on the stupidity of the average eBay buyer.

Though, he's even more stupid to use the same CAG name as eBay name. :whistle2:s

Did anyone try to get a raincheck for this item?

Im thinking about doing that and arguing with them if they say no since its a sale item....at least on their site.

I got one earlier today(around 12:00) at Western Hills BB in Cincinnati. I had to get a worker to get one from the back. The store listed 5 in the inventory. I also used the coupon for 5$ off any Wii accesory with no probelm. This thing is sexy as hell:cool:

went down today again, they were still in the back room, so I ended up picking up 2 more guides, they had 3 left, but the employee's were all over them. They were all huge wii fans, so I didn't want to be too greedy

Joliet IL: All gone. They had a couple on Monday, but I didn't have the coupon. I went back today...all gone. Damn! I shoulda just bought one and tried to PM it.

Anyone got one they wanna trade off? Check my list.

I'll admit, I bought two, sold one to recoup expenses. It sold for $40, oddly enough.

ok i got one... but it's kinda screwy coz the cover is 'reversed'. meaning my front cover is actually the back one (the one w/o the triforce logo). sucks eh?

Thanks to the OP for this find. I was lucky enough to find one tonight, and man, this guide is a steal for $10! One of the coolest guides I've ever seen.

Sell it on eBay and say that it's a special Gamecube TP guide that was made specifically for the Wii. Not only is the game a mirror image, but the guide is too!

just a heads up - atwater best buy in socal had a few stickers near their guides section that said "$10 off all prima guides" ended up picking up the non-CE zelda gamecube guide for $9.99 because of that. They didn't have the CE though

Hmm... I picked up the "regular" premium edition guide by accident. I couldn't find the hardcover one and mistakenly brought the regular one. I might just return it at a different BB if I can find it, although $10 for a guide like this is a decent deal.

Thanks CAGs, I scored 3 of these excellent guides: one to use, one to keep sealed and displayed forever, and one to give away/sell to my sister. Does anybody know if the guide work for the GCN version as well. That's the version I have at the moment; doesn't matter though as I will pick up the Wii version when I finally get one!!!

From what I gather in this thread and else where, these collector's edition guides are specifically for the Wii version. However, because both the Wii and GC version are virtually identical in content, you can use this Wii specific guide for the GC game.

Just have to remember that the guide refers to the mirror version of your game, and the control references are useless.

Anyone have any luck finding these in Southern California today? I went to 3 Best Buys listed as having it for instore pickup and each said they could not find them.

I checked Westminster, Lakewood, and Cerritos and no luck.

Ah, success! Managed to snag 2 during my run (there was one more I left, that got snagged while I was looking through the games - so good thing I got there when I did!). I was happy as I had to fight rain and that damn combo commute/shopping traffic to get there. Also found some toys for Christmas for my 4 year-old that I was looking everywhere for at TRU later. And to top it all off, I found a few more Kmart clearance games. So, all in all a nice little shopping run (also did a few "while you're out" things for the wife ;)).

I'm opening one to use during play with my kids (Zelda was on hold while we rented Excite Truck and got into Elebits a little, but we've got PLENTY left in it, so this will come in handy).

The other I'm putting away. If there was ever a guide to keep an extra sealed copy of this has got to be it. For $5 it's worth a shot, anyway. I can always use it for a trade later if nothing else.

I had 2 of the PS3/Wii accessory coupons with me, thanks to the tips here. I already had the coupons and figured they would never be useful because I don't plan on paying full price minus $5 for Wiimotes and the like (would rather get them with trade credit at EB or GR). I would never have thought to use them on something like this. Anyway, I was sweating it as the cashier read the coupons thoroughly. It seems she was just trying to get instructions ('cause she ignored the 'no copies' part ;)). Then, of course, they didn't work automatically. When she called a supervisor over I thought I was out of luck. But much to my surprise, without even looking at the coupons, he told her to override and take $5 off! Very nice, very nice indeed.

While I've been kind of spoiled because of penny guides, I feel that even at $5, this was a much better purchase than just about every penny guide I've ever gotten. And besides, it has been a LONG time since this Best Buy had left any penny guides out, so it was a bit of nostalgia (getting a cheap guide that is) as well.

I took the last one at Hawthorne (instore computer said 10 left, only found 1 in the back according to them)

picked one up at the oxford valley, PA store, there were about 7 to 10 more on the shelf for any one who still needs one.

Wow, what an awesome price. Too bad I paid $20 for the regular Prima version, $20 for the Nintendo version (w/ Nintendo Power sub.+soundtrack) and only $10 for the CE.

Nice! I was afraid it wouldn't come back in stock online. Either way, calling my dad to pick it up for me resulted in him saying, "Don't worry about paying me back. Call it a Christmas present." Love me daddy.

Wow, thanks! I picked up the CE guide along with Viva Pinata, and used the $10 coupon I got with the PS3 preorder fiasco. $38 shipped for both is a steal. :applause:

Thanks a lot. I ordered one online for store pickup at the Best Buy near my parents' house. Looks like a quick trip to Best Buy is in order for the holiday weekend. Awesome deal. This is why I love CAG.

Just picked it up when I went to get Viva Pinata. They had 3 or 4 left at the Manalapan, NJ BB. When I went to bring it up the lady flipped out because it was only $9.99. She called another employee over and was telling her how the Zelda Collection is only 10 bucks!!. She kept calling it the Zelda collection and asked me if there were anymore. I said yeah. I think she thought there was a game in it. It was funny though.

Back In Stock On Bestbuy.com! 5 dollars for shipping, however still comes out to be cheaper then the original 17.99 price. I picked one up because no best buy around my house has one in stock.
Back In Stock On Bestbuy.com!
Yeah , but shipping kind of hurts that with the extra 5.00 for it.

For 10$ I'm so in! I decided against the guide two days ago because I felt I didnt need it for 20$, but for this price its worth it for the collectors item. It really is a very good looking book!

The layout is a bit of a disappointment as others have mentioned, but it's really nice regardless. It is a one shot deal though, from beginning to end...this is what to do. There's no special section for bug hunting, or fishing, or heart collecting...etc.

Oh, well, it's Prima after all.

This is great, I found a best buy gift card while cleaning out storage and it had $3 on it. In for one & only $8. Thanks Strell!
