A response to a "Looking for old games" ad I put up:
Aparently an Atari Flashback or one of those bootleg things from the flea market. I responded with fake enthusiasm:
All sarcasm was lost, however, and at my feigned interest the scammer obviously smelled blood in the water:
Hahaha. Fake interest = 9x jump in price. Of course, I was still getting a chuckle, so:
And then...
However, someone was coming to buy it for $1500 that day if I didn't match that in cash. Its a shame I missed that opportunity! They found something else, though...
I countered with an offer of $2500 if they could ship to me in Nigeria, then they called me a scammer and stopped responding to my emails.
Its a shame, though. I missed out on an ariginal Sega with tapes!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Ahhh man, that is just classic. If the misspelling of every other word wasn't intentional on their part, I'd have to say that if the shoe were on the other foot, you could offer them a dog turd and call it a 'rare collectors item' for $1000 and they'd bite.
That reminds me of the person locally who had Breath Of Fire IV and the guide for it on CL. Every time I asked about completeness, I would state what I meant. And every time, they would respond with 'it has some scratches, but they all play'. It amazes me how some people who post ads online remember to even breathe on a daily basis.
