Bought Lumines Plus last night. Don't own a PSP so this was my first exposure to it. Really fun game though I suck at it, my high score is 60k

I'm going to order a set of cheap screen protectors from the dealextreme site. I can't see how they can be Horis for lees than $1.50 but it's worth a shot I guess.
just played 360 for like 7 hours and the things isnt hot at all
Yeah, but you, me, and Graystone are... hot *FIRE* that is, at the Aegis Wing! That was some fun gaming, and I really appreciate it!

Get your priorities straight, boy. OTT comes first. :shame:
There's a strong smell of "meh" in the air tonight...
You're feeling it, too? After a weekend that saw well over 12 hours of gaming, I'm pretty much exhausted. Though I might play some DS while listening to podcasts tonight...

Tru dat. 12 out of 12 nerd achievements acquired
I don't even understand what the fuck it means.
At the risk of being trolled by a freakin' coupon, "Shoehorning For The Win".. a reference to the dislike of forcing "OTT" into the topic title, which some find disagreeable and rather gauche.

It doesn't get much better than that! Now if only Dead Rising had multiplayer co-op, and less freakin' escort missions and a better save system... :D

Yea, im not liking the save system yet. Im guessing for the numbered achievements, aka save 10 survivors, you have to do it in one whole game? Not across "hey, i saved 5 guys - oops died, saved 5 others next time" ?

Ah, Best Buy. Telling us to buy the latest games and then giving these douchebags N64 controllers. If it weren't bad enough that the guy on the left has Down syndrome, they're playing on a 12 inch LCD... probably an Insignia. These guys seem to be living in a nice place so why not buy something that's not a complete piece of shit?

Edit: Additionally, the page suggests that these guys (who are living together) should curl up with a good movie. Meaning that they are overtly homosexual. Hmm... what message is Best Buy sending?

You didn't even need to supply a footnote for that screencap. Beauty in simplicity.

You can tell the bitch and the butch by whose controller has the memory pak.
Good point.
It should be mentioned that they're repin' the Best Buy colors with those Nintendo 64 controllers.

As I understand it, yeah... the escort stuff all has to happen in one shot which is a fucking logistical nightmare given how brain dead the AI on the survivors is. If there was a sea of zombies around when you have to save the old couple up on the roof right at the beginning of the game, I probably just would've shot them both point blank in the toodles and moved on.

The thing that makes it really frustrating is that they absolutely nail so many things that have never been done so well in a zombie game, but then they fumbled on the five yard line.

Ha, didn't even notice.

That's a good way to put it. Really, despite all its flaws, Dead Rising gave me a great feeling of satisfaction and enjoyment that few games have before.

Yeah you'd definitely think two grown men (possibly living together) who have an apartment with a city view and a balcony could do a little better than a Nintendo 64 and a 15" tv. I just wonder why in this day and age when its getting to the point that even ad execs must be familiar with the game world cant identify the stupidity of that picture. And why is it whenever you see someone playing video games on tv or in a movie they have a genesis controller or something like that and they're holding it like they've been teleported to the future from the 1700s. I think the only time I've seen someone playing a video game in a movie (or tv) that looked like they knew what they were doing was Shia Lebouf in Disturbia.

/rant over .. just a weird "entertainment" pet peeve of mine (the other being people out running explosions).

 Actually, Will Smith looked natural flying the car in Men In Black 2 with the PS2 controller.

I feel the same way. The first couple of hours into the game were some of the best I've ever had. Just sheer exuberance at seeing all of those slow moving zombies and so many things that could be used as weapons to kill them in such satisfying ways.

And then fuggin' Carlito shows up to crap on the fun, and the whole Barnaby thing, and then the mutha-huggin' psychos. Blah.

Man, I left my camera at work and won't be able top take pics of my new tv until later in the week since I'm working 12 hours tomorrow.

For people bitchign about the wii only gettignm 480, I was browsing Cag earlier in the day with my wii and it looked pretty good. Gonna put in the new RE4 tonight.

Your post reminds me of this.

You always see those people gesturing wildly with the atari noises coming out of the tv.

You know, I am in such a DR mood tonight, but I don't know if I'll have the energy to play after I put my son down and clean up.

I have been working a ton of OT and my "couple hours" yesterday became "Leave for work at 6:30am and get home at 9:30pm." I bring this up because I still took advantage of the wife being out of town and went to the club with some old work friends. And, it is relevant when I was talking to one friend about zombies, and she said she loved zombie movies - to which I replied she is the "coolest woman ever." (As opposed to my wife who is terrified of zombies, but forces herself to watch them, because she is "planning strategies for the inevitiable outbreak." )

Maybe because I have been working six days a week and a total of 130 hrs over the past two weeks is why I have been so obsessed with zombies lately...

I love it when kid's play handhelds in television and film, and there's never a cartridge in the Game Boy.
