In Resident Evil 4 players are reacquainted with Leon S. Kennedy, Raccoon City Police Department’s idealistic rookie cop from Resident Evil 2. It has been six years since the destruction of Raccoon City and in that time, the U.S. government has been able to destroy the nefarious Umbrella Corporation. Fast forward to 2004 and players rejoin Leon, who is now a U.S. agent with a top-secret mission. He has been tasked to look into the abduction of the President’s daughter and his investigation has led him to a mysterious location in Europe. As Leon encounters unimaginable horrors, he must find out who or what is behind everything.

there is a mini game that you can play to obtain those 2 wallpapers. You have to find 5 pieces to a key in order to get into the church in the background of the website. If you are too lazy then the link for the two wallpapers are above. If you want a challenge then I suggest you go to the website and earn the wallpapers yourself.

Thanks for creating this topic tenzor. I am a huge Resident Evil fan myself and I have spent a ton of money on this game already. I caanot wait to get it. I will be playing it all through my MLK long weekend. IGN said that if t was released last year, it cold have gotten GOTY (the guy reviewing said he would vote for it anyway). I think that is pretty sweet.

I stil have my doubts about this game though. I fear that it won't quite fell like a Residnet Evil game. It seems way too "actiony" for me. I am also scared about the plot; no Umbrella? Anyway, all will be answered come January 11th.
 
I just finished watching the making of DVD. The DVD is 10 minutes and 33 seconds long, and basically starts out with Leon telling the story about what he is doing in Europe. It then cuts to a quick gameplay video showing off some clips in RE4. Following that the dvd takes you to Capcom's office where the makers of the game answer questions about Resident Evil. The questions are answered in japanese, but there is a english translator to explain everything. Not a bad DVD, but I wished Capcom would've done a DVD explaining the past Resident Evil and lead up to explaining how they made Resident Evil 4. That way the DVD would be at least 30 minutes and more enjoyable. If anyone is wondering the bonus DVD just comes in a jewel case, with no cover insert so the CD is shown. There is art on the back of the jewel case and behind the cd so its not just a blank case.

Hehe, looks like the Gradius V DVD is still the undisputed king of pre-order/extra DVDs

And whats up with that chainsaw controller? How am I supposed to use that damn thing? and why is it going to make chainsaw sounds when I'm using a gun or crowbar?

Yeah I wondered about that also. Just a collectors item basically, it might be too hard to play with. There is a chainsaw guy in the game, so they are making the controller to resemble him I guess.

I couldn't wait any longer, so I went to BestBuy and looked through the strategy guide, and now I have even more anticipation for this games. I was getting scared that this game wouln't be too scary, but some of the monsters are just Sillent Hill esque in a good way. There were no plot spoilers, but I did get to see the bosses and creatures. This game is going to be mad scary. Remember to play this game in the dark.

THATS WHAT I WAS THINKING! I had that damn grin stuck in my head for years..and its back now. Argh. This game IS evil.
 
That is crazy Wshakspear, I thought I would be the only one who thought that. I will try to find a picture of the goomba from the movie to show people. And if anyone wants another picture or two, just ask and I will post them. I found them from various forums around the net and a few pics I took from my cell phone.

Have none of you played the demo?! Its insane! Leon is quite the acrobat in this one, being able to jump out of windows and all. I blew 6 peoples heads off with one shotgun blast. I had to pause it after that and set the control down for a second to bask in the glory of what I just did. These guys are ruthless though. You get in a two story house they come from every opening possible. They put up ladders, use chainsaws, climb to roofs connected to the house your in so they can get in through the windows. These guys are crazy. Get the shotgun and your set. Theres money involved though? A wierd twist to a RE game.
 
The money allows you to buy weapons and weapon upgrades from this merchant guy. I agree, it is sort of strange. Ben Judd (a Capcom employee who posts at GameFaqs.com) hinted towards this way back over the summer. He said this is one of the possible reasons why the game may be given a slightly worse score. He said there was much heated debate over this at Capcom, but in the end, it was decided that they should do this.

Wow, 9.6 that is really good, and 9.8 at IGN. Soo excited for this game as I am sure many of you also are. Too bad Gamestop won't get it till Wednesday... :(

Nice, the price should be going up for these soon on ebay then. I was lucky enough to reserve 2 of these (one online, one at the store (I have a ton of store credit to GameStop)). I will pick the store one up this weekend and keep it in a safe place.
 
i have it now, preordered in store from eb and drove there to pick it up before my classes today...

it is everything the reviews say it is and more! im pissed i have classes today!
