Reading MFC forum, it seems EMS can be cheaper than DHL for larger shipments.

IIRC, DHL and FedEx charge by volume, not weight, so yeah. Those services tend to be best for heavier/denser items.

For my single Nendo from AmiAmi, the cost with DHL shipping was about the same as if I had ordered directly from GSC US with their pre-order shipping discount ($62 from AmiAmi vs $60 from GSC US). This is thanks to good DHL pricing from AmiAmi and strong USD vs JPY.

 

I have a few more Japan pre-orders left (one Nendo, six scales), but the rest of my figure pre-orders are domestic for the foreseeable future.

Also the bones need gray shading instead of being plain white. Doubt it's going to look any better in the end with Square Enix making these. Similar to Nendo Nier's Grimoire Weiss being solid silver without any brown >_<

At any rate, it's a shame. I managed to get the Emil Bring Arts from some crazy person who only wanted Brother Nier from that set, and he turned out great.

 

Maybe Square Enix is stealthily trying to turn us off the idea of Square Enix Nendos (which some collectors have been begging for for years) by making bad ones

I finally opened up Nendo Doom Slayer yesterday. He turned out well. It kinda looks like you can remove the front of the helmet like any other Nendo faceplate, but you can't. Chainsaw with blood effect is sweet and pairs well with the adorably small Cacodemon. BFG or rabbit would have been icing.
