Glad I didn't jump on the $200 Target/BB/Amz "sales" this week.

Now we can get Vitas for $150 or less this black friday.

feel bad for those who purchased the Walking Dead bundle... essentially paid $25 for a useless 4gb card.   or maybe just feel bad for the CSR who has to handle angry calls/return from the 10 people that bought the bundle :)

Good, even cheaper Cowboom prices? Still waiting for that $100 VIta.

They should have the walking dead bundle at $200

What do you mean, 10 people?

I can't find the bundle anywhere at brick and mortar stores.

Just people receiving pickup notice from gamestop saying friday or tomorrow.  If amazon have them, it would've been shipped out and available already since today is supposedly the release day.

in other news, amazon dropped the price for the bundle to $199

Oh you guys *laughtrack*

Looks like those memory card price reductions we saw earlier in the week were the new msrp I would like to imagine.

What's the word on the memory cards though is what I'm waiting for now.

Finally. Can't wait for the day to snag one for around 100 ish. I am happy about the memory card price drop too. Those things were expensive.

I am not huge into handhelds and don't play them much. So as much as I want one its very hard to justify the price when I look at what I paid for my PSP and how much use it got.

The only dilemma now is whether or not to get a Vita or use the money to cover almost half a PS4.

Something tells me even with the price drop I will end up skipping it and sticking to next gen consoles. I will probably wait for the day I can get a used one on craigslist for $60 bucks or so like you can with PSP's now.

About time.

With that being said, I'll wait until the holiday, to see if there is any holiday bundles, or BF deals.

They probably won't further drop the price, but will have unique / special bundles. Like Killzone Mercs + Red Vita for $200.
Last year they had the white Vita AC bundles for $170, and that was when MSRP was $250.

I think it's safe to say we will be able to snag a Vita for ~$150 this BF.

"No longer available" :whistle2:|
Holy crap! That was quick.

I wonder if they'll cancel mine? The checkout format for the sony store is so ridiculously bad it took me forever to get it to accept my information. I was going to give this to my girlfriend's brother as a back to school gift (just the console + 4GB + Unit 13) and sell the PS+ membership to offset some of the cost.

Edit:

I wonder if they pulled the listing due to the price? They still have 100+ on their eBay page for $299.99

Did the price of the 16GB card already drop at Gamestop?  It's $39.99.  Wasn't it $49.99 or $59.99 earlier?  Sorry I might be losing my mind

Am I the only vita owner that never uses it?  I like the system.  I downloaded the PS+ games.  I bought a bunch of physical copies of games but I just never find the desire to play it.

On topic, I have the 32GB card.  Even that fills up quick with the PS+ stuff.

I regret not picking this up for $160 with 2 free games, white color, & 3 months PS+ last black friday, so I'll only pick this up for an even cheaper price or if they released it in red color.

Borrowed a Vita from a friend to play Virtue's Last Reward, only game I needed to play. I do want to check out Soul Sacrifice and Gravity Rush though.

I'm surprised. Aside from the lack of games not indies (and even still, the lack of games I'm interested in), I really like the PS Vita. It's definitely the best handheld I've ever had, the OS is slick and fast, it can do a lot, and it's perfect for when I'm lazy to go to the couch to play PS3. If it just had the games....seriously. Can't wait until October for Ys: Memories of Celceta

The problem with the high card prices is fear of piracy. So they made a new format, money were poured in IIRC these prices were same as their MSPro Duo for PSP back then. But Sony ain't the same as Ninty or MS to backdown they shit like 3DS or X180 policies. Well at least we have some discounts.

16GB card seems to be the sweet spot now. It's still expensive vs. SD, but Vita + 16Gb is now less than old MSRP of a WiFi unit. You can fill a 16 easily, but its enough to hold several retail games and a slew of indies and have a great Vita experience.

I am happy the price finally dropped.  Soon I will be able to get a used one of off craigslist for $50ish. Just like you can with PSP now.

I paid $199.99 for my rockband PSP bundle and I really never used it enough to justify the price I paid. I got my PSP around the same time as my PS3.  My PSP probably got about 5% usage that my PS3 did. Probably played my PSP in total for 100 hours. Compared to my PS3 which I have thousands of hours of play time.

I'm not huge into playing on handhelds so even with the price drop I would probably sooner get a PS4 as I would actually use it. But I still like the fact that it happened. It means I will get a Vita for cheap sooner then later.

ill pay 10 buck for your ps plus

Am I the only one who wants one for remote play?

Playing ps4 games while on the shitter?

Bueller? Bueller?
I usually do not spend enough time on the toilet where it makes sense to play video games, and even if I did, I would not. That's what the MP3 player is for you. Allows me to pass the time, while being hands free.

I ride the bus for about 1.5 hours everyday, so the Vita is AMAZING for that
