Just played the new stereo mix for King Crimson's "THRAK" album. Not very impressed as I prefer the original stereo mix. The dueling drum work now is split off between the left and right speaker which ruins the very deep stereophonic sound that was on the original mix. Plus Tony Levin's brilliant bass is now buried in the right speaker as well which really ruins the flow for many songs. Hopefully the new stereo/5.1 mix for the Yes album "Fragile" will be much better.

Been listening to Radiohead for almost a month now. Recently got into them, and oh man, they are so good.
OK Computer is probably the best album ever. It's Perfectly Crafted from beginning to end.

For me it's been I See Stars and Crossfaith for the last few days. Bit of a metalcore stint.

I started out with OK Computer, then got around The Bends, now I'm listening to Kid A. I think Kid A is a fantastic album as well, but it isn't as ''accessible'' as OK Computer. Took me a few listens to get into it.
Still haven't heard their other albums completely.

I need to buy more Radiohead. I like them, just need to get off my ass and buy their albums (I don't buy digital, only physical).
Right now I am listening to the new Frank Zappa The Roxy concert. They finally put out the whole show and well it is an amazing concert.
On Tuesday I got an album from Eric Johnson and Mike Stern coming in. Although I will have to spotify that one at work because Fallout.

Electro-Orchestra sounds awesome. Like a Disney/pirate movie theme song with Laura Brehm's angelic vocals

(I listen to all genres of music, except for country, and even if I don't listen to certain artists I'll check out big releases once)
The new Ellie Goulding, The Weeknd and CHVRCHΞS albums are all pretty much excellent. Expertly written pop records.
It's funny that in the age of streaming and iTunes where you can just listen to or buy the singles, the album as an art form is stronger than it has been in 20 years.

The new RHCP album is sweet. So much better than their last one. Cannot wait to see them on tour next year.
