A lot of smaller games are getting PS4 retail releases, with 20% Off Pre-Orders via Amazon. If you find any others post below.

For some reason I have a feeling that one of these will end up being a holy grail 10 years from now. Sony lets companies print copies in low numbers (in the thousands) and I have a feeling that many of these are in that number range. Are they good games? I don't know, but this thread is good for collector's of PS4 games.

Thanks for the Post thorbahn3, I have republique preordered. Idk about the rest maybe battle worlds, super dungeon bros and ether one may be some to consider but Giana sister's though? I have these on Psn and Xbl already Sony give me a break on my wallet please.

I like this idea. Noticed more and more of these digital titles getting retail releases. Tiny Troopers Joint Ops is another one

http://www.amazon.com/Tiny-Troopers-Joint-Ops-Zombie-PS4/dp/B01AM11D0C/ref=sr_1_2?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1458254874&sr=1-2&keywords=tiny+troopers

Also funny to me that this is the exact same thing as Limited Run Games which everyone seems to love, but these games get like 1/100th of the press they do.

oh Teslagrad has a retail release too

Republique is the only one i heard of so far on that list and i played that on android.  I'm going to keep an eye out on this list.

I've been waiting for Kromaia (PS4) to go under $15, I've seen it as low as $17.xx on AWD but not cheap enough.
Out of 720 owners no one has the plat, so I don't know if one of the trophies is glitched. Just in case you care about that

I also can't follow the action in this clip whatsoever

Of these, Kromaia, Kronos and Republique look most interesting to me.  Also noticed one called Teslagrad while browsing some of these titles.  Are these only going to available online or will some trickle into retail?

What happens first: they drop prices, or sell out?

I bought Brothers at $20 ($16 GCU), but then the price dropped after Christmas.

Looked up gameplay video of RBI Baseball 2016. I think I might be better off buying last years The Show if I'm looking to save some cash.

hello new thread smell!

going to keep my eye on this list for some sweet stuff to check out. ive been needing a big change of pace.

if we could get a super awesome dungeon crawler like baldurs gate dark alliance or champions of norrath, id be all over it.

or gauntlet legends, i miss that game from my nintendo 64 and PS2 days (gauntlet dark legacy)

Great idea for a thread thorbahn3. I noticed these budget releases as well. Even more interesting, some of them are exclusive to only certain retailers, like Giana Sisters at Amazon.

One to look out for is Song of the Deep, an Insomniac game, only 14.99 preorder at GS:

http://www.gamestop.com/ps4/games/song-of-the-deep/128471

Another interesting release (UK though, not NA) is Ziggurat:

http://www.amazon.com/Ziggurat-PS4/dp/B01CO9NHV8/ref=sr_1_7?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1458276891&sr=1-7&keywords=soedesco

Also, Super Dungeon Bros is coming out sometime this year:

http://www.amazon.com/Super-Dungeon-Bros-PlayStation-4/dp/B01B96L1QK/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1458277127&sr=1-1&keywords=super+dungeon+bros

Some of these budget releases, like Kromaia Omega (which I got from Amazon, great little game), have very limited distribution, and may end up being less common.

Wow a lot of smaller games getting physical releases. Good for those developers. I'm going to hold off for now, but love the thread idea OP!

Also if I collected physical editions of ps4 games, games like this would probably ruin it for me.

Most of these I've only seen for sale on Amazon, though I've seen Kromaia at TRU (for $19.99) and Brothers and a few others at Best Buy.

Interesting to note that I've only seen Teslagrad on Amazon and now Amazon has apparently sold through it's stock as no more copies are shipped from and sold by Amazon.  The price will likely start rising on that unless they get some more stock in.

I can't really recommend the last Tinker. It's not terrible but I don't like it. You auto jump by running at obstacles instead of having a designated jump button. I only played about 10 minutes tho.

Thanks for this thread, I've also been following these and made a thread on a few other sites. I didn't know about ether one. Kromia seems like it'll be uncommon for sure.

Teslagrad also had a ps3 release but it seems way harder to find (I got it sealed still). I'm hesitant to grab some of these because I feel like they'll be $5 at gamestop eventually, although hard to find.

Also the release dates are tentative. I had the last Tinker pre-ordered for weeks and watched it go out of stock and change the date a few times.

That one looks like trine to me.

Old one I got that in a 4/20 sale at gamestop.

There's also a pure chess, definitely saw these at best buy and gamestop.

Arcania only 12 bucks now.

Idk much about that. Kinda looks like army men.

A lot of these were on PS+ already (like Either One). I picked up Kromaia at Walmart before the holidays. It was like $17 or something. Seen others (like Teslagrad) at Target and GameStop. Republique looks interesting. Legend of Kay and Awesomenauts! Assemble (if they count) are both readily available at most retailers for $20 or less.

Picked up Teslagrad PS3 a couple months ago on Amazon for I think $10. Just grabbed Kromaia PS4 from WalMart w/ free store pick up. Bought Giana Sisters Twisted Dreams PS4 on amazon a couple days ago but it hasn't shipped. Pre-ordered Songs of the Deep PS4 from GameStop yesterday (thanks for the tip chimpmeister). I just hope it's an actual disc & not a download code in a box. Cool thread OP.

Considering its gamestop and they make almost all their money on used games, I'm assuming it's a disc you can trade back into them for 1/100th it's value. I very much doubt they're willingly pushing digital.

Not sure if you are trying to keep this thread / wiki North American releases only but Ziggurat looks to fall into this small release budget category. It just appears to maybe be a European only physical release though?

http://www.amazon.com/Ziggurat-PS4/dp/B01CO9NHV8/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1458702283&sr=1-1&keywords=Ziggurat
Yep, I mentioned it earlier in the thread. UK/EU only physical release, but for only $24 shipped it is very tempting! I've been considering it, I also really like the game (got it from PSN on sale).

Battle Worlds: Kronos ($19.99):

http://www.amazon.com/Battle-Worlds-Kronos-PlayStation-4/dp/B01BMESDVK/ref=pd_sim_63_4?ie=UTF8&dpID=51TcJfflELL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR127%2C160_&refRID=10HEVHZST8PZQ2XA13XA

Ziggurat still available on Amazon UK, but about $32 shipped. Was about $24 on Amazon NA, wish I had gotten one there before they sold out.
It seems pretty likely that Ziggurat and a number of the other Soedesco published games will be getting a US release in the near future. I know there were several posts on their forums and Facebook page about that specific game a couple of months ago with an indication that they were working on a US release.

Thanks for the info, I really hope it gets a NA release. Will definitely pick it up if it does.

Agreed, there is a very high chance Soedesco games will get released here in the US. It took at least a year for them to finally bring Giana Sisters and The Last Tinker after a release in Europe.

Ether One, which is supposed to come out next week, looks like another Sodesco release.

Apparently Song of the Deep is actually going to be published by Gamestop as their first published video game. This means it'll definitely be a Gamestop exclusive. The price is right though, and it looks beautiful. Guess I better put a preorder in.

I was looking for Kromaia Omega locally and found it at only two GS within 100 miles. No other retailer in the city was carrying it. Luckily one of the GS that was carrying it was just a few blocks away.

I think GS never carried the game new. I found one used copy at a GS in my area, but never saw it in any other stores.

Did you check TRU? They have it for shipping (and pickup in some local stores):

It is digital only.
