I don't care about racing games that aren't Burnout, but god damn this game looks great. May be the first non-Burnout driving game i've bought since GT2 on PS1.

Does anyone know in FH3 if they will require you to drive to an event every time like in FH2? One of my most annoying parts of FH2 is finishing an event series then if I wanted to do another one, drive however long it was to get to the new event series. I don't mind the first time but every time after that it got annoying because I could not fast travel.

Yeah I don't know, def agree with you on that one. That might have been with the FH2 game, it was that it's not the destination it's the adventure there they kept focusing on.

Demo was fun. Going to grab this digitally for the Play Anywhere, pretty excited about that. What a great series this is.

It's been a while since I played FH2 but I thought you could fast travel once you unlocked a location and it just cost you some cash to do so. Could be wrong.

Man the game looks gorgeous.

Does anybody know how the Xbox one disc versions of this game , get you the windows 10 version ? All the marketing on play anywhere just mentions digital purchases . Is there a code ?

So, does anybody else get annoyed that there is no map on the GPS screen when you go into the cockpit view? Besides that, I love the game immensely and I'm not a real racing fan.

Ah, pretty sure there is... it even zooms out the faster you go.

Or am I miss understanding you?

Minus some technical hickups I'm enjoying the hell out of the game.

When in cockpit view of the car, in the middle of dash there always seems to be a screen. Mine are always blank. Would have been perfect to add a GPS map there. Not talking about the regular gps hud.

Trying to get that sell 5 car achievement in the auction house.

Anyone have any tips? I bought a few 25k cars and been trying to sell them for the lowest price possible but no luck.

Well, the easy thing to do is find someone willing to buy and sell the same cheap car back and forth... If both are online at the same time it would go by real quick I imagine.

Edit: Add me, I would do it with ya. Live: INMATEofARKHAM

I discovered a glitch in FH3. I upgraded my festival and the game said I get to choose the free car as usual, but it turned out they charged me 300k the price of the car. fuck

Is it just me or does anyone else's wheel spins suck? I think in 20 levels I got one car and got the lowest amount possible about 6-7 times.

Does anyone know of any good tutorials for drifting? I am terrible at it and I need to get better to do the drift zones.
Balance out the throttle and the brake while almost sideways. The easiest way to go about it is like a rally racer and hit the e-brake and turn the steering wheel the opposite direction of the corner. Just practice in the open world whenever and you'll get the hang of it.

Is it me or is the game really hard to control?  I've played through GT4, GT5, Burnout Paradise, Need for Speed, etc. with no problems, but I am having a really hard time controlling the car in this game.  I spin out and fish tail constantly.  Are there any driving assists to turn on anywhere?  I'm playing on the PC with a 360 controller if that makes a difference.

The game does look amazing though, even on my 3 year old PC with a bit above the minimum requirements.  The low video memory pop up every 30 seconds is annoying as hell though.

I'm no way expert at it but to get 3 stars in drift zones you will want the most speed and angle you can get. The rest will just be maintaining the drift and chaining them together.

I find it quite difficult to scandinavian flick or simply downshift to initiate a drift in this game. 99% of the time I have to hit the ebrake then maintain it from there. I play with all assist off at steering in normal as I'm using a controller. Its actually quite easy to drift in this game compare to driving sims like assetto.

If you can describe the issue youre having it might be easier for us to give you advices. Are you spinning out? Spring back to other direction too fast? Not able to hold the drift for the entire corner?

The problem I have is when I drift controlling it so I don't spin out. I am either too holding back so I don't get a good drift/angle or I overextend and spin out.

I have also become addicted to the wheelspins since I bought that perk where I can buy them. I don't waste all my money but I put a lot down so far on them. It's a risk but I want that Ford GT.

Rwd makes it easier than awd. I learned I was spinning a lot because of awd.

I have a buddy who is crazy good with drifting. He's been helping me out.

AWD is easier, for the most part... You do want to turn off traction and stability control in your difficulty options... For some of the shorter trials you might want to do an online adventure in solo mode. (It will get rid of the drivatars but you won't be able to rewind.)

Maybe someone can help.  I'm no car expert, nor expert in driving games.  The one thing I find frustrating so far is that I can't make hard turns.  Is that because of an in-game setting that I should disable/enable?  Like, is the game deliberately trying to "help" me by not letting me do hard turns so I don't accidentally flip my car?

Grabbed the game during the XBL BF deals, didn't think I'd have the ability to download it but then went to my Aunt and Uncle's house so I got it down digitally. Not before I received an email that BB shipped me the physical copy I got for a decent price. Lol so anyone want a physical copy of the game?

So I was just racing around in the rain at night in a street race that had a NFS: Carbon vibe to it. Then after the race, just dicking around in the outback, the sun came up and what do I see a rainbow. They thought of everything lol. Gorgeous

I just built the festival in the Outback, as I went Urban City and then Valley before Outback. I'm driving the Ariel Nomad seamlessly from the Outback and then the Rain Forest picking up boards I need to smash or finding more roads to discover. God this games fun.

I have a XP board above a crashed plane and have no way of obtaining it. There was a board atop a building and I used the Nomad and an adjacent hill - previously unobtainable as well - but with this I can't seem to get the right amount of height to reach it.

Those were the two that I had the most trouble with as well. To get the one on the plane (if it's the one I am thinking of) there is a sand dune near it with a tree or two on it. You need to have something fairly fast, and hit it just right. I believe I used the Old Dodge Dart that I have all maxed out. The best way to do it is just keep rewinding until you have the angle and speed correct.

Thanks for the tip, I eventually got it.  :D/

Yeah I have been having a blast with this game lately. Just unlocked the Goliath races, man that was long but fun (used modern super cars).

There are soooo many Races, PR stunts, Bucketlists, Vistas, & Speedtraps/Speed Zones/Drift Zones that are on my map lol.

No problem man.

I got back into playing it more a few weeks ago after realizing the Forzathon usually has one challenge that awards 3 wheelspins and I felt guilty about not playing after having bought the Expansion Pass. I haven't got the Goliath race yet, but I have been on Blizzard Mountain for most the time trying to knock out all of the achievements there. Getting all stars is going to drive me insane as some of the speed traps and speed zones are going to drive me absolutely insane. I feel like most the drift zones are a piece of cake in this came now that I have the Subaru HE Drift Boost car. Most the drift zones in both Byron Bay or Blizzard Mountain I am able to get in either the Subaru or the old trusty Dodge Dart (which I think is still my favorite car in the game).

If you haven't tried out the Dart, max it out in everything and throw the AWD in it. 1500 HP or so AWD. The car flies and handles so nice.

Thanks for the tip on the Dart.  I'll have to try that out.

I picked up the DLC but haven't played it much since before the holidays.  I really need to get back into it though.  I really dig the soundtrack too.  Some people on youtube have made the compilations according to the station so I've been listening to the songs at work.

So, the Car Pass DLC is on sale for $17.99. Is there any reason to actually get that other than just being a fan of the cars in it?

I find myself only wanting to drive Horizon Edition cars anyway because of the various boosts they receive. I've got 11 HE cars right now and using anything else just seems kind of pointless.

Lol, while that is true yeah it'll boil down to how much of a car dude/dudet you are. I picked it up.

I actually have been driving around with the M3 I won in the epic street race, good ol' Most Wanted ride.

Yea, have to say this is the most fun (and gorgeous to boot) racing game I have played in a while. A good break between playing through all the backlog I have accumulated.

Speaking of which, I just spent 3 hours working on a livery for my Audi TT Quattro and when I got out of the garage and back in the Festival it was dark and raining (with brilliant stars visible). Unbelievable how it looks when that happens and the day/night cycle for this game is underrated - the other night I just stayed on a hill watching the ocean and the sun come up, magical.

I try to take in the scenery but it's tough at 200 mph. The tree detail looks great though when I wrap my car around them.

The game is definitely gorgeous though. I especially like Blizzard Mountain. I remember doing one of the bucket list challenges that was at night and thinking, "Damn this was like my drive home... Minus the fact that I don't own a million dollar car." To be honest the night time blizzard effect is spot on though. As someone who has lived all his life in Michigan and has driven in some of the worst snow storms that the U.S. has to offer... The realism is spot on.

I don't know about you guys, but I really like the way they set up the 3 star method for Blizzard Mountain. To me I think it works better than the basic, "Do this race and win." The added requirement for doing ______ or getting a score of _____ adds more replay value to me. I'm going to try my hardest to get the achievement for all stars, but I know it's going to be a challenge. There are a couple speed zones and speed traps that I can already tell are going to be a pain in the ass.

I hate DLC, because every time I have no interest, as I haven't put in any investment or gotten anything out of the game yet, and I'll skip the DLC. I really want to play Blizzard Mountain now lol. Well, time to wait for a sale.

Wait, so you bought the car pass DLC, but were unsure of the actual game expansions? That seems backward to me, lol.

As soon as I saw Blizzard Mountain I knew it would be worth it. And you can kind of save money if you buy the expansion pass. It's $34.99...but that's cheaper than buying them separately.

^...when it was on sale, after I had played the game.
Different strokes for different folks, I guess. I did the opposite...bought the expansion pass at full price and passed on the car pass when it was on sale, haha. I would have liked to have gotten the expansions on sale...but I remember with previous Horizons, by the time the expansions went on sale, I was done with the game months ago. And as dumb as it sounds, I wanted to play Blizzard Mountain during the winter, lol.
