Want the book and the map and probably going to gift the game or sell it.  Tried to checkout, but is not available for prime discount.  Hopefully Best Buy will have pre-order available.

The box art is amazing on that 2DS.
I couldn’t agree more.
On that note, does anyone else see the irony of Nintendo bundling a re-release of a game with the Zelda logo advertising 3D capability, only to be bottlenecked by the bundled console model (2D-only)?

The 2DS is awful and there are currently three 3DS' in my home.  I also own Zelda on Switch.  Goddammit, I think I need both of these things in the OP.  Why Nintendo?  Why you do this to mee?

I picked up a 2ds for cheap a while back, after I finally broke down and bought a black New 3DS. While the 3DS isnt exactly great (99% of my handheld gaming was at the time on a Vita... so much better graphics and remote play) the 2DS.... feels more like one of those tiger games with better buttons.

Battery drained on the 2DS one day... still haven't recharged it lol.

If someone owns a Switch, and does not own BOTW.... :shame:

Side note: With Ferrari Racers last post... how many people will be trampled trying to buy 1 or both of these?

and I say by the end of the week we will have our first person camping outside a Bestbuy for one. (In costume)

The box looks better than the system.  Remember amazon did the 99 dollar ones a few hours early last year so don't trust what date they say.  Be ready that whole week.

Just bought an Odyssey Switch bundle and was going to buy Zelda when I finished Mario, but looks like now I'll wait.

:/ nothing about that 2ds screams Zelda edition. I mean damn put a triforce logo in a corner or something. Without the box I'd think it was just a Luigi inspired 2ds

Does anybody have any idea what's in the book?  I have the game on Wii U, but I'm picking up a Switch soon and I'm trying to decide how much I need to double dip.

fuck I wanted one of those $100 3DS again :C

I would grab a 2ds with no problem if it was the folding one with the extra sick. Wtf is this garbage!?

You know "N" sells those standard models with the plates on their online store "refurbished" for $125 right? Not the exact ones for $100 last year, but a decent variety none the less. https://store.nintendo.com/ng3/browse/subcategory.jsp?categoryId=cat771516

If they are like all their other refurbed items, they should be like new. I've been trying to gather some extra funds myself to grab one white and one black for back ups, just in case. Me, my son & wife all have that model, so having a back up is probably a good idea. I'm gonna try and at least get one before there gone, but they've been up awhile now. So I haven't been killing myself to place an order.

Nintendo has given me so many damn maps of Hyrule over the years. I'm just going to scatter them all around my house with big red circles and X's drawn on them to make friends and family think I'm losing my mind

I don't understand why the Zelda game doesn't have the 20% off for Prime members.  Do they pick and choose what new games that applies for?

It sometimes takes a while (in some cases weeks or months) for new game listings to show the discount. I'm sure it has to do with not wanting to inadvertently applying the discount to every listing that goes up because Amazon makes many listing mistakes and often puts up things that aren't video games at all in the video game category on accident.

I'm... sick. I have every Zelda themed system released. Trading my Crystal Blue 2DS to Best Buy today for $50.
How are you getting $50? The website shows $32.

EDIT: Nevermind, I was looking at the crystal red model. I wonder why that model gets so much.

Anyone seen any info on what exactly is in the Explorer's Guide or who it's made by? Trying to decide if it's the worth the hassle of buying and reselling the standalone game, but I can't find anything about it.

With it coming direct from "N", don't be surprised if you don't know anything until an unboxing video happens. Sometimes you'll get a preview video directly from one of the regions(all, none or some), but that varies from game to game, and region to region.

I'm actually interested myself, so I'm hoping more info comes along as well. But since this would pretty much be a double dip for almost every NS owner, don't be surprised if nothing is offered before hand, as that might scare off potential diehards who may buy it sight unseen.

Maybe waiting on the prime discount was a bad idea. Now it’s out of stock. I don’t see anywhere saying production is limited though.

I just bought the 2ds Pokeball. I have the original 2ds and prefer the clam shell design. Easier to place in your pocket and protect the screen.

I get the feeling that Explorer's Edition is exclusive to Amazon... selling my regular copy without getting it when was available was a mistake
