This is sound advice. I suppose what matters most is how long you plan to wait to buy a PS5. I don't plan to get one for at least the next two years. Part of this is the supply issue (I'm not hunting for a console - don't care enough and have far better things to do), but mostly I pick up new consoles after there are at least 50 games I want on it. PS5 has a while to go to get there.
So for me, I'll pick up PS4 versions of PS5 games, especially if they're at a reasonable price.
Apparently, Sony is going to continue making PS4s this year, so it's still a viable system to own.
