Current main Deals thread.

In order to not bog down the usual Deals discussion, we’ll move over more detailed discussion over here.

The basics
The South American eShops are unique in that purchases are made through a web store, and codes are sent to the user’s email.

Argentina: https://store.nintendo.com.ar/
Chile: https://store.nintendo.cl/
Colombia: https://store.nintendo.co/
Peru: https://store.nintendo.com.pe/
Brazil: https://store.nintendo.com.br/

These codes also happen to be redeemable in accounts from other regions (we have confirmed at least the US), and also award the account the respective Gold Coins for that title. Accounts for these regions do not make use of the coin system, therefore select recent titles might not award them. Take this into account when purchasing titles released after September 20, 2019.

Hong Kong: https://store.nintendo.com.hk/games/all-released-games

Codes for territories like Hong Kong above are likely not compatible with American and European accounts.

The sites accept payment through Visa, MasterCard and American Express cards (no Paypal support at this point in time, but HK supports Alipay), and will charge your card in their local currency, so be mindful of your card’s foreign currency policies. It is also highly recommended that you refrain from using a debit card for this, just in case.

The prices (will be updated every once in a bit)
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12joYoOPBiwCio5jeIqOLrgwhj968G2iM9REhuomqZd0/edit?usp=sharing

The details (for Argentina, but mostly the same in the others)
I would recommend you to set up a new Nintendo account. Since at no point you actually need to log into an Argentinian account on your Switch, you can just have a secondary account for the sole purpose of using the web store, without going through the trouble of swapping regions on your existing account. Since this would be a regular Nintendo account, you can set up two-factor authentication on it and everything. Make sure to use an email address you can easily access.

Once signed up, you can log into the web store and put your selected items into the shopping cart. Please note that Nintendo Online subscription codes are not compatible with your foreign account. On a similar note, at this point in time, I haven’t tried (or seen an attempt) to redeem DLC to a foreign account, so please keep that in mind.

To proceed with checkout, you’ll need to enter a National ID Number (a random number will do, but you can google a picture of the document for reference) and a billing address. There have been reports of successful purchases using one’s regular address (with slight alterations to fit the requirements of the form) or a local or made-up address. This very much depends on your bank and other personal circumstances, and sheer luck. For some it has worked right away, and others have been denied only to have it work a couple of weeks later with the same info for no reason. Does the site check your info against anything? Dunno.

Afterwards, the site will request your credit card information, and you get your result. If successful, be on the lookout for a “Confirmacion de compra digital de Nintendo” email that will include your codes. In times of high demand, the messages could take anywhere from 30 minutes to 48 hours to arrive, but usually you should get it within 15 minutes.

Understand the desire for a separate topic, but at the same time, this is the same stuff that's been on there since the beginning, unfortunately. Wake me up when something new pops up.

posters say that the codes gives no coins. thanks to all!
Could you tell me which posts say so? I’m not sure on where the coin cut-off is.

Asking because this weekend I bought Wargroove and Sayonara Wild Hearts and got coins from Wargroove and nothing from the other, so it’s not like they outright stopped.

but sayonara is a new game, so maybe the buyers ruined the offer, many argentinian like most sud american players make US accounts, so they could claim the coins in the US account as an extra on top of the price.

I agree, especially when it you consider that the coins aren’t used in the Argentina system at all. You don’t earn them and you can’t use them in their Switch ecosystem. So why let the foreigners bending the rules have them at all?

easy, because Nintendo is different in the vision of DLC content, like compatibility and region free for the DLC no matter where you get it from.

and that vision does not exclude like other systems for example: try to buy a game from other region in steam... you can´t, argentina prices for the games are non existent to dollar counterparts. nintendo must have been in talks with indie developers to accomodate their prices to match the region steam versions, mostly to compete

Maybe I'm misunderstanding but can this be used to actually gift specific games to people?  That's a decent reason to bother with this, even if a game isn't on sale.  Really wish Nintendo and Sony would let us do this without any workarounds, Steam/iTunes-style!

Yeah, I hadn’t thought of that. You can redeem it on an unrelated account, after all. The selection is a bit limited, but so are Amazon’s and Best Buy’s and such.

Small update: Killer Queen Black was added to the site today, however it doesn’t have a significant price difference from the US shop.

*it does not want to have a significant difference thanks to the rush of greedy buyers last month...

¿by chance? i don´t think so...

Just to clarify the errors about Coins and AR codes...

Where you get the code from does NOT matter....... it's the account.

If it's a US account, you get coins. (or any other region that has coins)

If it's an Argentina account... you don't.

If you Switched to AR, Bought AND REDEEMED... you didn't get coins.

If you Bought from AR, and REDEEMED on a US account.... Coins!

I had credit on my US account, so I used my Mexico account (switched to AR) and used the Codes from the purchase on my US account. *I got coins on the US account*

You can go search the eShop thread if you'd like, I bought 3 games on the 12th. Here's the screencaps from Nintendo's website. These 3 games listed here, and the 3 I said I bought in the thread, and they were all at super low AR prices.

(NVM, Did the legwork anyway)

Saw there are people *still* spreading the BS that you don't get coins from AR... has nothing to do with *where* you got ANY code.... it's *ALL* based on the region the account is based.

Figured i'd post the pics here instead of the eShop thread.

Site update today: Overwatch is up for about $38 and Witcher 3 is up too... for $85. Jesus Christ what.

CD Projekt is listed as publisher and not even pre-orders for future titles are priced out of the ordinary, so I’d chalk it up to them doing whatever they want with their title, but... jeez.

now it is the same as the Argentinian PSN store 20% more expensive an with prices in dollars

Welp, guess we’re due for a thread update!

Btw, the AR price is about $15, which is nice, but not $2 nice.

if somebody kind enough to trade one code of that cheap cheap obra dinn for some steam keys i have i will thank you

i came to tell you i redeemed an EU code for  Vasara Collection and no coins, ¡nada!

it seems Nintendo could start blocking this benefit to prevent abuse of the region free.

Stopping by to mention that the ARG Peso has been trending downward this week in response to the expected result of tomorrow’s elections over there.

I’m not saying we’ll see some massive drop, but things there might get a tad cheaper come Monday.

A number of titles in these webstores (Argentina, Colombia, Peru and Chile) now have discounts. Mostly third-party titles, and in the case of Argentina, the really cheap stuff is CHEAPER.

So, I'm trying to checkout for a handful of the on sale Argentina titles, but it seems like I'm stuck in a loop when I try to checkout. I've already signed in under my alt/secondary account, but when the option to pay comes up, it acts like I'm not signed at all, I click to sign in, and the process just begins again. Can't seem to break out of it. Is anyone else able to complete their transaction today? FYI that I've been able to complete purchases on both the Argentina and Columbia ehops without issue, but it's been a few weeks (last purchase was Obra Dinn on the cheap).

Figured it out - I kept trying to change the region from the main eshop page, but not my actual account. Once I switched that to Argentina, it was all good. Picked up the 6 cheapest games. Thanks for the heads up on this sale.

This is awesome, thanks.

Anyone with good feedback, please message me if you can get codes for Katana Zero and Hollowknight.  I can trade you for some Amazon credit, thank you.

I've been trying with multiple cards and methods to no luck. If this is working for anyone and you are willing to buy a bunch of games for me (in exchange for a bit extra than you paid), please send me a PM.

I think I may be able to help you out. Just send me a PM if you're still interested.

Bit of an update, the webstores have added Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove and the three stand-alone SK games currently available. In Argentina Treasure Trove is about $30 and the stand-alones are a bit cheaper ($7.4-ish) than in NA.

In other news, there’s a Hong Kong webstore! Works pretty much the same and you can apparently use your US credit card on it.

Useful if you’re looking for the English-translated Super Robot Wars and their DLC, for example T:

Haven’t tried a purchase yet, since what I want is $70, so I’m going off info I found.

Looks like the Argentina eShop is running their BF-equivalent sale for whatever reason (maybe to match the New Year's sale on the US shop?). Prices should match up with the amounts mentioned previously.

If anyone is having issues picking up any of the cheap titles let me know, and we can work something out.

New Year’s sale ended yesterday, all titles back to their regular prices. By the way, I didn't mention it, but I didn't see any better prices in the other countries.

Finally updated OP to reflect other webstores.

Thanks for this. I've seen a lot of contradictory information and I'm just wondering if you're aware of specific payment methods that might work and let us obscure an address. For example, would a visa gift card work?

Privacy.com is a no go for me, because I don't want to share bank account info (my money) with any more online services than I have to. I'm sure that seems paranoid but I've had fraudulent charges and new credit cards issued probably 3 times in the last 8 years. Credit cards are much easier to resolve against fraudulent charges because it's the creditors money, not mine.

Thanks!

Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance - Tactics (yes, that’s the title) is available for pre-loading in the various eShops. Best price is Argentina for just under $15.

Sorry for the very late reply, but I think those have been kinda hit or miss, but if you want to get a cheap one to try it out, it’s worth a try.

It’s also likely that your purchase would go through anyway with a dummy address with your regular card, but I understand why you might not want to use it directly anyway.

Something really odd that happened was: I have a friend living over there, he tried to buy me a couple of games, and he couldn't.... so not sure what's the story...

If someone can help me, I can send money via paypal/amazon/etc

Thanks
