PS Store: PlayStation Plus 12-Month Sub $30 (Not available to existing PS+ subscribers)

Got a notification from the Playstation app with this. Right after I redeemed a code I bought on here...

Most households sub based on value proposition independently so it's not a zero-sum situation. PS+ pricing is a reflection of demand, which is down because the service is a worthless proposition in today's market.

 
Can I use psn credit or is this strictly a sign up with your credit card so they can maybe lock you into a full price second year if you forget to cancel offer?

If it makes it better, you can pay for it and cancel the renewal as soon as you sign up, that what i do in case I forget to find a cheap deal
